We regret to hear that the test did not yield the desired outcome, despite our concerted efforts to enhance your car control skills. Following a comprehensive analysis of the lesson and test results, we engaged in a conversation, proposing additional lessons to address identified issues and formulate a more effective plan for success. However, we understand that you opted not to pursue further lessons with our school. It's noteworthy that, according to your other review, you eventually undertook more hours of training and successfully completed the VORT test. This aligns with our earlier advice, indicating that additional training was essential for success. We respect your dedication, acknowledging the efforts put in by both you and our instructors. We appreciate your detailed feedback and want to address your concerns thoroughly. Safety is our utmost priority, and decisions during the test are made based on strict evaluation criteria set by the Department of Infrastructure & Transport (DIT). We are appointed as an examiner as part of the instrument of appointment which is governed by Motor Registrar. While we understand your frustration, driving over a solid white line which separates / divides the road for both side during a right turn with front and rear wheels is a safety violation, and our examiners prioritize adherence to traffic rules. Once we have witnessed a breach of road rule, VORT test is terminated and we have to bring the student back to start point ( designated by DIT ; not by us) We apologize for any confusion caused by the language barrier if there was any. The client is allowed to request to repeat the instructions given at any stage. The inquiry about previous tests or lessons is intended to tailor our approach mainly about handing over a 40K+ brand new car to a young person for the purpose of his driving test. In SA there is no legal requirement that a student must know how to handle a car prior to booking a VORT test. Anyone can do it but at the same time please understand if you would allow a stranger to get into your brand new car without knowing the past driving history. It is a matter of OHS and examiner feeling safe before proceeding with test as we have no history or record of his driving on our end. We take your feedback seriously and are committed to logical improvement. As far as result of a test is concerned; if it would have been any better or worse if your son had any lesson with us is no different to the fact that “ I can double my monies at Casino if I am good with Maths.” The importance of a lesson is to make sure that your son is well prepared and has the best chances to present his driving with proper system of car control and if there are any gray areas then we want to cover them as well to avoid any confusion in test. We are truly sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction during your recent driving test at our International Driving School. Your booking was as follow : TEST ONLY – You were not our student so we would not know any history of how good or bad you are/were. You requested TEST ONLY on 21/08/2023, TEST was organised for 24/08/2023 @9 AM @Port Adelaide. This was organised all within matter of 3 days turn around time when people in Adelaide are waiting more than 3 months to even get a lesson/test. We want to assure you that providing a fair and transparent testing environment is of upmost importance to us. We take your feedback seriously and have investigated the circumstances surrounding your test. We understand the frustration that can arise from feeling unfairly judged, and we are committed to addressing any concerns you may have. Upon checking your VORT assessment sheet; we have noted following outcome. - You decided to treat a BEND as a ROUND ABOUT and came to a complete stop as per your understanding stated to the examiner that you must stop for 3 seconds. Though the reality check was the fact that you were on a continuous road with no give-way and should have approached as per recommended speed for the bend instead of stopping all together and making the car behind you stopping for no reason and they had to beep at you to bring your attention that you should not have stopped to begin with. This is considered as an Unnecessary Obstruction from department prospective and results in an immediate fail for a VORT test. We just follow the rules and regulations set by the department.
