Two Police rider trainers recognise the need for public formal motorcycle training and Stay Upright – Australia’s first riding school, was born. It was named after the catchphrase used by the police riders as they left the St Ives Police Rider Training HQ. The first courses were Advanced, offered at NSW’s Amaroo and Oran Parks, on both asphalt and dirt surfaces. These were followed shortly afterwards by learn to ride courses in NSW and the ACT. Stay Upright Pty Ltd is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), nationally accredited by ASQA and is also accredited to provide training and testing services by VicRoads, Transport for NSW (TfNSW), the ACT Government, Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads.

Negative experience: Matt is a typical racist. He will tell you from the beginning that your native language is not English and that you will not pass the test and are ready to be fired you in any way, or even not give you the opportunity for training, completely depriving you of the right to be trained. The absurd reason for dismissal does not give you any explanation or a chance to try again. Matt is really the worst motorcycle coach. I have seen many negative comments from non English speaking learners about him, but it is very puzzling that he has always been working at Rouse Hill. He ruined the reputation of Stay Upright.

Negative experience: Never Recommend Matt Featherstone in Rouse Hill Branch he is such a racist and rude person . I have enrolled this course because i have zero knowledge and on the website you guys mentioned it's beginner friendly but it's not. Matt Featherstone never repeat what he said he just explain something one time and expect me to make no mistake at all even we can't ask questions and if we do he just ignored it. Matt Featherstone try to demotivate us from the beginning and he was like "I don't think you gonna make it" "you can't understand english" he keep telling this everytime we made a mistake. Just discriminating non english speaking country learners. Wondering how these kind of instructors ruin other instructors reputation as i saw how friendly craig job was to his learners. Entire experience was just a nightmare. Did two days annual leave and attended this but they got rid of me in 30 minutes. What a waste of time. Should have informed us if we dont have any experience you may ended up not doing the full course or to next day. Not even a clues until you got there. Not a begginer friendly place.

Negative experience: They don’t care about customer satisfaction! Do as they wish based on their “terms” and keep your money! What a shame!

Negative experience: I tried to book 3 separate advance Rider courses the first was cancelled due to Covid, and the second was during a rain storm and about two hours ride from where I lived, so I was forced to cancel and they kept my entire course fee telling me that the course was going anyway then I signed up for a second course and paid for it as well then found out that the day was 36° and the venue was at least two hours from Sydney which I would have to ride two hours there and then two hours back once again, they kept my entire course fee and refused to give me any refund or any rebooking, or any type of consideration whatsoever. I will never deal with these people again and have considerable financial pain to show for it. Please contact me and I will show you the completely inconsiderate emails and incredibly uncaring customer service. These people do not give a stuff about their customers.

Hi Richard, We understand your frustrations. As we discussed previously, our Terms and Conditions which were agreed to at the time of the booking clearly state that we require seven days notice to cancel or transfer a booking. Unfortunately we are unable to make changes to course bookings inside of the seven day window. Throughout the booking process, there are two occasions where you can view the Terms & Conditions and are required to acknowledge your acceptance of them. We can appreciate that it can be easy to overlook these when making a booking, and your feedback has been passed on to our Management Team to see if there is a way to have the Terms & Conditions more prominent through the booking process.
