Fantastic experience: I took classes from Mr. James from Melbourne Driving School who is an excellent instructor, very calm headed and a keen observer who would tell the fine points and yet will keep the morale high. He will recommend only the required lessons basis the learners driving experience and his assessment and would not suggest extra lessons for the sake of it. A genuine human being and a thorough gentleman, I highly recommend Mr. James for driving lessons for Victorian Driving License.

I cancelled my driving test when i was 17 because i wanted to pass first attempt, unfortunately life got in the way and following the completion of my nursing and a move to melbourne i was left with no support to navigate. A decade later here I am and after the support of Rick I have made it and on my first attempt! I found Rick after having had a poor experience with a different instructor who couldn’t teach me the little tips and tricks of parking and small manoeuvres. Rick has such a welcoming presence and has over 16 years of experience as an instructor! He takes the time to run through a check list and track your progress. Is great at explaining and giving clear instructions. I did 30 lessons and the test with Rick and felt excited to do my test but more importantly ready to tackle solo driving. Thank you Rick for sharing your knowledge and skills, showing me patience and understanding as well as facilitating my entrance on to the roads as a safe and competent driver. He was very patient and diligent in teaching me about the road rules of Australia. Mr.Ricardo is extremely nice yet strict with very genuine feedback on your driving skills and he helps you to improve your driving and ace the driving test.. I’m indeed very grateful for all the assistance and guidance he has provided to me in order to get me to drive in Australia.

Negative experience: Avoid the instructor George Momtaze by any means. I paid $319 for 5*60 minutes lesson and said specifically I never drove car in my life, so he needs to teach me from basic and he had no problem that time. Fast forward today, I had my first lesson, from the start the guy was rude. He asked me to come 30minutes away from my home and I obliged so that I can learn in a quite road but the instructor took me in a busy road within 10 minutes of instruction. Apparently this guy wants me to learn everything within first lesson whereas I never drove in my life and told him beforehand. He showed disappointment and arrogance literally every minute. Even he said he never saw someone slow like me and I lack common sense! I am still processing how can a person whom I am paying my hard earn money to teach me driving can say that! I had 2 hours lesson today but after one hour 5minutes this guy said I am wasting his time, after that I lost my cool and asked how can I waist his time when I am paying him hefty fees? However I stopped learning from him after that and tell him to return my money back but instead of returning my 3.55 hrs money George Momtaze returned only 3 hours of money. Another heads up, this guy doesn’t have enough vocabulary to instruct properly. "Go Easy" has several meanings to him. So my suggestion would be if you ever take lesson from this guy, write down all the meanings of "Go Easy". Also for his poor communication, I had to postponed my first driving lesson after meeting him 30min away from my home on last friday cause he failed to express the requirement needed to start learning.

James made me into a confident driver in just 3 months who passed first go. He is kind, funny, patient and the lessons were always very enjoyable. Fantastic experience: I am very pleased that I had Lili as my driving instructor. She made the most of the short time I had to practice before my test. Her instructions were clear and she brought me to different driving tracks for my Vicroads branch (Heatherton) so I could practice as much as I can. Her repetition of instructions helped me remember what to do in various situations. Her car was also comfortable to drive and use for the test - and I passed at my first appointment! Positive experience: I passed my test today with Charlie without his help at test time but I saw he do head check and re check before I decide to turn or during the road that is good because it help me remind what I should do.Thank you for Him to do that. I Lear with him 23 time approximate because I am not use to with Australian road law even pass the L test. I passed at Cartlon that is hard area then I have beed went out with my friend.before the test , Charlie just told me to relax. Lucky me that I have a tester that speak clear. Negative experience: Absolutely appalled at the lack of professionalism of this company. Late last week, I made a booking for a manual lesson, got a text from a man named "Richard" confirming whether it was automatic or manual. I confirmed manual lessons. Then, I received a confirmation email about my lesson being at 12pm Monday, citing a manual lesson. Today is that Monday, and no one arrived. I called up the number but I couldn't get a hold of anyone. I left a message per the voicemail instruction - I then received a call back from Richard, where he stated the following - "Hey you were looking for automatic lessons right?". I had to reiterate for the 3rd time I was after manual lessons, then I was told "sorry, can't help you there, bye" and he immediately hung up on me. 10/10 would not hire again - very disappointing experience all round.

Fantastic experience: Cathy was a fantastic driving instructor. Professional yet friendly. Felt comfortable and easily got along with Cathy from the first lesson. Calm, patient, great communication and guidance through clear simple instructions. Able to sense if I was nervous (I’m a worrier) and helped ease my nervousness. Cathy was punctual and car was clean. Easy to book lessons to suit my schedule. Flexible with pick up and drop off points. Each lesson was consistently building up new skills; never felt I was thrown into learning something I wasn’t ready for nor did I feel like I wasn't progressing in my learning. Cathy was a good judge of competency and thus could trust her judgement when she said I was ready to go for my driving test earlier than I had anticipated. Prior to my test, Cathy helped to keep me calm and give me the confidence that I would pass my driving test. End result, Cathy helped me to get my probationary licence on my first go. I would highly recommend Cathy as a driving instructor.

Fantastic experience: Cathy was my instructor. She was very helpful and informative. I took a lesson before my final drive test. She gave me several tips that helped me a lot during my drive test. I also hired the same vehicle and Cathy as instructor during my test. Her presence helped me cool my nerve down. Negative experience: A struggle to get a simple information if you're not native speaking/Australian who's seeking for a drive lesson. Re response from the owner I called today around 2 pm asking for information for for oversea license advice and did not receive useful advise, instead a laugh. So it is very interesting that you have gone through all enquiries today and did not know about this. No I never used your service but I was hoping to get it when I called to enquire. And it was nothing to do with your ability to speaking Thai. I did not expect you to. But I was expecting you would be more understanding re issue above.

Couldn't get Richard as he was on the other side of town, but he was great to speak to on the phone provided some advice and refered us to Joyce for the lessons and getting mum ready for the test.
