Fantastic experience: Just passed my manual driving test yesterday and couldn’t thank Mickey enough. He was able to make the lessons not only instructional and helpful but also very enjoyable and comfortable Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I had manual lessons with ‘MICKEY’ and got my P’s on the very first attempt with no sort of driving experience before! He is such an amazing instructor. I used to look forward to the lesson each weekend as the learning experience with Mickey was so much fun and comfortable. Fantastic experience: Highly recommend to anyone going for their licence, extremely knowledgable and help you prepare for all situations you will come across in the test. I ended up getting 100% on the test and couldn't have done it without my lovely driving instructor.

Negative experience: I just watched one of their learners drive down the inside of b-double through a narrow roundabout. No intervention was taken and no instruction was given to the driver. Instructors like this are why we have so many poor and dangerous drivers on our roads.

I was a nervous learner, especially at the beginning, and had a negative experience with an RACV instructor that made me hesitant about trying to learn again. My instructor helped build my confidence, and I always felt safe and in control. I got my license today at 25

Fantastic experience: I'm a 32 year old woman who for some reason or another never got around to getting my licence. I was determined to learn to drive a manual car. I am so glad to have found Mickey who was an amazing instructor. The first thing that stands out with Mickey is that he's incredibly patient, calm and never gets stressed out. He's always paying attention but also relaxed and approachable. We did practice tests on the actual roads where the real test was going to be. So upon the day of the test I knew exactly what was required and passed with flying colours. Just like many others before me, I couldn't be any more grateful and appreciative of Mickey getting me to where I am.

Fantastic experience: I love this driving school!! In my own reality I thought I was never going to get my license or even pass my driving exam. But, I had lessons to use as a voucher so I used 4 of these lessons from my voucher. Then my amazing instructor Mickey said that I would be ready in July (a massive surprise to me). Then I did a few more lessons with Mickey including 2 practices at Deer Park and miraculously I passed !!! FIRST TIME PASS MANUAL!!! For someone who could barely drive! Mickey is an amazing instructor! He has the perfect balance of giving feedback and being a wonderful friend to the driver. If anyone is intimidated by gaining trait manual license I would go with Mickey! He is amazing there is no better! ❤️❤️❤️

Fantastic experience: I went into this already having some experience with auto driving and wanted to learn manual. As such I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Mickey. This man, this absolute unit, will teach you everything you need to know to blitz a driving test, all the while being cheerful and honest. They must've provided some benefit in exchange for a raving review, but you guys!!!!!!! I swear that these reviews are all genuine solely based on our experience learning with the driving school. This is THE driving school for all you kids in the Newport, Altona, Yarraville, WIlliamstown, or any of the western suburbs in Melbourne. Best part?? They offer both manual AND automatic lessons!!! For all those after manual driving, Mickey is an incredible instructor with 20++ years of teaching experience and he has all the know-hows to ensure that you're feeling confident and calm when going for your driving test. Especially if you're someone with anxiety around driving, not only does he provide encouragement and assurance consistently, he also teaches you skills that help make you a great driver after you've passed the test. (Basically imagine having the coolest dad teaching you how to drive without all the kicks to your self-esteem!!) If you're worried about prices? They are so incredibly reasonable and they would refuse to charge you anymore than you need. There is no doubt that Hobson's Bay driving school is the best in the western suburbs, do yourself a favour and book in a lesson with them ASAP!
