Our comment from DrivingSchools.Directory about Skills to Drive SA:
Expert Instruction by Accredited Professional John Cicchiello
Skills to Drive (SA) offers specialized one-on-one driver training in Adelaide’s inner city Eastern and North Eastern suburbs, led by accredited instructor John Cicchiello. The school focuses on building safe, confident, and capable drivers through a personalized approach that goes beyond simply passing a test. John is widely recognized by students and parents for his professionalism, patience, and ability to tailor his teaching style to individual learning needs, ensuring that every student feels supported throughout their journey from learner to licensed driver.
Outstanding Success Rates and VORT Preparation
The most striking feature of Skills to Drive (SA) is the high success rate of its students, with many users reporting that they passed their Vehicle on Road Test (VORT) on the very first attempt. In fact, several students achieved near-perfect or perfect scores. John’s rigorous preparation ensures that students are not only ready for the test but are also equipped with lifelong driving skills. Whether a student is a complete beginner or an experienced driver looking to convert an international license, John’s methodical approach helps them overcome bad habits and meet South Australian driving standards efficiently.
Comprehensive Support and Clear Communication
Parents and students consistently praise the exceptional communication provided by the school. John provides detailed feedback after every lesson, often including written notes, diagrams, and specific 'homework' tasks to practice between sessions. This transparency allows supervising drivers (often parents) to understand exactly what skills their children need to work on. The booking process is also noted as being straightforward and flexible, with the school accommodating various schedules and locations to fit the learner's needs.
Focus on Confidence and Safety
Beyond technical driving skills, a major highlight of the training is the focus on reducing anxiety and building self-confidence. Many students mention that they were initially nervous or anxious, but John’s calm, reassuring, and encouraging demeanor helps them feel at ease behind the wheel. His 'no-nonsense' yet supportive teaching style ensures that safety is always the top priority, instilling a strong sense of responsibility and defensive driving techniques that serve students well into their future on the roads.
