Fantastic experience: Please don't look for other car instructors. Helen is the VERY BEST in Brisbane! I tried two other instructors before Helen and she is definitely the best. She has so much knowledge, patience, and won't rip you off adding and adding more lessons. The previous instructors I tried before Helen said I needed 10 lessons to be ready for the test and they were teaching me things that were not so relevant for the test. With Helen I did 2 lessons, and a mock test and I was ready for the test! She is very calm and with a really nice nature. It is so enjoyable to have a lesson with her. She finds a way to give you confidence after losing all your confidence with the previous instructors! She knows what the examiners will be looking for and focuses on that. She does not lose a minute during the lessons to give you tips and taking you to different roads that could be challenging. On the day of the test, I cannot stress enough to buy the package she offers, one hour before the test she will go into all the things you are going to be asked to do on the test, so you feel well prepared for the test. I cannot thank you enough Helen. After 10 years living in Australia using public transport and my bike, I can finally say I have a new freedom :)

She built up our daughter's confidence after I had eroded it as a very nervous parent, and she went out of her way to squeeze in an extra lesson after our car died one week before the driving test. Fantastic experience: Helen is one of those one in a million driving instructors that you are relieved you found. My daughter booked her test without organising a driving school car to use. Helen went out of her way with very little notice to give my daughter a bunch of lessons over three days working on her day off and made her car available to use at the booked time. My daughter reported back that she was an exceptional driving instructor, she felt very comfortable and is thrilled to have passed. Helens Learn to Drive was recommended to us by many other local families and was fabulous.

Fantastic experience: My session with Helen was a driving assessment prior to a formal assessment to renew my drivers licence. I found her to be very knowledgeable and reassuring as I drove with her. There were a few things I needed to adjust and I will spend the next couple of weeks working on these. I found her to be very professional and she had a calm manner in communicating with me. I can highly recommend her to any prospective learner drivers.

Fantastic experience: I just passed my second driving test today after a refresher course with Helens learn to drive! I feel so grateful and happy to have undertaken the refresher course package with her. I was able to learn many useful and life saving driving skills that will go beyond just passing the driving test. I recently relocated into Australia and sat for my first driving test a few weeks ago and failed. I therefore, would highly recommend anyone relocating to Brisbane from overseas to first book a refresher course with Helens learn to drive, she is an awesome teacher & very professional!

Fantastic experience: This review was meant to be given 4 months back - but better late than never!! So I met Helen in January for the first time a week before my test. This was a class, Helen, booked me last minute and she was really amazing at accommodating me (her calendar was all booked out for months, and she offered to do a class with me on Sunday). She was calm, supportive , empathetic and funny. A complete combination as a driving instructor. The best thing I liked about her, she was confident on my driving skills and seeing her I knew I could ace this. Next thing was my driving test, a week later, and after one more lesson from her on that day, I passed it with just one minor (passed with flying colours, I hope to say). So guess, my experience says it all. Her passing rate is 100% and when she says so, she does so! Helen, you are a lovely person and I enjoyed our interactions thoroughly. Thank you for believing in me !

Fantastic experience: I am converting from an overseas license so what I looked for from an instructor is one who is very familiar in Toowong CSC. Helen is that and more! Not only that she’s very nurturing towards my safety on the road but she also has great tips on what what will be asked and which routes might be used when I take the exam. I am glad to patronise a woman-owned business. I sure had a great time learning from the business owner herself and not just a contractor. Highly recommended - You will be well taken cared off.

Helen provided regular feedback to me regarding their session and what they could focus on before their next session. Helen is patient, fun and was very responsive to text messages and always accommodated the boys busy school and sports schedule. Fantastic experience: When I had my first lesson with Helen, I had completed my hundred hours and was looking for help with preparing for the test. And as a neurodivergent kid with a history of being really really bad at tests, I was not confident that I was capable of passing. During my lessons with Helen, she completely dissolved that fear. She broke down the different parts of the test in a way that was easy to understand and I passed my first try. Helen is a wonderful teacher and I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t recommend Helen more highly. Having some bad experiences with previous instructors I was a little apprehensive of doing more driving lessons. Then I met Helen. Not only did she make me comfortable and safe, where all I had to worry about was driving, she was a blessing to talk to. Our lessons hardly even felt like lessons. Whilst I felt like I was just in a normal chat about day to day life, Helen was correcting my steering, teaching me how to do U turns, and making sure I didn’t spilt her martini AirPods. For anyone looking for one of the best instructors, Helen is your go to.

Fantastic experience: Been meaning to write a review for ages - I tell everyone to have lessons with Helen so about time I did! I had a few lessons with Helen following a long break from driving after an accident. I truly believed I'd never have the confidence to drive again, and thought I'd need a year minimum of lessons and probably therapy on the side....but Helen managed to provide me with both and get my confidence back after just a handful of lessons! As a new mum to my second baby it's been a game changer for me being able to zip around with the kids and I'm so grateful to Helen for her patience, guidance and humour. Thanks!

But I can also add that she was very good at listening to me and making me feel better when I had questions about the process and how I could help as a parent. Fantastic experience: I wasn’t sure what to expect when I signed on for lessons with Helen, but I was definitely not expecting learning to drive to be such an absolute pleasure. Helen is hilarious, she takes your mind off how uncomfortable you feel which makes it so much easier to learn. Helen is patient and supportive and totally thorough. I got my license first attempt and I feel totally confident driving by myself now.
