Fantastic experience: I had a mock test and a one-hour driving lesson with Omid this Thursday. Omid gave me very helpful information and guidance, and today I passed! What I really appreciated was how calm Omid was while coaching me. I had lessons with another instructor before who made me feel even more nervous and caused me to underperform and feel bad. Fantastic experience: Looking for a professional driving school? look no further... HONESTLY! Whether you are an experienced driver or a learner, Omid has developed a beautiful strategy - his pedagogy includes tech resources and he might even pop up on your children's fyp on TikTok - a legend. The only improvement I would suggest is to have the flexibility to have lessons using the vehicle the students would use on the day of the test but I totally get this could be a limitation of insurance/liability. As an experienced driver, Omid was quite reassuring throughout the sessions, he answered all my questions and provided constructive feedback at all times. I appreciated that he was honest regarding the number of lessons I would need to be ready for my test. Fantastic experience: Omid created a comfortable learning environment by being structured in his process. He works through concepts and topics with the aid of multimedia resources - images, videos, and gifs - making new concepts very clear and manoeuvres like parallel parking simpler than anyone else has made it for me. Omid's instruction is thorough, covering everything from basics to real-world scenarios. Choosing Emu and having Omid as my instructor was the best decision for becoming a confident, safe driver, and passing my driving test! When I couldn't go out and practice driving practically, his YouTube videos were a great resource to get a better understanding of the principles. I wholeheartedly recommend Emu Driving School for an outstanding driving education experience.

Negative experience: I thought long and hard before posting this review and my case may be a one-off but I thought potential students should be aware at the very least. I contacted Emu Driving School due to the high ratings and was looking forward to my mock driving test. For context, I hold an international license and was looking to convert into a QLD license. First off, yes, the instructor was highly knowledgeable and used an iPad and videos to assist with the teaching which I thought was great. However, his teaching style is rather aggressive and blunt. After 30 mins of my first mock test, we pulled over and started analysing my performance to which I discovered several areas for improvement which I agree. What is not okay for me was the tone and delivery of the instructor, he came off way too strong asking questions like 1. How long have you been driving in Australia? To which I answered and got the response 'I'm surpised you haven't got into an accident yet' 2. After my initial driving, he commented 'I don't think I've seen anyone got more NCDE and critical errors like you before' 3. You drive like someone is chasing you'. I did not go over the speed limit, and yes I am open to constructive feedback, but I didn't think it warrant a statement like this. 4. We agreed to do 2 lessons after the initial mock test, and throughout I felt super uncomfortable and did not feel safe due to the constant passive aggressive remarks and tone he used. Perhaps he felt aggravated by the fact that I was using my own car (as I wanted to be as realistic as possible as I'm using my own car for the test) and that he did not feel safe. At the end of the day, you are providing a service to your customers, and I would hope to learn in a safe and friendly environment. For more context, my responses to his guidance has always been polite and I did not fight back at all. I was ready to learn and get constructive feedback on my driving. I hope this is a one-off occurrence and I passed my test first time with flying colors. Yes you were knowledgeable but your delivery and tone were very subpar relatively.

Fantastic experience: I had one class before my driving test and it was amazing, we covered all the critical points and gave me all the correct advices. He has a great learning material in his iPad and show great references of how to do things properly. If you're expecting someone really soft and nursery probably not for you, he is really direct and experienced but if you like the knowledge and thing straight forward he is your guy. Fantastic experience: I wanted to express my gratitude for Omid's valuable driving lessons and instructions during a single session. Actually, I had watched almost all of his YouTube videos, and he generously shared some additional lessons via email, all of which were incredibly useful. I wish I could have had more in-person sessions with him, but fortunately, that one session did the job, and I passed the practical test on my first attempt. During that session, he patiently mentioned noticeable points that proved to be extremely helpful.

Fantastic experience: Omid really helped me learn to drive through multiple lessons across a year. I had previously been learning under another driving school which was I was not benefiting from, so I made the switch to Emu Driving School and noticed differences immediately. First off was the use of an iPad to track my driving ability over time - this was really useful. I also made frequent use of Omid’s YouTube channel which had many videos covering driving tips and exam preparation material. Omid teaches all the required criteria in an understandable manner with visual aid, which is extremely helpful for beginners. Having been taught at Greenslopes, I was also made aware of all the possible routes that the driving test may entail. I was completely prepared for the test and passed without any errors, which I can accredit to Omid’s teaching. Fantastic experience: Having a foreign driver's licence and being a permanent resident of Brisbane, I needed to convert my licence to a QLD open licence. After getting my Learner's drivers licence through TMR prep L, I had to prepare for the practical driving test. After going the Emu driving school youtube videos, I decided to take a mock test to quickly identify my weaknesses and be test ready. Omid did just that. I got effective and immediate feedback and I successfully passed my practical driving test in Zillmere with flying colours in the same week. Fantastic experience: I passed my driving test yesterday on my first try and was the happiest girl alive! Honestly couldn't have done it without Omid's skillful guidance and patience. It was so difficult for me doing away with old (bad) habits driving in my home country, but I can now say I'm confident driving here. I really appreciated his instructing style--a mix of visual aids, youtube videos (these helped so much), and actually explaining why rules are as they are. I've never appreciated road rules as much as I do now. My errors/weaknesses were explained in detail and there were plenty of tips and tricks for safe driving. Can't speak highly enough of Omid. If you're still on the fence about choosing which driving school to go with, or if you have an international license wanting to convert to a QLD one, please do yourself the biggest of favours and go with Emu Driving School. 100% highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I started driving with Tana who was very patient and kind, and taught me all that I needed to know in a very calm manner. Before my test, I did quite a few weeks with Omid as well who ran me through all maneuvers again and took notes on what I struggled with the most so that I was able to target those areas before going in for my test. The maneuvers that are taught have a formula and a step-by-step process so that you can’t really go wrong, and any road rules were taught with consistency, helping me to remember everything each lesson. With both of their knowledge in mind, I passed my test and was extremely comfortable on the road

Fantastic experience: Had a wonderful experience with Omid & Tana from EMU driving school. Having almost 20 years for driving experience in different countries outside Australia, i thought getting Australian license would be walk in the park. Turns out not the case as understanding the local laws, rules, driving terrain and small details are so critical to clear the driving test. Failed my first due to exceeding minor mistake threshold. Hence I decided to take help from a driving school in order to cover all the bases and get the test done. Luckily I landed with EMU driving school. They have all sorts of driving lesson and test packages available at a reasonable price. Booking was fairly easy both online and through call center. had a class initially with Omid. He went through my test report in detail and worked on all the marked issues. That gave me confidence. On test day, booked the test package with Tana and it turned out to be a great decision. An hour session just before test was really helpful. She helped me go through all the maneuvers, explained the nitty gritty of driving test. She escorted me to the test center and stayed there until my test was finished. It was soo nice of her. I booked their driving test package which included use of their car for driving test. Car was in great working condition and really helped me through the test. I am very happy with the result and the support I got from Tana and Omid.

Fantastic experience: I took 2 sessions with Tana. She was an excellent instructor. she was patient enough to give every detail and correct the mistakes. On the test day Tana had an appointment and Omid covered for her. He is very very good and corrected a few of my mistakes in the last minute that helped me to clear the test in 1st attempt. He did the paperwork , came along in to TMR stood beside me through the paperwork.After I cleared the test he was still there for paperwork needed to get the license. You are awesome Omid. Fantastic experience: I booked 3 lessons with Tana over the course of one week prior to my driving test at Greenslopes. Every lesson was incredibly helpful as Tana had pointed out a handful of specific things I was repeatedly doing that may have resulted in failing the test. Fantastic experience: I took a driving lesson with Omid which was an extremely eye-opening driving lesson. He was a professional instructor and friendly enough to walk me through all the details and tips quickly. I should say when you are choosing your driving school, the instructor's experience should play a key role. Omid is experienced and knowledgeable which can give you enough confidence during your practical test. He has also clarified all of my mistakes using sample video clips/slides in his tablet which I found pretty handy. Fantastic experience: i hold a foreign driving licence and needed to convert it to qld driving licence. friends and colleagues advised me to go for a few lessons before taking the test because driving in qld could be different. so i googled for a few driving schools and pick this one out when i saw all the positive reviews. i had tana as my instructor, and she is a very kind and patient lady. i managed to get my head around all the manoeuvres, tips, pitfall, etc after just a few classes with her. the mock exam also helped me understand what i was lacking and needed to take note of during the test. In the end i managed to pass the test at first attempt! glad that i had tana as my instructor. thanks for your guidance tana, i truly appreciate it!

Fantastic experience: I came across Emu Driving School on a yellowpage in 2019 and took a few lessons with Omid to refresh my skills so I can drive on a trip (I have an overseas license but didn't really drive). At that time Omid was incredible already with his professional and systematic approach, not to mention how patient and encouraging he was. So this year when I finally needed to transfer my overseas license to an Australian one and take the road test, I chose to go back to Omid again, and of course it was the right decision. Omid, the instructor-in-chief, is excellent, a true professional! He has an array of tools and ample teaching experience which he employs during and after the driving classes to record your progress; this is important because one tends to forget things that might need work on after an exhausting class of driving lessons. Personally, what I found effective was how he uses his iPad to show you his instructional videos and sketching of images prior to every maneuver/task/tricky situations/parts on the road during your lesson; this poses an excellent visual aid and gives you time to clarify your queries prior to performing the task. This is just one of the things that makes Emu driving school a clear differentiator. Also, Suzuki Swift is the vehicle that one will learn in, which is perfect because learning to drive in a small car helps with developing confidence in car control. Driving as we all know is a life lesson (some of us choose to learn for the joy of driving and others because we need to).. either way it is important to learn it the right way. With Omid, he does just that! For instance, in my case, despite being an experienced overseas driver (USA, Asia and Europe), Omid gave me the chance to unlearn (the bad driving habits that I'd developed over the years) and relearn. Practice after lessons is suggested though. I fully recommend this driving school.
