Fantastic experience: Planning a trip to Australia from Europe also involved getting ready to drive on the left. How different could it be and how to prepare safely for it? Get a driving lesson with Gene! I stayed at Henley Beach and Gene's school was just around the corner. I booked an hour -long lesson only a few days ago. Gene was kind enough to offer a lesson on Saturday and picked me at my home away from home. Then he was super patient with me when I kept signaling with my wipers instead with the indicators (I got better within the hour). The things I expected to be difficult, like roundabouts, were easier than things I didn't expect to be hard, like staying in my lane. I brought a friend along, who was training to be my spotter, and we both received excellent instructions. Now I feel more confident and I'm ready to rent a car. Getting a driving lesson with Gene was a brilliant idea and a best investment I could make to make our vacation safe and enjoyable. Highly recommended for any right-side drivers who feel a bit apprehensive about driving on the left.
