Fantastic experience: Went for a few lessons with Frank and used his car during the drive test in Deer Park. Frank has extensive knowledge of the area, including the usual routes for testing and common mistakes that trip learners up. Everything I was asked to do during the test was covered both in the lessons and in the pre-test session as well, so I felt very well prepared throughout. He is a very experienced and capable instructor - with his help I was able to pass first-try with full marks!

Negative experience: Wasted 45 min. Frank did not teach anything from drive test perspective. I already had my overseas license so I knew driving already. Frank just made me drove around the roundabouts again and again. He wanted me to have 13-15 classes with him. I was very disappointed after the class. Then I searched for another instructor and with just 2 classes and self practice I got my full driving lesson.

Fantastic experience: I can't recommend Frank enough! He's not only down to earth, but he has a way of making driving feel both safe and fun. He teaches you all the tips and tricks needed to pass your test whilst also teaching you easy to follow steps on mastering tricky skills. I had a very little experience in driving before I came here in Australia and it makes it harder to drive in left-hand traffic. Fantastic experience: I started getting lessons from Frank Lee about 6 weeks ago, he is an incredibly honest, transparent, patient and professional instructor. I was quite anxious about taking my drive test and requested many lessons in the lead up to my drive test, however Frank, acted in my own best interest and talked me out of it, saving me hundreds of dollars whilst still allowing me to pass on my first attempt! He was also generous enough to give discounts for lessons that ran under-time and not requesting extra for lessons that ran over-time. Additionally, he provided me with the courtesy of driving me home after the conclusion of our drive test! Frank was quick to correct poor habits and other driver errors of mine in an easy to remember way. For instance, when changing lanes, check the rear view mirror, indicate, check the side view mirror and then headcheck before looking forward to perform the lane change. Or when entering a roundabout, using the "mirror, braking, looking, turning" method. As you can imagine, breaking down these manoeuvres into easily to understand, replicable steps makes it incredibly easy to drive well and focus on getting the fundamentals right like steering, braking, acceleration, awareness, observation and gap selection. Frank also nailed the balance of casualness and professionalism, sometimes we'd make conversation over the F1 or news headlines which would also help me build my multi-tasking skills when driving. But if I made an error, he would be quick to speak up or intervene if necessary and then continue on. All in all, my experience with Frank was incredibly good and I'd strongly recommend him to anyone considering a driving instructor within the area.
