Fantastic experience: I completed my RE course with Mark this morning, which was an absolutely great course to be involved in. Mark comes with a load of practical experience and was able to relate that experience to the environment. He had the ability to make the course enjoyable and a pleasure to ride with. To add to this, the weather had a steady rain all morning, which made riding conditions interesting, but the course was well constructed, planned and relatable for the conditions. This is not my first ride with the Team at Top Rider - Nerang (second), and I would highly recommend their business to my friends and family. FYI - I used their Suzuki V-Strom 650 to complete the course and it was such a comfortable bike for the ride. Pleasingly, they also have a link on their webpage that takes you straight to the Qld Gov - Upgrade your license page, which saved me fumbling around on the Qld Gov page, which demonstrates great foresight from a business. Thanks Mark, I really enjoyed your coaching style!

Fantastic experience: I have just completed the2 day Learner course and would definitely recommend this corse with Mark. Very knowledgeable, friendly and easy to comunicate with and was very accommodating to us that had limited riding experience. Will be booking back in for my RE open licence when its time.

Negative experience: Showed up to the training ground to be stood up, and was told by some of the other tenants that they haven’t showed to the facility in over a week and when contacted, no feedback was received.

Negative experience: DO NOT BOOK YOUR MOTORCYCLE COURSE HERE!!!! I paid online and showed up for the course today..no one is there. There were other riders that showed up and got scammed also. The business next door said it’s been happening for a week now. What a joke!!!

Fantastic experience: I would like to shout out Jamie from TopRider QRide Brisbane, He is a great instructor, He knew I was not ready on my pre -learner and offered me 1 on 1 lesson during weekends. He really knows how to pace individuals learning. He is really friendly and able to break down the drills and skill sets for the assessments. I am looking forward to develop my skills and competency with TopRider for the motorbike journey.

Fantastic experience: I’ve never ridden a motorbike before and was pretty nervous going into the pre learners course. Like any new skill, it’s all about the quality of instruction and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience then I had at Top Rider. Dean was fantastic. Extremely personable and patient, and made sure that I was relaxed and comfortable. That meant I could concentrate on learning how to ride, and by the end of the 2 days after great instruction I felt super comfortable and competent to go out on the open road. I can’t recommend these guys highly enough and I really mean that.

Fantastic experience: Completed the 2 hour learn to ride course with instructor Jamie. As a complete beginner to motorcycle riding, this was an ideal introduction and set me up perfectly for the pre-learners 2 day course. Jamie was patient, knowledgeable and communicated in a way that made it easy for a real beginner. I would recommend the learn to ride for those starting out from scratch. Thank you! Did the 2 day pre-learners course, with Dean as instructor. Dean was excellent! Very knowledgeable, passionate and tailored his feedback and coaching perfectly to his audience. Fantastic experience: I recently did my learner motorcycle licence at the Chandler location with Top rider. Just wanted to leave a comment for anyone thinking about doing a similar course there. It is well worth your time and hard earned cash to do it with this organisation! Dean the instructor was professional, patient and just a top bloke all round. He is truly passionate about motorcycles and more importantly motor cycle safety! Fantastic experience: Outstanding RE course. With the mindset at the start of the day of "can we get through this quickly and get out of here" to the mindset of I can't wait to be back here in 2 years to sit my R course. Mark was top shelf through out the whole day. He made the day super fun and was able to teach our group skills and manoeuvres that make you feel confident and safe on the road. Negative experience: Not what I expected; have been misinformed while registering; was told to forfeit on the day. Full story: Because of the recent road regulation change, I was trying to book a course to upgrade my learner license to Re. My learner was done 5 years ago. First I tried to call RideSmart. I told them that I am very inexperienced. The agent was very clear that I would need to get on a refresher course to get up-speed, they don't want me to waste time and money to jump on to the licence course. Then I also tried to call Top Rider, telling the same thing . No questions asked, no problem and booked me the one day course. (Actually it is a bit more expensive than RideSmart. Even I went on the weekday, no one bother to help me to get the $30 discount they advertised). So today I took the day off and join the course. Everyone else looked quite experience. I don't have much experience with the manual bike; cannot even change the gear properly. The pace was fast, so I panicked. The instructor after 5 min that I shouldn't be here. I tried a little more and figured that it was quite dangerous to push myself. So I took the advice and left. Till this point, I thought it was largely my problem, not prepared, expected to be taught thoroughly, and skipped the refresher course that I shouldn't. Then I got called from the top rider. What they offered is to ask me pay another 250, and spent 3 days to learn from the scratch. Well, I just asked that if I get on this course, am I be able to get the RE license? The answer was no guarantee, it all depends on me, blah blah. What I can foresee is that after I spend more time and money, they can still say I am not fit for it and get me on another course and so on. So I just asked what kind of school it is? What kind of course I am doing? Anyway, the lady was pretty strict, and even saying "I am not your mom, ... you made the discreet decision to join this course .. it is competence based ... if you are not happy, can do business elsewhere." After talking like this, I have no confidence in this place. Last time I tried to took a course, I can at least learn. Even if I cannot pass (which is quite rare), people were helpful so that at least an average person can get through with proper instructions and training. This one is more like a test centre -- you don't even know this? you are not fit, you should go; come to try next time. So pretty much eventually I paid about 300 plus a dayoff to get half an hour of talk and 5 min test ride, and get sent back. Want to get a license? This is not a school; get prepared or you should leave.

Fantastic experience: Very experienced riders/instructors. Had a one on one lesson for 2 hours as id never been on a bike. Jamie was professional and knowledgeable. I followed up with a beginners group class and Sean covered all the topics id need to be competent in to pass the learners assessment. That was fun and relaxed and helped me gain confidence. I was then ready and completed my 2 day learner course. Great experience. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Did my Pre-learners in August 2020 and followed up with my RE open 5 November. The setup is great, bikes regularly maintained and serviced and the instructors have a depth of experience the breeds confidence. Jim especially made the course fun, interesting and educational. Was a hot day which was tiring but in the end was declared competent. Thanks Top Rider - can recommend!

Negative experience: I had a bit of anxiety leading into this course and unfortunately the instructor did minimal to calm my nerves. From stories of how he made grown men cry, to bragging about how most people who come to their RE will fail, he seems to focus on the negatives (almost enjoying this) rather than providing some positive feedback to put the learner at ease. All feedback provided was negative. There was no positive reinforcement feedback at all. This created an environment that was not conductive to my learning experience. What would have been best is to provide some positive recognition of what we are doing (so we can stop thinking about that item) well as well as the corrective feedback, would help put nerves at ease. The instructor would not always give clear instructions on what he wanted, and when you couldn’t read his mind he would provide negative feedback stating what you did was wrong (despite never having explained what he wanted clearly in the first instance - for example stopping between the cones - when I stopped between the cones he came along and said I failed as I didn’t stop before the cones). The fact that He seems to enjoy the stats around how many people he fails for the RE course has made me decide that I will not be completing this next course with Top Rider and will find another provider who has a more understanding approach towards the learner.

Great group of down to earth guys who were happy to help me attain my Learner motorcycle license when I had never even been on a bike before! Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I’ve done my pre learner course and now completed my RE course with top rider aswell as some lesson. The instructors have always been very friendly and helpful. They all have an abundance of knowledge to pass on and are very patient when explaining things. All of the instructors make the course fun and enjoyable. I would highly recommend top rider Australia to anyone who is interested in getting the motorcycle license or just wanting to gain more confidence when riding.

Fantastic experience: Jamie was a fantastic instructor and helped identify some bad habits I had and obviously gave me some great advice on how to ride safer and be more self aware of road positioning. I highly recommend you do the course even if you are an experienced rider to ensure you are always exposed to the latest info, rules and advice.

Fantastic experience: Sean and Don were fantastic instructors. The Pre-Learner course I attended over the 2 days was both professional and informative, but most importantly fun! I went in with some discomfort and nerves, but the structure of the course made it very easy to gain confidence and understand how to ride. It was worth every penny, 11/10 would recommend going here if you're looking for instructor training.

Fantastic experience: I had such an incredible experience with Top Rider. I did the Pre-Learners with Tom on the GC, a one on one and group ride with Jamie in Brisbane and the RE with Jim in Brisbane. All super knowledge and patient guys. It was really great to get a feel for all their different riding styles and gain some riding tips with safety always be the key point of focus. I was always made to feel safe and included, and the entire experience was super fun. Would recommend to everyone!! Fantastic experience: I was very impressed with Jim, the instructor, who presented the class modules in a way that was both useful and interesting, I didn't expect to take much away from this mandatory course but him took the time to show us all individually where we might improve.
