Fantastic experience: So nil riding experience prior, bar some messing about on dirt bikes 40 years ago. Bill at AMA Qride was my instructor for both days, the second undertaken in rainy conditions which gave us a taste of real world riding. He was knowledgeable and professional but friendly, he gave us extra attention and instruction as we didn't all progress at the same pace. Fantastic experience: I took the RE course on Saturday. My Pre learner was done somewhere else but did not like the way it went so I tried AMA and I have no regrets.Did not feel that confident but Mark and everybody there knows how to let you feel relaxed. I appreciated also the free soft drinks,the microwave to heat up my lunch and the fridge to keep it cool…5 stars cause I can’t give more. Nearby there is a Mac Donald’s and a Servo with pie face…4 minutes walk!tor the ones that are into fast food! Don’t look anywhere else and book with AMA

Fantastic experience: I went to this course with zero experience and no idea on how to ride but after the 2 day pre Learner course with Nick, I successfully got my learners and am fairly confident in all the basics on how to ride. It was a fantastic couple of days and 100% will be going back when it's time to get my RE's.

Fantastic experience: This is going to sound like I am laying it on a bit thick, but AMA Qride deserve it. Called Rachael a couple of times. It was shocking, in the best way, to get through right away, have all my questions answered and got the 2hr ride time booking over the phone (Have had my RE since about 1990 but have barely ridden a bike prob since 1990 and didn't want to be locked into a LAMS bike. So this course was perfect and perfectly run). My instructor Nik was exceedingly helpful and professional. He gave me a bit of time on the VTR250 getting used to ridding again before moving onto the CBR600. It felt like way more than two hours. Nik is patient and doesn't just "know" his stuff he really "understands" riding and bike dynamics at every level and he can adjust his explanations when I wasn't getting something to provide a few angles till I "got it". Nik is interested in not just helping you get your license but making you aware of "keeping upright" and being aware of what is around you/where you are going. So a few days latter I did the upgrade from RE to R with Mark as my instructor. A midweek test, so there were just two of us upgrading. I could say it was all "simple", but it was Mark that made everything flow, breaking down any complexities, giving us a chance to get used to the CBR600 (really appropriate bike), correcting our ridding, clearly conveying a huge amount of understanding needed and getting us "competent". Doing courses/license type things sounds "formal", AMA Qride made it a friendly, helpful and fun experience. Thanks Rachael, Nik and Mark.

Fantastic experience: This is a bit late, but 2 years ago i went here. I want to specifically mention Tom as a gun instructor. He can spot every subtle thing you're not doing right. At one point i made a mistake & didn't look in the mirrors before taking off on that little oval course that they set up, as another student was just about to pass me on the left... woops, a bad habit from riding push bikes. I don't know how Tom spotted it while he was talking to the others, but he did & he was not happy. Thanks to that moment I was ingrained with checking what's behind me before I do something... from the moment i got my bike & 35000 kms later.

Fantastic experience: The crew at AMA Q-Ride at Merrimac run a no nonsense course that gets the required instruction and roadcraft material in without any unnecessary time wasting. I had Nick for the 2 day Pre-Learner and couldn't be happier. He knows how to be at one with the machine & builds you a knowledge platform to grow and work on. Fantastic experience: Nick was my instructor - he knew I was not competent for my RE's for the first time so he asked me to come back again. Went again after 2 weeks and he was so good to me. It was just myself so that helped too. Even gave me a preserved snake specimen that he caught. Bloody legend! Can't wait to go again one day for my R licence

Fantastic experience: I really enjoyed it and learned a lot. I never drove a motorcycle in my life and they helped me a lot through the process. Totally recommend it. If I have to add a negative opinion it is the toilet. You have to go to McDonald's toilet, for most of the people it's fine but for me it was a little bit awkward.

Fantastic experience: As a beginner I had to trust in the process and pay attention to all steps required when riding. Mark has definitely helped calm my nerves through the second day and look for to the RE in three months!
