The service section staff were really friendly and very professional. I have had other bikes serviced at Sunstate and I have always found them to be efficient and reliable. Negative experience: EDIT: Their reply is a lie, NO attempts to contact me at all. ZERO stars! DO NOT USE! WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER! POOR WORKMANSHIP, AWFUL SERVICE, AND LIES. Picked up my DRZ after a top-end rebuild and kick-starter install with leaking oil from rocket cover and cylinder, loose clutch / left mirror, loose exhaust connection and abnormal grinding gear sound from right side. They spent about 30-45 minutes while I was waiting, to attempt to fix that, only to have that leak again the next day! Took bike back for to get those issues rectified only to have the bike back in poor condition, stalling at idle, loose nuts and bolts and further oil leaks from side cover, breather hoses on directed onto top of the chain to have them chewed up, and now with a clicking valve sound and smoking engine. The clamp to the intake manifold from carburettor was on by a single thread. The throttle cable was loosened so much that it was nuisance and almost a hazard to operate the bike. After about 2000kms of on-road riding (not trusting the bike to go offroad since these cowboys touched it) it now stalls and the motor is blowing excessive amounts of smoke and uses a lot of oil. (I’ve topped up over 1 litre in these 2000kms) This was the issue I took the bike in the first place, to rebuild the top end including the valve stem seal. There are ample amounts of photographic evidence of these negligent works. Too many issues to list here in great detail, very very poor experience, at one point they were trying to tell me that it was normal to have oil on the outside of the motor, as they “use a lot of oil to put it together” Seriously??? It was clearly LEAKING OIL. This was just one BS from a handful they tried to feed me. Look, I’m no qualified mechanic, however I have worked on all of my bikes all my life and have done repairs very successfully, and I do all my own oil changes brakes chain sprockets countershaft seals clutch plates and carburettor cleans and services and so on… and never had issues. Point is, I’m not an idiot. And I do know how my bike feels, I ride it EVERY DAY as well as I do longer trips like to Birdsville, to The Daintree, to Melbourne, and so on… I have made numerous very polite attempts to try to sort this issue with the owner, however all my attempts were ignored. (posted letter with photos, and four phone calls leaving messages, all done in polite and to the point manner in detail) I will now get my bike fixed with a proper mechanic, then in due course this matter will be referred to QCAT and will demand full compensation for these negligent works and stress caused as well as my time wasted. It is absolutely unacceptable to have a dealership perform such poor quality works that actually causes further damage to one’s motorcycle and potentially creates a hazardous riding condition. (leaking oil, clutch handle comes loose while riding, and all the other loose bolts) My patience is gone with these cowboys, first thing first, I will get my bike working again, then they will pay for ALL the damages they caused.

Negative experience: Very disappointed with the service pricing - paid $400 for the first service on my triumph when others are paying $250 for the exact same thing, I feel very ripped off and when I got the bike back it was so dirty. Never got a call to come and pick it up so I ended up just going in. Won’t be coming here again that’s for sure. Staff who work in the workshop are lovely though this is not in any way directed at them but this is more the management and front desk people.

Negative experience: Extremely poor customer service and integrity - Sunstate Triumph MaroochydoreI recently booked a safety recall for my Triumph Rocket 3R with Sunstate Motorcycles Maroochydore, explicitly confirming during the booking process that I would wait for the duration of the service. I was assured on several occasions this would not be a problem, and was informed the recall work would take approximately one to one and a half hours. Upon arriving on time, I reconfirmed this with the service agent, who again reassured me that the work could be completed while I waited. He even kindly recommended a local café where I could pass the time. I confirmed that he had my contact details to notify me if any issues arose or when the job was finished. After waiting for over three hours, I returned to the service department, only to find that my motorcycle had not even been moved from where I had parked it. Upon inquiring, the service agent revealed that no work had yet commenced on my vehicle. This was particularly frustrating given the prior assurances, and the agent appeared unable to handle the situation. I then raised my concerns with the manager, who informed me that three mechanics were absent that day. While this context is reasonable, at no point was I made aware of any potential delay. The lack of communication and failure to provide upfront transparency – such as informing me of a likely extended wait or offering a loan motorcycle at the beginning – was completely unacceptable. Instead, I was left waiting for over three hours with no action taken, only to be informed of the mechanics' absence after I returned. In speaking with several highly regarded local motorcycle companies, it has become clear that Sunstate Motorcycles Maroochydore has a poor reputation within the community for honesty, integrity, and customer service. Even more concerning, it appears that raising these issues with senior management or even ownership does not result in any meaningful action or concern for how customers feel. Following this experience, I took my motorcycle to Olivers Triumph Motorcycles in Brisbane, where I received excellent service. Their team ensured my motorcycle would be the first on the bench and treated me with the respect and professionalism that Sunstate clearly lacks. In conclusion, I strongly advise against dealing with this company. It is evident from reading many reviews here and elsewhere that my experience is a very common occurrence.

Negative experience: --- **Disappointed with Sunstate Suzuki at Maroochydore** I purchased a brand new Suzuki V-Strom 250 from Sunstate Suzuki at Maroochydore at the end of 2023, and unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory. Less than a year later, the bike already has rust on the body, which is extremely disappointing for a new vehicle. What makes this even worse is the lack of responsibility taken by the dealership. Despite bringing this issue to their attention, they have been unresponsive and unhelpful. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone based on my experience.,

Negative experience: Terrible experience! I gave my Ducati in for a desmo service and got my bike back in very poor condition. The customer service was terrible and unprofessional. I had to take my bike to a different mechanic to get it fixed. I would not recommend this place to anyone!! ******Reply****** Your mechanic snapped a tool in my bike engine, not in your workshop. And no one cared to inform me until I showed up. I'm never coming back!!!.

We haven't received any further communication from you since your last service regarding the issues you had to get 'fixed by another mechanic', and although it may have taken a little longer than expected to carry out your service due to a broken tool in the workshop, the bike left here with no issues. Fantastic experience: Walked in to the shop with a pretty clear idea on what I was after. I spoke to Jesse who took the time to chat with me and get an understanding of what I was looking for, run through some ideas, and ultimately pair me up with the perfect bike. The process from 0 to go was very very smooth and was a team effort between Jesse, Jared, Jacob, and a fellow by the name of Chris who was able to hook me up with an awesome deal on full comprehensive insurance. I can't speak highly enough about the crew down there and absolutely recommend checking them out if you're in the market. A1, 10/10. Thanks again guys.

Fantastic experience: My husband and myself purchased our first ducatis from the guys at sunstate and the customer service was impeccable from sales through tol delivery and everything in between Huge call out to Josh who went above and beyond to not only find us two bikes within two days that usually have long order wait times but also got our bikes delivered within three days total and all during a hectic time at the end of the financial year Kodi was absolutely lovely to deal with and super helpful with accessories and Shane made the paperwork side of things nice and smooth. Also a big thankyou to Darren for bringing the bikes to us on a Friday afternoon and for the very informative run down on our bikes. We couldn’t fault sunstate motorcylces

Negative experience: Hi, bought a new triumph Tiger 900 rally pro. Found 3 things when arrived home. TFT display has horrible blemishes on the screen, front Fork preload badly maladjusted and a bad front end bounce while riding. Had it back 3x re warranty, 11 months later nothing. Worst bike shop experience ever! Not helpful, no update on TFT display replacement. Paid $25450 , most expensive bike I've ever bought with worst warranty issue. Not happy!

Negative experience: Had a temp sensor fault, contacted service via email with video and they confirmed bike is still covered by full factory warrenty, they said bring it in and there will be no charge providing the software “didn’t” need updating. Turns out software is current and they charged me $99 to clear a fault code and test ride the bike. What a joke! If I had of known they were going to charge me I wouldn’t have trailered the bike for over an hour each way and would have just paid my local mechanic to clear the code. I have emailed them questioning these unscrupulous business practices and they have failed to respond. I even purchased 2 shirts from these guys prior to the service dept charging me for something that was supposed to be covered under warrenty, I’ll never return.
Hi alanachracing, On discussion with our service department, you had reported a temp fault and had found wiring that appeared to be incorrectly routed (by another workshop). You also advised us that you had relocated the wiring personally before returning to us. Our service department relocated the wire to the correct position as per the factory setting and the fault cleared. This was not covered by warranty due to evidence of outside interference by non-Ducati technicians.
Fantastic experience: If you're after a good quality bike or PWC, look no further than Sunstate/Prestige. They have it all. Jessie set me up with a beautiful Triumph. Libby organised my finances, and Andy was very helpful in the workshop. A great team that was very helpful and easy to deal with. Thanks guys, I'm having a blast.

Negative experience: COWBOYS!!!! My Honda wasn’t starting after a period in garage. Told me the timing chain had jumped and the valves were gone. Didn’t make sense. Took it across the road and the diagnosed bad fuel and spark plugs. ABSOLUTELY NOT THE TIMING CHAIN OR AND VALVES. Seriously what a joke. They refused to offer apology and wouldn’t refund the invoice. Oh and they offered me $500 for the bike. BEWARE. Absolute COWBOYS. *****UPDATE**** Hi Sunstate - We haven't received any correspondence from our initial email to you regarding this. We sent a follow up email, still no response. It was our hope that we could have sorted this without the need to write a Google review but here we are.... I discussed this with your service manager and they simply didn't accept responsibility nor apologise. We appreciate its a difficult job and sometimes people make mistakes, however the blatant disregard I was offered by your team prompted us to take this further. I sent you a detailed letter regarding this. I have no idea about the credit you suggest as we have not heard from you. Unsure about the statement that you do not service Honda. It is on your website, clearly stating that Sunstate "offer professional servicing for all manufacturers" . Is this an illegal misrepresentation of your business? You have my email addresses. Hi there 'Doris'. Or is it Paul? It's disapponting that this review has been placed after our workshop raised a credit in aim to rectify our error in diagnosis. Unfortunately, even though our mechanics are very good at what they do, this was a case of diagnosing the incorrect issue. Being that we don't even service Honda bikes at Sunstate, I hope you make contact so we can resolve this issue in person.

It was very quick. i worried about the price or what would happen to my bike cuz i don't know much about motorcycles. Fantastic experience: Just purchased a new Vstrom 650 a week ago. Have only done 350 km so far . I find it very easy to ride , very flexible engine. Fantastic experience: I have read some of the reviews, we have bought two bikes and some gear. Our experience was reciprocated from the way we treated the staff, gear sales, the candid and upto date information was appreciated, in bike sales once established what we were looking for, no heavy handedness just opportunity to find what we wanted. Negative experience: Terrible experience went to get my moped fixed under warranty and here I am leaving with a 400$ bill for a service I DID NOT ASK FOR!! Don’t recommend sunstate at all…
Negative experience: Wouldn't deal with again, wouldn't recommend anyone deal with them. Poor personal accountability on the sales teams part. Purchased a used motorcycle from these guys. Bike presents well (due to care taken by it's previous owner). Travelled up from Brisbane to inspect and purchase, paid the full balance on the spot. The salesman made an error, which he should have rectified, however he made his error "my problem" and I had to return to the dealer (a 2hr round trip with traffic) as soon as i got home (I had inexplicably ended up with the workshop keys in my possession). Refused to come to me, or even meet me halfway. I suspect this is because they already had my money. At least the accounts team were efficient.
Negative experience: Very poor customer service. Very happy to sell you things but useless to help with customer issues. Completely mess to give you information and put any effort to help you. Bought a bike that was under warranty and I was advised by one of the team members to take to another dealer that was closer to me, when I received the other dealer report the team of Sunstate refused to check my bike which was assembled by them incorrectly because the other dealer "touched" it. Also I waited 1 week for a answer, tried to call every day and could feel they were avoiding me and when I had the luck to be listened they were helpless. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL.
Fantastic experience: Had ordered 2 motorbikes but had an unexpected serious health issue so was unable to go through with purchase, all the staff were excellent and were only thinking of my wellbeing and refunded the deposit straight away. Will definetly be going back when health improves

Fantastic experience: Being new to road motorcycles, I just purchased a Ducati from Sunstate motorcycles and the whole experience was great. Not only were they not pushy but they also took their time to explain everything about the bike and all of the accessories and options I purchased at the same time including helmet, jacket, boots, gloves and cover. 5 stars alone due to great customer service, recommendations and prices to match. I would highly recommend Sunstate to anyone.
Negative experience: My husband took his bike to Sunstate for a service and Tyers cost Around $2000 when he hot the bike home he noticed the subframe was broken in 2 places that was not like that when he took it there. Advised by email a complaint and wanted to know what had happened That was 3 weeks ago still no answer won't be going there again this is very unprofessional damage to his bike while there and they didn't bother to answer his vomplaint .

Fantastic experience: Picked up a new Street Triple R from Sunstate M/Cs yesterday. The whole buying experience was excellent. First off they gave me the best price and time line. Next they delivered on time and kept me informed of what was happening. The bike was immaculately prepared and they ran me through all the electronics and and specifics on the bike. Negative experience: At first these guys seemed friendly and genuine but they have turned out to be typical dodgy salespeople. I paid a deposit for a motorbike that they couldn't get and was promised a refund, but it's 2 months on and I'm still waiting. I have phoned and emailed a number of times but have not had the courtesy of a reply. I'm presuming they're just trying to keep my money despite not being able to provide any product. I'd highly recommend Yamaha up the road as an alternative.

Fantastic experience: When looking for a new bike and making enquiries with multiple bike shops, I chose Sunstate MC Sunshine Coast for the purchase of my new CF Moto 450SR, due to the great service provided to me by Jesse. I live in Brisbane and was willing to travel over 100 kms so I could deal with Jesse. He was so enthusiastic about the bike and kept in contact to keep me informed. Thank you so much Jesse, you made all the difference. And Greg in finance was awesome too.

Negative experience: I bought a CMF 600 hunt. The machine is actually ok but the service straight from the beginning was terrible. from sales to service. Probably the worst service department I have had to deal with.
Fantastic experience: Massive thanks to Jesse! Stopped in to try and find my first bike and he took the time to find the right one for me. He was super helpful throughout the whole process and always replied quickly to any questions I had. Could not recommend him enough.

Negative experience: I brought a new jetski 11 months ago. It will not start. When I called and eventually got through to someone, I was told it would be the end of April before anybody could look at it. When I pushed them, they changed that to 4 weeks time. Totally unsatisfactory considering the Ski has only done 66 hrs. I understand the waiting when just booking in for a service, but a break down under warranty should be a lot faster. I am paying a private mechanic to fix now and will be done in two days. Parking and assistance at Sunstate is virtually non existent. If I ran my business like this, I would be out of work.

Negative experience: Bought a 300cc scooter from these guys. Wow what a joke. Brand new scooter that came with paint scratches. They get you to sign the paperwork before handover so you agree there is nothing wrong with the bike/scooter before you see it. DO NOT DO THIS. Take the paperwork out to your purchase, go over it with the salesperson and then sign the paperwork. I was lucky I saw it and pointed it out to the salesperson. There is NO after sales support, calls don’t get returned and meanwhile your problem still exists. Two month wait to get the 1000km 1st service done.

Negative experience: Don't service your Triumph at Sunstate Maroochydore. Put my Tiger 1050 in at 6000k with a rear brake metal to metal. Been riding 50 years, former police cyclist and instructor. Never ran out a rear brake - ever. Refused warranty claim. Cruise control fails to activate - did not fault find the problem and sent me away without verbally advising me my stop light was not deactivating. Read the report at home and disconnected the rear brake light connector...brake light out. Funny how brake indication cancels cruise control. Ordered parts a year ago and have heard nothing. Ordered the spares online from Sydney. Taking my bike to Brisbane for service from now on. Triumph service at Sunstate is hopeless.

Negative experience: Had a coolant leak issue with my C109. Told total rubbish about the issue. Even presented falsely removed parts. Told bike ok to ride with no thermostat. Charged me for labour over $300.00. Rode bike home and coolant spewing everywhere. Would never use this workshop again. Took bike elsewhere and now fixed. Said I was lucky not to cook the engine. Your quality of service has dropped over the years. Won’t recommend you.
Fantastic experience: Great experience and communication from Michael at Sunstate.The little scooter was ready to go and the team made the ride away experience as simple as could be.
Negative experience: Every time I see these guys for a service or something done to my motorcycle it comes back with more problems than it started with. They cannot even fill the oil to the level. My motorcycle is only four years old and it is garaged always and washed weekly. The problems only happen after a visit to their service centre. I will never be going back to them because I am not happy with never seeing my pride and joy being cared for the way I want it to be. I would prefer to travel two hours to a place that I know can actually get the job done right without over charging me.
Fantastic experience: Went in today and was looking for some new gloves and a jacket for my bike. Spoke to a super lovely and helpful lady, Lauren. I knew what i wanted but was quite indecisive about it and Lauren with it being only her second week of working there completely understood my needs and was able to help me find exactly what i was looking for and found an amazing price for everything. I’m extremely happy with my purchase and my time there was super enjoyable and friendly, thanks to Lauren. Fantastic experience: I would not go past. Sun state for my repairs and maintenance on my scooter I have been in to ask a question about things that aren’t working and they look at the problem and fix it on the spot. 30 minutes later fixed and no charge. That doesn’t happen. Behind the desk. CALEB Is more than helpful.
