Fantastic experience: I recently passed test in my first attempt... all thanks to Gavin... he prepared me so well in only a few lessons despite me being underconfident. He was familiar with all the probable test routes and trained me well for all the tricky stuff... that worked in my favour during the test. 10/10 would recommend :))

Fantastic experience: Gavin taught my daughter everything she needed to know to pass the test and be a safe driver. He allowed me to come along for the lessons, which helped me support her between lessons.

Negative experience: Recommend ask first about age of manual car and how long since clutch replaced. Car used for lessons was black Mitsubishi more than 12 years old, clutch did not engage until pedal completely lifted. Gavin’s abrupt manner had learner in tears. We cancelled after two of 5 prepaid lessons. Positive note, Gavin gave a refund for the other three prepaid lessons. Changed to well known company with new vehicle. No issues with clutch work

Lyn ...thank you for your comments Replying to your points below 1: The Mitsubishi Lancer is fitted with a hydraulic clutch system connected directly to the engine which normally lasts the life span of the vehicle ...please feel free to contact Mitsubishi to verify. The friction point on the clutch is in the exact same point as when new which is 2 thirds of the way up on the release. Having never driven the car your comments on the clutch have no accuracy. 2: Your daughter was very upset because she could not control the clutch only ever having driven your vehicle....i did my best to help her but the time span between the lessons and a test was not enough for her to learn to drive the manual car with smooth gear changes. Had she been taught by an instructor initially, this process would have been easier for her. 3: The lessons were cancelled because i advised you to do so given she would not be up to the required level before her test date. 4: I was relieved to refund your money because the task you set your daughter was totally unrealistic given she had failed a previous test with another instructor I appreciate your comments but feel as this happened 3 months ago maybe the finer details have become cloudy.

Negative experience: I found Gavin to be extremely rude and highly negative. To the parent and to the driver. Throughout the communication process and on the day of the test. Very unprofessional. I would not recommend him at all.
