Fantastic experience: I completed the 1 day course, it consisted of a few hours of practice followed up by a practical assessment and left the yard with my HR licence. Great friendly staff with excellent knowlege and instruction. Highly recommend to anyone looking to get their lr, mr, hr, hc or mc licence!

Fantastic experience: Recently got my HR licence here and would highly recommend Makene’s to anybody looking to upgrade their licence. The girls in the office were very helpful and friendly. My instructor Lance was excellent and super at his job. The day course was very efficient and convenient, meaning you could sit lessons and the test in the same day. Thanks guys

Everyone I interacted with there were approachable and friendly which was great, my instructor taught me adequately for the assessment, and the truck I drove was in good knick so no issues there. Fantastic experience: Excellent day course today very patient instructors who like a laugh passed first go had a few hiccups but was told where I went wrong and how to correct them with ease thank you so much will be back for my hc next year

Fantastic experience: I finally got round to getting my HR license, Makene’s is the provider recommended through work so that’s where I went. Did the 2 day crash course in Rays Baby and I had Lee as my instructor. The truck was about as analogue as it gets which was actually quite good because just about everything else will be easier to drive now. Lee was fantastic and was refreshingly hard on me which got me up to standard to pass the open class (road ranger) test despite my initial concerns. Would definitely recommend.

Negative experience: Stop training drivers infront of our business. You keep blocking the drive way and access to our business.

Negative experience: Unfortunately I can’t give less than one star. Just a money making business. Don’t trust this business. They lack a sense of how to talk gently to learner drivers. And I’m not the only one who was treated like this, we were six drivers from the same company went for MC class, all of us faced this mistreatment.They force you to pay again and again the extra money. It started with $1560 and we ended up paying around $4000 each.We have more than eight to nine years of heavy driving experience each. Trainers had no respect for learner drivers. We would never ever recommend this business to anyone. “Don’t waste your money here” try somewhere else. Anywhere but not here.

Fantastic experience: I completed my HC course 2 days ago I had BJ the son of Ray teach me for lessons Which went well. He was very stern which made learning fast and direct. Paul was my assessor and beside being a great guy He is very good at his job Keeping you relaxed and focusing on what needed to be done. Every company could use some improvement I think personally Makenes could use some more time on vehicle maintenance as often my lessons were interrupted by fixing things Although this is very understandable as they are being used very frequently and time is limited. All in all the people at Makene’s driving school Gnangara are fantastic and definitely have their best interest in the customer I recommend both BJ and Paul honest and genuine people.

Negative experience: Strongly, I do not recommende to go Makenes's Driving school. Very bad experience from entire team. They have ripped me off and forcing me to pay more and more money. I have paid huge amount of $1300 still not got my license and the lady over the phone so was rude and treat you like slave. She does not have any clue of customer service at all intsed asking for more and more money for lesson so they can continue making more money. Finally, I have said I do not cooperate to pay more so she hand up my phone and asked me to go somewhere else. They know that this one time business and people not going back again so they try to empty your pocke6as much as they can. Also the trainer are expecting you to do during the test which they dont teach you while you are learning. I have lost money for nothing so if you wanna get ripped off go there otherwise go somewhere elese where you can save your time , money and treated well. I have also made complaint to the upper management but they are also same and will ask for more money nothing else. If you wanna go there then go on your own risk. Thanks.

Negative experience: Instructor falls asleep on every single lesson, (if its too early stay home!) Trucks are old and steering has allot of play Assessor seemed very edgy and restless and was wearing sandals lol Where they took me for my lesson was NOT where I did my TEST. My lessons were in quiet backstreets in the early hours of 7am and for my test they waited for me to do at 2:30 (when traffic was bad) it was in peak hour traffic on BUSY roads and they took me to the busiest 2 lane roundabout where you literally have to wait until there are no cars coming from the right (which was never) before you can take off. It took me less than a day to book this test but for some reason when i tried to rebook after i failed they could only fit me in 2 weeks time and “recommended” that i do at least 2 lessons before the test. I feel like they failed me because i did the one day course and they asked me to do more lessons before another test or i would fail.
