Fantastic experience: I'm finally learning to drive manual! I'm Mexican, 30 years old and I've never driven or had a license. I came to Australia 3 years ago and finally decided to take driving lessons ! For years I tried with a class here and there with my brother or my partners but I never had consistency or determination. A Polish friend recommended Emanuel to me and I'm eternally grateful. He's very patient, nice and fun. In addition to learning slowly and calmly we have nice conversations while driving. I’ve had around 15hrs and will definitely get some more Learning with other people hasn't worked for me. I feel pressured and anxious. Emanuel teaches you to drive very safely and develop good habits. If you want to drive I recommend that you start your classes with him now! It’s never to late !

Fantastic experience: Emanuel is a great driving instructor. Even though I am a slower learner, I feel supported and comfortable during my lessons. The prices are very affordable and compared to other driving companies I've been with, Motor Oz has been the best.

He takes his time to explain things and provide alternatives that best fit your driving style. Also great for a chat about food! Would recommend

Fantastic experience: Affordable and professional. Emanuel is truly the best manual driving instructor around. He teaches in a detailed and safe manner, and is a pretty friendly and funny guy. Only had to do my test once! As a side note, he taught me how to make a delicious seafood pasta, so be sure to ask and share different recipes with him. :)

Negative experience: I'm not generally one for low reviews, but with Emannuel's dubious grasp of road laws and especially his non-COVID-safe practises (and refusal to talk like a grownup about either) I feel like I could have benefitted from being warned off this. The lack of receipts too was fairly annoying, though honestly I would have let everything slide until the dismissiveness of health issues.

Fantastic experience: I really enjoyed driving lessons with Emanuel. After a bad experience previously with another instructor, Emanuel is always calm and patient, takes his time to explain road rules and why you do what you do. I passed the exam after about 8-9 lessons with him. Very pleased.

Fantastic experience: I always spend a good time with Emmanuel. He is one of the best instructer that I have ever known. He is really patience and always try to speak with me in order to make me feel more relaxed and comfortable while we are driving. That also make me feel less stressed behind the wheel. Undoubtedly, Emmanuel is a highly recommended instructor for those who are starting the journey of learning to drive.

Negative experience: The first few lessons I had were okay, although we never practiced parallel parking.. and I was often distracted with conversation by Emanuel. I paid for everything in cash including $280 to sit my test, which I later realised I could of done for $40 not in Emanuel’s car. I asked multiple times for a receipt for the payments I made and every time Emanuel got defensive and accused me of being a strange person and that I was the only person asking for a receipt. On my last lesson which I paid extra for he bought it up mid lesson and we ended up having a fight whilst I was driving. Of course I never got a receipt from him and I failed my test. I would not recommend this driving school, extremely unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: Wanted to take a few lessons as I'm not used to driving on the left side. Called him and had my first lesson on the same day. Great guy and fair prices.

Fantastic experience: Among the best priced and relaxed driving lessons you will ever get around inner Melbourne. I went looking for driving instructors near my area and came across Motor Oz Driving school and since they are highly rated - I booked a lesson with Manuel. The lesson itself was very comfortable/relaxed and Manuel, with his 30+ years of coaching experience, provided clear instructions and explanations on how to drive safely and pass Vicroads’ actual driving exam. I booked the actual exam with Manuel and he was there all the way - with him around, although I was a bit nervous, I also felt a certain degree of confidence that I will do good. Well, after an hour of the most nerve-wracking driving exam I have ever gone through, I passed! Thank you Manuel! I hope this review will help others get through to you to gain good driving experience and be able to pass their actual driving exams as well.

Fantastic experience: Learning manual with Emanuel is a real delight! Every single move is explained clearly and precisely, I’ve always felt completely safe when driving with Motor Oz Driving School, even tho I’m learning in the heart of the CBD. Emanuel is obviously a master driver and has complete control over the car, he knows exactly when to give you the space to try on your own and when to chip in with some pointers. Emanuel has a very well balanced teaching method between praise and positive criticism making you feel confident yet aware of the points you need to refine. Fantastic experience: Had my first driving lesson with Joe today, which turned out a very interesting experience! I had zero driving experience and tend to panic in urgent situations... like driving... Somehow Joe convinced me with his houmour and smart tips that driving can be interesting. He was very patient and provided clear instructions, and helped me build up confidence with just one lesson. For anyone who’s a newbee to driving and feeling a bit nervous about it, I strongly recommend Joe! Plus the price is really good!

Fantastic experience: Update* Due to personal reasons I was unable to continue my lessons with Joe throughout the previous year. However I was able to resume the lessons and passed the driving test today. Joe is still the great man and instructor he was when I started. Thank you very much! Just had my first lesson with Joe. Honestly I was very nervous as I've had no prior experience driving before. Joe was very friendly and funny I felt safe quickly as the lesson went on. The instructions were clear and easy to understand.

Fantastic experience: Before choosing Motor oz, I preferred RACV, which is famous, until my friend told me that Motor oz is cheaper and and better. Oh my god, my friend is right. I am lucky to select Motor oz. My instructor Joe is caring, patient and professional. I improved fast in his lessons.

Fantastic experience: I just had my first driving lesson with Mr Jose in Carlton today and it was fantastic. He was very calm, patient and professional. I was very nervous about driving at first but I'm actually looking forward to my next lesson now. In addition, I booked a lesson straight away after calling and didn't have to wait for a call back like other driving schools. The lessons are also reasonably priced so I would definitely recommend Motor Oz Driving School to other learners!

My instructor is: placid, patient, positive and professional; his experience is apparent straightaway, and that makes me feel comfortable in learning, confident,safe and relaxed.
