Fantastic experience: My daughter had a very positive first time driving experience with your instructor Gary. She was quite nervous but Gary put her at ease and her nerves went away quickly. She is now not so nervous for her second lesson with Gary. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: Feedback and Formal Complaint Regarding Driving Lesson on 9/12/2024 - Easy Start Driving School I am writing to provide feedback and express concerns regarding a driving lesson I attended on 9/12/2024 at 10:00 AM with one of your instructors. As a mature-aged driver working toward obtaining my licence, I had clear expectations for the lesson, based on previous positive experiences with another driving school. Unfortunately, my experience with your company did not meet those expectations. Lack of Structure and Educational Value I anticipated a structured, professional lesson focusing on skills essential for everyday driving and the driving test, particularly as I had not had lessons for several months. However, the session resembled a casual drive rather than an instructional lesson. Other than some steering guidance, there was minimal teaching, and the session lacked focus on essential driving competencies. Challenges During the Lesson The lesson included personal conversation initiated by the instructor, which I found distracting as I tried to focus on driving. These conversations turned sensitive as the instructor disclosed information about previous clients from driving lessons. While some rapport-building is understandable, the conversation become inappropriate and often diverted attention from the driving lesson. Additionally, there was physical contact during the lesson, where instructions could have been provided verbally instead. Although consent was sought, the repeated physical guidance felt unnecessary and impacted my overall comfort during the session. Safety Concerns I was also advised to make driving decisions I did not feel were safe, such as overtaking a large vehicle in conditions where visibility was limited. On another occasion, I was advised to rely solely on side mirrors without checking blind spots when pulling out from the curb. These instructions were concerning as they did not align with safe driving practices I have previously learned. Complaint Process and Outcome I raised these concerns with your company on the same day and was informed I would receive a call from the director. Despite following up, I did not receive the promised call and was eventually contacted by a manager the following day. While I appreciate the apology extended on behalf of the company, I felt my concerns were not fully addressed. No refund was offered, and the suggestion to book another lesson with a different instructor did not resolve my dissatisfaction with the overall experience. Conclusion and Recommendations This experience left me feeling unsafe and dissatisfied. I would encourage the company to review its processes, including instructor training and communication during lessons, to ensure students receive professional and effective instruction. I also suggest a review of complaint handling procedures to ensure concerns are addressed promptly and thoroughly. Thank you for considering my feedback. From the moment I signed up, the staff was incredibly welcoming and supportive. My instructor Andrew, was not only knowledgeable but also patient and kind. The lesson was well-structured, allowing me to progress at my own pace while covering all the necessary skills for safe driving. What stood out the most was the personalized attention and genuine commitment to helping me succeed. They truly go above and beyond to ensure their students are well-prepared for the road.
