Negative experience: Feedback and Formal Complaint Regarding Driving Lesson on 9/12/2024 - Easy Start Driving School I am writing to provide feedback and express concerns regarding a driving lesson I attended on 9/12/2024 at 10:00 AM with one of your instructors. As a mature-aged driver working toward obtaining my licence, I had clear expectations for the lesson, based on previous positive experiences with another driving school. Unfortunately, my experience with your company did not meet those expectations. Lack of Structure and Educational Value I anticipated a structured, professional lesson focusing on skills essential for everyday driving and the driving test, particularly as I had not had lessons for several months. However, the session resembled a casual drive rather than an instructional lesson. Other than some steering guidance, there was minimal teaching, and the session lacked focus on essential driving competencies. Challenges During the Lesson The lesson included personal conversation initiated by the instructor, which I found distracting as I tried to focus on driving. These conversations turned sensitive as the instructor disclosed information about previous clients from driving lessons. While some rapport-building is understandable, the conversation become inappropriate and often diverted attention from the driving lesson. Additionally, there was physical contact during the lesson, where instructions could have been provided verbally instead. Although consent was sought, the repeated physical guidance felt unnecessary and impacted my overall comfort during the session. Safety Concerns I was also advised to make driving decisions I did not feel were safe, such as overtaking a large vehicle in conditions where visibility was limited. On another occasion, I was advised to rely solely on side mirrors without checking blind spots when pulling out from the curb. These instructions were concerning as they did not align with safe driving practices I have previously learned. Complaint Process and Outcome I raised these concerns with your company on the same day and was informed I would receive a call from the director. Despite following up, I did not receive the promised call and was eventually contacted by a manager the following day. While I appreciate the apology extended on behalf of the company, I felt my concerns were not fully addressed. No refund was offered, and the suggestion to book another lesson with a different instructor did not resolve my dissatisfaction with the overall experience. Conclusion and Recommendations This experience left me feeling unsafe and dissatisfied. I would encourage the company to review its processes, including instructor training and communication during lessons, to ensure students receive professional and effective instruction. I also suggest a review of complaint handling procedures to ensure concerns are addressed promptly and thoroughly. Thank you for considering my feedback. Fantastic experience: I recently had a LR driving experience with Easy Start Driving School, and I can't recommend them enough. Negative experience: Really bad place. This people are just interested in your money and not in help you to get the licence. There were a problem with the test schedule and i was forced to reschedule so the manager want me to pay $200 dollars again for a service already paid. Really inflexible and upsetting place. Also i dont know if he has no patience to teach properly or hes a racist. Choose another one. In this you’ll waste your money
Dear Francisco, Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. We understand your frustration regarding the scheduling issue you encountered. However, it's important to clarify that the scheduling issue was between you and Queensland Transport, not us. You were sent an invoice by Queensland Transport to pay for the test, with a deadline to secure the booking. On the day of your test, Queensland Transport informed you directly that the test fee had not been paid, resulting in the slot being taken by another. When you booked the Practical Test Package with us, you provided us with the Date & Time of your Test. We couldn't have known that you had not officially booked or paid for the test with Queensland Transport. You went for the Warm-up Lesson with our Instructor before your "scheduled" test time, and the car was available to you during the predetermined time. This means the service that you paid for was provided to you, which is why we asked that you pay the fee if you required this service again. Our intention is always to accommodate our clients to the best of our ability, and we regret any misunderstanding that may have occurred. Regarding your comment about teaching quality and professionalism, we take these matters very seriously. We can assure you that we do not condone any form of discrimination or racism in our establishment. We are committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for all our clients. Fantastic experience: I had previously attempted my Ps test twice before going to EasyStart and I had failed both of them, even with instructors from other companies. After going to EasyStart and spending only 5 hours with Toni, I passed my test, and I have been complimented on my control while driving. Couldn’t recommend this school enough. I’d give 6 stars if it were possible.

Fantastic experience: I have consistently requested Gary to be my instructor because he is gentle, kind, sympathetic, and always punctual. Negative experience: Shocking service!!! Do not pay prior to having a lesson!!! This outfit will not return phone calls!!! Cancel lessons due to the instructors illness yet wont reschedule or reimburse the pre payment!!!

We would like to ascertain as to why our instructor, being a responsible person, cancelled his day so as to keep his clients and others safe as others would have been expected to do. A refund was not requested and the session was rescheduled for the client. In regards to the rescheduled lesson, it is the clients responsibility to have valid and up to date documentation as it is illegal to drive without them. On this occasion the client did not check or update the documents necessary to drive and therefore the session could not proceed. As our instructor arrived at the allotted date and time with no valid or up to date documentation, could not provide the service. A cancellation policy is in place when the service cannot proceed as the instructor could have filled the slot with another client. We welcome the opportunity to discuss your concerns, however we are guided by the fact that the client is responsible for having the correct and valid documents prior to the service beginning, which in this case, was not.
Negative experience: I recently booked a test crucial for my university studies, which cost a whopping $550. Unfortunately, the day before the test, I fell ill and called to inform them that I wouldn't be able to make it. While they confirmed the cancellation of my session, I was shocked to learn that my $550 would not be refunded nor a new booking would be rescheduled and I would have to pay the amount again to schedule a new session. This policy is absolutely appalling and unacceptable. As a struggling university student, it's incredibly disheartening to see such disregard for customers' circumstances. Losing this significant amount of money without even receiving the service is utterly unfair and unreasonable. I strongly advise potential customers to be wary of such a heartless and money-oriented approach.
Hi, thank you for your time in submitting your review and would like to reply to this as we feel your review did not provide enough information and is slightly ambiguous. You had booked a half day course with us a while ago, you paid $545.00 inclusive and cancellation policies would have been explained to you as part of the booking process on the phone. The course booked included 3.5 hours of training and a Queensland Transport Practical Driving Test on the same day, after the training, around 4.5 hours in total. You called on the afternoon of the day before the course and the test and advised us that you did not feel well, you were told then that this would be treated as a forfeit. We cannot have cancelled the test as Queensland Transport requires 48 hours notice. Our instructor could and would not have been able to resell the cancelled slots at such short notice. It seems a little unfair for the instructor to have his schedule disrupted and from my understanding, you feel that he should not have been paid. Much as I understand the frustration this decision has caused you, however, we believe the decision was, on this occasion, correct. We are happy to discuss this further if you feel it necessary.

Fantastic experience: I am happy with the services they provide, I got training from Toni and she is an absolute fantastic trainer. I got my open license in first attempt just because of great lessons from Toni. She is a bit strict but that is what we need when we want to get license, her instructions, words, suggestions keep reminding me during my real test what should I be taken care of. Fantastic experience: I had a few lessons with Danielle towards the end of my 100 hours after having no lessons for 10 months, she was really awesome and both helped me touch-up and catch up on my driving, she had a really fair mentality on it that I appreciated, didn’t go too hard on you but not too easy either, if you made a mistake she made sure you knew how to correct it in the future.

Negative experience: If i could put zero i would!!! Two separate price list. So if you pay with afterpay you get a surcharge. Which im sure is illegal!!! I would not recommend this service for any age group. Liars and thrives.

Negative experience: Very disappointed we booked a package for our daughter and because she didn’t use them within a year the lesson got taken away from her. We were not told when we purchasing the package about this. Otherwise we would have used them is this even legal?

Fantastic experience: Extremely happy with their services...completely professional. No mess ups from start to finish. Great coaching and advice the whole time and from the perspective of safety...they are on top of it. Plus right next door to the Dept. Of transport makes it so much easier. Nailed the test confidently the tips prior certainly helped, plus taking me through the actual route for the test. Will mention that the office does their part by providing support and friendly Great company.

Negative experience: Easy start driving school are an absolute joke they have a free lesson deal but it’s only aimed at kids with supervision you can’t be a mature aged person to learn how to drive apparently how pathetic. Way over priced $78 compared to most driving schools being $75. Doesn’t even deserve a star avoid this school

Fantastic experience: Miss Toni was amazing, she did what I could not and taught my daughter how to drive. Toni did all the hard (scary) work with Sofia and taught her how to drive safely and correctly so then all I had to do was practice with her and get her hours up. Sofia passed her driving test first go and I feel comfortable with her driving on her own

Fantastic experience: Before I started taking lessons I use to be so anxious to even drive. But once I started it’s been making me more confident with each lesson. Greg is an excellent teacher and compliments my strengths and weaknesses when driving. He has made such a fear of mine become easy to conquer.
