Fantastic experience: I thank Marlis for all the lessons I've had. I have learnt a great deal and I am enjoying every lesson. Negative experience: I had a terrible experience with Marlis. Please do not book with her, I was gifted a package of lessons and unfortunately had to go through hours of sighing, yelling, hard breaking me in unnecessary situations and constant bullying. After finding out she had taught me an outdated driving practice she argued with the service NSW staff to say she was right (she wasn’t). I wish I could give this review 0 stars. Parents do not do this to your children Worst instructor on the Northern Beaches.

Negative experience: i wish i could give 0 stars because honestly, she was the absolute worst driving instructor i've ever had. i only chose her because of her almost 5-star rating but it definitely does NOT reflect her professionalism with teaching. she humiliated me and if i got anything wrong, i received instant criticism. not feedback, but just yelling, eye rolls, and scoffs. i HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND HER TO ANYBODY. she even had the audacity to ask for payment in cash?! also notice how the reviews with the least stars have the most likes? says a lot.

Fantastic experience: Marlis is a great driving instructor, she was very patient with me and helped me gain confidence behind the wheel. She provides good instructions and is happy to demonstrate how to perform different maneuvers which I found very helpful. I would recommend Marlis for anyone who is learning how to drive!

Negative experience: I truly have no idea how there are so many positive reviews of this instructor online. Marlis was rude, aggressive and made me feel very, very uncomfortable. She was in all regards terrible.

Fantastic experience: Marlis is an amazing driving instructor and she really helped me become more confident in my driving and get my Ps! She is very kind and has a great sense of humour so I felt relaxed driving with her and she gives really clear instructions and helpful tips, and her fantastic local knowledge meant she was able to show me some potential routes my examiner would take me on which made me a lot calmer during the test. Thank you Marlis!

Negative experience: Worst experience having Marlis as an instructor. Be ware she will demoralise your confidence driving in every way. I ended my lesson with less confidence than before I started. She is confusing and controlling. As you can see from past reviews she does not take criticism too well and is on the defence side of her reputation. Use at your own risk.

Fantastic experience: Marlis is extremely helpful, her lessons are well structured, practical and she taught me good habits and driving skills. She is friendly and kind but also makes sure to correct any errors. Marlis was very helpful with improving my manual driving and building confidence.

Fantastic experience: Marlis is a great driving instructor. I would really recommend her. Both my daughter and very recently my son, passed their manual driving tests first time. Marlis is very patient, explains clearly and wants you to be the best driver you can be. She made both of them feel comfortable straight away. I have one more to go so will be calling her again when my third can learn to drive! Thanks so much Marlis.

Fantastic experience: Marlis is an excellent driving instructor and is very patient and helps me overcome many fears that I have on the road. She slowly goes through all the steps I need to become more confident on the road and I am now a very confident driver. As well as being so kind and caring she makes sure to teach me everything I need to know for my P-plater test and Im very grateful to have her as my driving instructor. 11/10 would recommend to all of my friends needing instructors!! :)

Fantastic experience: Marlis is a fantastic driving instructor who has many years of experience, and is highly professional. She taught my mum (around 26 years ago) and brother how to drive, both of whom passed their driving test, getting their P’s first go, and she is currently teaching me. I find her teaching to be thorough and patient, which has made me a confident, safe, and competent driver, and her honesty and tips have helped me greatly with my driving. Marlis is such a kind person and quality driving instructor; I am very grateful for her, and would highly recommend Marlis to any future learners.

Negative experience: Marlis definately does not suit everyone, didn't suit me. She would audibly sigh and shake her head when I did something she didn't approve of, brake and steer for me way too much. Her instructions were a lot to remember as well. I would leave feeling less confident than when I started her lesson. If you are not a confident driver, do not go with Marlis but if you are looking to brush up on NSW driving standards she is very knowledgeable and can help you.

Fantastic experience: Marlis what can Rhys and i say but blody brilliant work well done and thank you sooooo much for your experience and help in breaking all those little bad habbits that my son was picking up from me. Without your help he would strugle to pass but you helped him get his P plates FIRST GO at a notoriously hard test that not many people get on their first go. PS tatiana take a teaspoon of cement in ya coffe and harden up champ

Negative experience: Canceled on me the day before lesson and did not try and accomodate other times that worked for me. Doesn’t make it easy to find another instructor last minute!

Negative experience: Marlis caused me a mental breakdown, because she was constantly yelling and pulling the wheel. I cried on a road. I banned her phone number after 2 sessions, found another instructor and happily passed my exam with no problem.

I have been driving for years in an automatic and it has come time for me to learn how to drive manual. I couldn’t ask for someone more capable to teach me the ways of the manual car. Fantastic experience: Marlis is an excellent driving instructor with great experience. 22 years ago Marlis instructed my mum, 4 years ago she instructed my sister, and these past few weeks she instructed me and all of us passed first go due to her helpful tips and great knowledge about driving. After my 6 lessons, Marlis had fully prepared me for each aspect of the test and during the test I constantly heard exactly what Marlis would tell me to do, in my head, as she is very thorough. I would highly recommend Marlis to any future learner drivers.

Fantastic experience: Over 5 lessons with Marlis she taught me the ins and outs of what you need to know for taking your driving test. She was strict on instruction and very helpful. She has a lot of knowledge of the road rules and she took me to the streets where I would do my test to become more familiar with the route. She assisted me to pass my test first go and was even nearby when I took my test so popped into the RTA to congratulate me once I had passed. She is thorough and I would definitely recommend her to drivers who are learning from scratch or need confidence in their driving.

Positive experience: Marlis was a great, however, strict driving instructor. I personally gained a lot of skills during my 10 driving lessons especially because I was driving a manual car. What I enjoyed the most was practicing the test courses as it prepared me a lot for my drivers test. Sadly she forgot about one of our lessons.
