Upgraded my licence and had Ian as my driver trainer-how refreshing it was to have someone showing you the ropes who lives and breathes the industry, not just doing a ‘job’, the industry knowledge Ian has is second to none and shows in his passion bringing through the younger drivers. A rare breed out there nowadays, felt like I spent the day with an old mate, wish there was more like you running up and down the highway these days! Sat my test with Jamie as my driving instructor, never in my life have I felt so calm and assured going into any test, the instructions were clearly worded well enough in advanced, and the way they were delivered made it that much more calmer and easier to focus on what mattered and getting it right, thanks again to both these instructors and everyone else at Burleigh Driver Trainer, looking forward to my next licence upgrade with you team. Jo and Molly were patient with all my questions, insightful about my options, informative about the process, and made me feel comfortable and valued from the moment they answered the phone. My personal driving teacher, Ian, embodied all of the desired skills of a trainer. He was friendly, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. Nothing was too hard for him. He made me feel comfortable and confident from the outset. My assessor, Jamie, was also patient, easygoing, caring and intelligent. I have no background in trucks nor would ever have the capability of driving a truck but Tyson really helped me excel in my knowledge and driving with his assistance. He was very patience and didn't yell at any mistake I made throughout my span of training. I forgot to take a photo of my completion of my HR license... lol, but I couldn't of done it without you all! I went from never driving a truck to obtaining a HR crash box type licence. Henry is amazing. And my assessor, I think his name was ian, he was really good to sit with during testing.

My Trainer Mac was excellent at explaining all the aspects of how to use the Roadranger gearbox. She was very patient and informative in her teachings and made me feel comfortable and not to nervous. Would definitely recommend this company if you are looking for any training they provide. 5 Stars.

Fantastic experience: The school & instructors were very patient, detailed and highly experienced. My instructor was very through in her instructions with me, as I had problems with some of the routine inspection checklist requirements. The training course, training routes, were very challenging, yet not as stressful as it could have been or as I anticipated them to be. I was fortunate to have Mac, as my instructor. Mac was patient, and at times had a funny humor. However, it was always business first, attention to detail, and corrective action afterwards. If I didn’t get a task, or messed up on a routine inspection, or wasn’t shifting correctly. She would make me repeat it till I got it right. That’s above and beyond duty for me. I must confess, that I was apprehensive on taking this class. Thank God for Mac, because I would have failed my course miserably without her Thank you, Mac, your one in a million.
