Fantastic experience: Upgraded from C Licence to HR Licence. I wasn't sure what to expect coming up to the day of the course. The guys at Ellis Driving School were very welcoming and encouraging. Paul my trainer made sure I was ready for the assessment. Was willing to discuss and go over what I could do to be a better driver. Despite the nerves, by the time I did the assessment with Kan, I felt confident and was able to pass. Thanks to Paul and the staff of Ellis Truck Driving School.

Negative experience: I am a learner driver with no driving experience, I took the HC course with Paul. It was really a bad experience. I the roundabouts I did not do properly. He got angry and used a derogatory language like 'You are scared like a rat'. I feel like he did not explain me properly and then he got angry. It means He is not a good trainer like he think He is.

Fantastic experience: Decided to pursue my HR licence and after an internet search, settled with Paul at Ellis Driving School. There were cheaper alternatives, however after speaking to Paul on the phone about training etc, it was a no brainer. The day itself was really good. Paul is a very good listener and supportive person with many hints and tips. To do your 1 hour assessment later in the day with an independent assessor and receive feedback like "Brad that was a really nice drive, thank you. I couldn't fault you for anything, well done". That statement tells me Paul is extremely good at what he does. Well done Paul, appreciate your training and support!

Negative experience: Paul was very abusive he would forcibly grab my hand when I made a mistake changing gears and would pin my hands to the steering wheel and force me to pull over, he would also pin my hand to the gear stick and squeeze down if he didn't like the way I was holding the gear knob. He would then proceed to tell me I'm not learning anything and wasting his time so he was going to stay silent instead of teaching. He would constantly call me unprofessional and belittle me and question my ability telling me he doesn't believe I can drive a manual car. To make matters worse he was constantly on the phone which was a distraction, if he wasn't talking on the phone he was on Snapchat.

Negative experience: This guy is so rude he yells at you for asking simple questions and just because he thinks he knows everything about driving everyone else should too. I do not recommend anyone to go through this driving school .

Negative experience: This guy is a absolute joke he swears at his students for asking simple questions. His cockiness is absurd I do not recommend this guy didn’t even show the test route what a buffoon. Teaches badly on purpose to ensure he gets money out students failure

Fantastic experience: I recommend Paul and Ellis driving school without a doubt. It is a must if you are going for your commercial license in the Sydney area. I was nervous and anxious about learning the non-sychro gear box. Paul has a great teaching system that gave me the confidence to pass the test and become a confident driver in the same day. I can't thank him enough for his help and will return to upgrade my license.

Negative experience: This place is fully bullshit. They told to be at their place at certain time.. When I got there no one there and they don't even answer your fone call either. It's just a waste of my time. I planned the day for driving for nothing but full of bullshit.

Fantastic experience: Good trainer, cooperative, patient with nice comfortable trucks. Talks business over the phone during training though which can distract his supervision, Paul I hope you can avoid doing that. And thanks again for the training.

Fantastic experience: Did a one day course for HR constant mesh/road ranger. Was taught all the basics (changing gears at the right rpm while double clutching and rev matching double clutching down gearing). To make the most out of Paul you have to be consistent with your questions and ask where/what you're doing wrong, as he is silently observing most of the time. I'm satisfied with my one day course, i passed with flying colours. I wouldn't have if i didn't ask questions though. Overall I'd rate Ellis Driving School 4/5.

Negative experience: Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere. I had the worst day of my life with him PAUL KUHN Chinese instructor (KEEP AWAY) His a smart ass. He gets frustrated easily and is so negative. I got quoted $1760 to $2200 for a 2 day HR double cluthc license (everyone recomended 2 days) PAUL (know it all) said his superior 20 year experience would get me through. He charged me $1200 for 9 hours. in the morning told me we finish at 3;30 instead of 5 because the assesor was not booked in, more bullshit He shoved a paper im my face with basic instructions and let me drive. He would constantly be on his phone. He met up with a friend for 5 min in my lesson. Very unprofessional. As your driving he offers no support, no advice. He spent the whole day telling me what im thinking. So please dont use ELLIS (Paul Kuhn) It sounded like an Australian business, its anything but professional. PLEASE KEEP AWAY I
