Fantastic experience: Absolutely incredible service from ease of application through to test day. Today was challenging for a HR license test with rain and sometimes heavy, however, the on point training session was Next Level!! Direct, clear, informative and Calming!! Even though today (for me) in those conditions was really testing my ability to control the truck safely and that's when in my head I had instructions of just 'slow down and negotiate what's ahead and take your time, safety is paramount'. Fantastic experience: Completed my Road Ranger training and test earlier in the year with Shift and can highly recommend them. The office staff were a pleasure to deal with, and bookings were very easy. My trainer was Brett, a very capable and obviously highly experienced trainer and driver. I was most definitely not a natural and made quite a few mistakes along the way, but with his admirable patience, and ability to analyse and debrief each lesson we moved forward to my passing the test easily at the first attempt. Fantastic experience: After trying twice to get my licence with another company and hating the experience so much… i called Shift Training after a friend suggested .. he had used them and was really happy with them so i gave them a call. They put me with Brett and i did 4 hours one day and then another 4 hrs on another day then my test and PASSED!!! I was so happy im a 61 year old woman and i got my HR thanks to Brett and Shift training. Highly Recommend !! Ten out of ten !!! The truck was also great and easy to drive. I learnt so much from Brett he is a fantastic trainer.

Fantastic experience: These guys are legends from the office ladies to my trainer Brett, they managed to book me in early than their next available booking which was a month from when I ring up, First day of training I walked in with absolutely zero idea and I mean never been in a truck never touched or driven a road ranger truck before and after couple hours in the truck with Brett, I walk out with every single information i need on how to driver a road ranger, The man himself Brett is the whole package you need, patience, knowledge, experience, calmness you name it he's got it, It was worth it, paying the three day course and now I'm an unrestricted Hr licence holder Highly recommend these guys 5 ⭐

Negative experience: I did my hr license with Shift and Ross was my instructor, and it was a fantastic experience. So when it became time to upgrade my license to MC road ranger, there was no question that I would go with Shift. Stuart, the owner, is semi retired, and his son is taking over, however , the company has completely changed and not for the better. I picked to do the big rigs deal, it’s for drivers upgrading from HR condition B to MC road ranger for $2700 plus $450 for the road ranger assessment. The odd thing is Shift required a $500 deposit which is standard, however then they demanded the $2650 to be paid promptly, or I lose my deposit. I asked but there are months until my appointment and I asked if I could pay on the day before I started the training, and I was told no they want my money. I got in the truck with Brett, and he instantly started running me down and began telling me I need to pay more money. I told him if it doesn’t stop, I will get out of the truck and leave. Brett told me that if I needed more lessons on road ranger, I could do the test in an automatic and continue to get road ranger training, and they would upgrade my certificate. They only showed me how to line up the trailers to reverse on the final day of training once you know how to line up the trailers and where to look reversing is easy but if they don’t show you this fundamental thing you will not be able to do it. I wonder why they show you that on the last day? I feel it’s to upsell and for them to make money. So I foolishly took his advice, they got another $600 out of me and passed the test. I have been told that I need to pay again and get retested for road ranger, which I paid for already. At no stage was I told that was incorrect. Be very careful of the upselling in this company. I’m very disappointed and will report this scam.

Fantastic experience: Woah, were do I even start…. Brett, I can not thank you enough for the overwhelming support and dedication you have put into me throughout this whole experience. From someone who is a very soft soul with high anxiety in stressful situations, you were everything and more I needed to come out the other side. The level of patience, your calm demeanour and constant faith in me is unmatched. From the very beginning when I sat in that drivers seat Brett built a strong and trusting relationship with myself and my confidence in driving a HR road ranger truck. To say the least Brett knew I could do it well and truly before I believed it myself. Unfortunately the nerves and the sickening feeling in my stomach not once but twice on test day got the better of me… not once did I feel a sense of disappointment or resentment from Brett. If anything I had such disappointment in myself. The time and attention Brett put into me as the driver from beginning to end. Never did I want to let him down. The encouragement and trust he had in me, he gave me the confidence to keep my head up and dust my knees. Third time came around and I absolutely killed it. The excitement and joy I felt to know that all the hard work and tears got me to that moment. And I can confidently say, I would have never been able to do it without Brett by my side. “Don’t forget the switch” I definitely didn’t forget the switch this time. Haha I am located in North Brisbane and the 4:30am starts and the extra money I invested in this company was by far my best decision. Absolutely no regrets and a HUGE thank you to Brett and the beautiful receptionist Chanelle.

Fantastic experience: Today, i had my HR licence got it from the first time much thanks for my instructor " Louis" he is been really amazing i would call him professional trainer just gave me 4 hours and that was enough with him to cover everything to get me ready for the exam I would really recommend "Shift" for anyone who looking to get the best result in short time too .

Fantastic experience: I had such a great experience learning from Brett who has a mountain of patience especially for a beginner like myself using a road ranger, while I was missing gears and slamming breaks. Today I passed my HC road ranger test 1st time with minimal prior training except for what I learnt with Brett in 9 hours over a few day (my work sorta threw me in the deep end) Overall I would highly recommend Shift to anyone who wants to learn through actual experience. While I still have much to learn, Brett helped me build up the confidence, understanding and fundamental skills to drive a truck safely.

Fantastic experience: Just attended a Caravan Towing course at Shift Training, Crestmead, Logan city, the best thing I could have ever done for mine and other road users safety. The trainer was a expert in caravan towing-having had a lot of experience travelling around Australia and speaking to other caravan road users about the many things that have gone wrong and spoiled a holiday, due to lack of knowledge. I learnt everything from towing specifics, coupling,caravan loading,inside and outside checks, tyre wheel, fluids, lights, toolbox checks plus in vehicle driving and reversing lessons, do yourself a favour and do this course before you start caravan towing it really is a must to stay safe on the road and know what to do in a emergency, thank you sincerely Shift Training for providing this valuable service

My instructor Ross went above and beyond with his instruction and was just an amazing teacher! I rang driving schools from Toowoomba to Gympie and was told it wouldn't happen for over a month. Fantastic experience: Had the best experience today! I had a 2 hour lesson with Jesse then my MR test. And I passed!! Thank you so much for all your help, patience and helping me stay calm! Definitely recommend going though Shift training for you licence!

Chenelle in the office also made everything easy by keeping me updated with messages re, classes and times. The trucks used are brilliant, clean and up to date with technology. Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: Needed an HR (manual) licence for new job. Hadn't driven a manual for some years. Neil my instructor was patient, professional, and personable. He brought me up to speed within 4 hours and I passed my driving test 1st time! Worth every cent. Recommended.

Fantastic experience: I have changed career and sought the expertise of Shift Training to get qualified as a Driving Instructor. I was fortunate to have Stu & Brett look after me throughout the duration of my training. I thought I knew a bit. Turns out I had a lot more room to learn new techniques and unlearn bad habits. Fantastic experience: For my first time driving a semi trailer I felt comfortable with Brett. He is very patient, calm and explains things very well. Considering I'm a guy who always arrives early, Brett was always there early, well organised and ready to go. All and all a great experience thank you shift for the experience. Fantastic experience: Absolutely top notch driving school! My instructor was Jesse. Very professional at all times and was a great instructor. I went for my HR open license and it was quite difficult at first but Jesse worked me through everything slowly and in the end I nailed it. He’s straight forward with you which is perfect in such a scenario. Would definitely recommend Shift Training to anyone looking to get or upgrade there license.

Fantastic experience: Did my HR license through Shift, Brett my driver trainer is on point. His approach is fantastic, hi knowledge is second to none. He is friendly but to the point and will push you to make the right moves and help you through the wrong ones. Could not recommend this company and Brett more! Fantastic experience: I went for my HR Licence today with Ross as my instructor, he made me feel at ease with his awesome personality putting my nerves away. Clean truck's to drive and what I learnt today you couldn't of asked for anything else as all areas were covered in the training. Shift Training is a must for your heavy vehicle licence. Fantastic experience: Massive Thank you to Neil and the team at Shift Training. I went for my HR manual license never driven a truck in my life. I did the package with the 4hr lesson/practical test and passed with flying colours. Neil was so patient with me and was really good at helping me break my bad driving habits I picked up over the years. He is really knowledgeable and was awesome at guiding me with different situations I could come across when driving the truck. Fantastic experience: Did my training with John. Started my training during the QLD floods. Had a setback where my assessment was postponed due to the flooding but the guys at shift were great and accommodating. I really recommend these guys and my trainer John was amazing. He was able to ease the nerves but also keep your mind focused. He is also a very handy asparagus farmer.

Fantastic experience: Had Brett as my instructor today and he was the best. I had never driven a truck before today and in the same day was able to get my licence confidently. Would highly recommend shift training for any driving needs.
