Went to Armstrong Truganina for my 2 days learner course but didn’t had pleasant experience there. But stay up right is the best ….Stuff was very friendly and polite… explain the things very well before and after the test…

Fantastic experience: Rodney Thompson is my instructor today and I have to say he is amazing! As a skinny little girl and the bike is more than a double of my weight, I was very nervous and thought I would not be able to control it. But I did it at the end cause Rod is super patient and gives me a lot of faith and encouragement to build my confidence. Thank you Rod for being my instructor today, I’m very lucky to have you in my first class!

Fantastic experience: Can’t recommend enough. First I went to hoppers crossing but I failed in day two test. I was nervous then I booked a practice lesson in ballarat. My instructor was Karl for the practise day. Then I had to do 2nd of MPA.Karl is amazing instructor who is passionate about being Me safe on the Road. I passed my day two. Then after 3 weeks I booked for my RIDER licence exam. He make sure I understood the drill and instructions. I passed. He was amazing person and he gave so much information that will help me to start my riding journey.

Fantastic experience: I have just completed my 2 day MPA learner course at Stay Upright Ballarat. My instructor was Karl for the 2 days, Karl is passionate about being able to deliver a course with clear instructions and advice that in turn makes you feel less stressed, and a bit more confident that you just might pass. I did Pass, with the support of Karl and the team at Ballarat Stay Upright. It was a Fun Experience even during one of Victoria’s coldest days. Thanks Guys. Jodie Howell

Fantastic experience: I have previously completed a group lesson which was a good introduction to riding a motorbike, where I previously had zero experience on a bike. I returned again to complete a private lesson to help me after a shakey first try on the bikes. I had Ryland come to Ballarat from Hoppers Crossing to take me through the basics, and I appreciate his patience and support, to help get me back on track and feel confident about riding again.

Fantastic experience: Excellent facility and super friendly knowledgeable instructors. Ryland was a great instructor helping me with straight forward no nonsense advice and great real world skills. Would definitely recommend getting your licence with stay upright Ballarat!

Fantastic experience: For my Check Ride yesterday I had Trevor in Ballarat who was great all round, patient and professional, didn’t rush us through anything and watched everyone carefully, gave everyone great advice to help us with our riding skills.. look forward to my riding assessment next mth now knowing what I need to work on but also looking at doing a one on one before my assessment to make sure i have that right hand cornering on point.. After my assessment I will be doing the road smart courses to help me improve even more..

Fantastic experience: I have had two experiences with Stay Upright. The two day course with Ross Skilbeck and a lesson with Ryland Robinson. Ross teaches from experience and this is reflected in his attitude and support of the learner riders. Ross encourages and guides the learner riders with constructive comments and feedback. Also very understanding when someone fails their test! Ryland puts the learner at ease by talking from his own experience. He iterates what has already been learned during other sessions and talks encouragingly and supportively to the learner rider. Gives good positive feedback that is constructive and relevant. He puts the rider at ease and clearly explains what is expected, provides opportunity for questions and operates to the high standards that make Stay Upright the only choice when attempting your motorbike learners permit.

Fantastic experience: Firstly would like to thank Ross skillbeck for taking me on my learner course and also check ride! Very informative and great instructor ! Secondly would like to thank Karl kasbach! For taking me on my MPA, great instructor and a chilled approach which helped with the stress level on the day ! Cheers again !

Fantastic experience: Many thanks to the whole Stay Upright Ballarat crew. I had Ross for my learners and Trevor for the Check Ride. Both excellent. Ryland was my MLA instructor/assessor yesterday and he was thorough, professional and courteous throughout. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Coming into my private lessons with Ryland i was very anxious and ready to give up on learning to ride a manual bike, I found it incredibly overwhelming and frustrating. Everything has changed for me since my lessons with Ryland, I feel confident, happy and excited about riding now. He is a brilliant teacher, he scaffolded all the stages of learning into simple steps and was so supportive, funny and kind the whole time. He really helped me to believe in myself. Thank you so much Ryland!!

Fantastic experience: I got my learners at Ballarat on the weekend. Although I have riden all my life in my country, my trainer Steve Jones taught me all about road safety in Australia. Thank you Steve for a great weekend and teaching me new safe riding instructions. I will be back for my next course soon.

Fantastic experience: I did the Headstart course as a bit of a primer and to decide if getting a bike was something I should do. Great instructor, attentive and systematic in his approach. Also drove home what is needed to stay safe on the road. Feeling keen as to get a bike and get my learners sorted!

The knowledgeable and experienced staff are very supportive and explain everything concisely in plain language without resorting to industry terminology. They are patient with raw beginners and experienced enough that they talk on equal terms to long term riders returning to the fold

Fantastic experience: Excellent communication before and during the training and road testing. Very positive constructive training courses plus very detailed instructions during the training and road testing. Great group training environment in class and out on the road, with exchange experiences between riders and final corrections from instructor made huge improvements to the riders. Highly recommended !!!

Fantastic experience: Usual nerves by trying and learning new skills. Needn’t have worried. Ross was enthusiastic and friendly and most of all, patient. I thoroughly enjoyed my two days at Stay Upright, Ballarat. For those thinking that this a young persons game, I’m 50 and couldn’t be happier I signed up. If you are thinking of taking up motorcycling give them a go. My experience was first class. Thanks Ross

Fantastic experience: My journey to gaining my motorcycle license was done through stay upright. I found the instructors to be both knowledgeable and experienced. I have no hesitation or recommending stay upright to anyone wanting to gain their license. Or for those not sure as the have introduction courses as well

Fantastic experience: Leigh is an excellent instructor. Attention to detail without ego or fanfare. Highly recommend

Positive experience: Good Experience for me, their bikes are a little underpowered for general road use but are ideal for on the range and didn't encounter any issues with them either.

Negative experience: Had a generally good experience with Stay Upright. I had training with four different trainers - three were terrific, whereas the fourth would lead me to advise people to stay clear of this organisation on the off chance you get him (he works across all locations). The office staff are great at listening but will stonewall you on any criticism.

Fantastic experience: I went for my motorbike license here. As I was under the old laws I didn't need to do the check ride beforehand, but devided to do it on the day anyway. I didn't realise my front headlight had stopped working, so I needed to use Stay Upright's bike. They were well maintained. The instructor is friendly and knowledgeable and more than happy to answer your questions, and assisted with which replacement light bulb I needed to purchase.
