NAX Motorcycle Rider Training

Fantastic experience: As a rider aiming to pass their P's test, the sessions offered at NAX were incredible for helping me gain confidence with my bike and progress quickly with the required skills (i.e slow speed manoeuvres) that I initially did not feel I was capable of. Throughout all interactions, Daniel was kind, respectful and overall a wonderful trainer. Even prior to booking, he helped tailor my training to my specific needs so that I could get the most out of an in-person session. He was willing to meet closer to my place of residence and even went out of his way to find a suitable empty carpark nearby to me for practice, which I have now been using on my own to continue to practice the skills and techniques he reinforced during the session. During the session Daniel helped introduce these techniques in a way that I could relate to and understand, demonstrating his care for ensuring that riders fully grasp these important skills. Even post-session he continued to reach out to me to give me further advice which was incredibly appreciated. I could not recommend NAX more to anyone looking to build upon their riding skills, especially leading up to the P's test. I feel that even riders who have passed their P's could benefit from the additional time under their belt mastering important skills such as slow-speed manoeuvres, and help target any bad habits that may have been picked up over time.

Fantastic experience: I booked a lesson with Daniel from NAX to go through the MOST test. I’d been practicing parts on my own for a few weeks, but like most people, had developed a couple of bad habits without guidance. Daniel was calm, supportive and had lots of really good tips to set me straight. He also gave me the confidence to upgrade my riding skills from a scooter to a manual. But what I was most impressed with was Daniel’s written feedback the following day, clearly setting out what I needed to work on. So glad I had this session – it was fun, learnt heaps and realise now I probably wasn’t as ready for the test as I thought I was. If you’re about to go for your Ps, definitely book in a session with Daniel!

Fantastic experience: What an experience! Had my first lesson with Daniel last Saturday and to say that it transformed my riding almost immediately would be an understatement. Despite me being late for our lesson (sorry Daniel), he was nothing but kind and understanding. Provided clear direction and guidance throughout the ride, corrections where needed with a caring tone and was super encouraging. Great set-up with the bluetooth speakers and mic so we can communicate through the lesson (my helmet doesn't have cutouts for speakers but Daniel made it work). Finally and most importantly, every ride since my lesson has felt so much better in every way. I've felt so much more competent, calm and alert on the road. I am making better, more informed choices regarding where I’m positioning myself, where I’m stopping at lights etc. I feel as though all of my focus is on the ride rather than on handling my bike. I crashed a couple months ago and that was only a couple months after getting my bike. A huge thanks to Daniel and NAX for helping me gain control and confidence on the road. Fantastic experience: Daniel was really instrumental in helping with my basic skills and advance skills. This gave me much more confidence in riding on my bike, which before the lessons I found myself more akin to fighting it rather than riding it normally. Fantastic experience: I reached out to Daniel after having lessons elsewhere and still feeling far from confident. Upon meeting Daniel, he made me feel instantly at ease, he is so friendly and so obviously passionate about helping each person with their individual riding struggles. Daniel went above and beyond to ensure I understood what he was coaching me to do. It was apparent to me that Daniel wasn't finishing the lesson until I got it irrespective of how long that took. He was so invested in me becoming confident enough to move out of the carpark and onto the road. The instructions he gave regarding slow riding, turning left or right and hill starts were so easy to understand and the amount of practice we did has made me so confident now that I'm riding on the road. After our lessons, Daniel sent follow up emails asking about my practice and helping me with further instructions. He reviewed maps of where I was riding and provided advice about how to take certain turns or traffic hazards. Honestly, if you are a learner or even more advanced and want to work on specific skills, don't bother going anywhere else. Daniel is second to none.

Fantastic experience: Daniel is amazing, I don't think I can find words that can properly do him justice. I had actually had my Learners 12 years ago and came off and was never able to get back on. I was riddled with anxiety (I couldn't even sit on a bike without feeling fear) but I wanted to conquer my fear and finally get my learners again. I saw Daniel before I attended the pre-learners. From the enquiry stage and working out mutually convenient times and places to the lesson, to the follow up, Daniel has been THE MOST professional kindest patient person, even after dropping the bike during the lesson, he didn't judge me or get frustrated, just gave me instruction on where I went wrong and told me to get back on and I was able to. Fantastic experience: Daniel is an amazing trainer, very thorough, extremely patient and just provides an outstanding service. In 1 lesson he had myself and my partner(who had never even started a bike) ready for the pre learners and we passed. The training he provides is a must do to help become more confident and comfortable for new and nervous riders. Fantastic experience: To sum up my experience- brilliant! Daniel’s incredibly patient and knowledgeable- I had had issues with completing the learners and came for some extra training to build up my confidence. To say I was lacking confidence in my abilities as I walked up to the training area was an understatement, but by the end of the training I was cornering in second gear and accelerating out of corners comfortably with the biggest smile on my face. I’m aiming to do another session to cover more skills, having one on one training where you are not rushed or caught in a class with 4 dirt bike riders while you struggle to grasp the basics of throttle control was just perfect. The training is worth every cent and have recommended NAX to friends and family- worth every cent! The dream to get a bike lives on! Thanks again Daniel!

Fantastic experience: I had an excellent experience with my motorcycle trainer, Daniel. As a female beginner on my learners license, Daniel played a crucial role in building my confidence. Fantastic experience: I had a lesson with Daniel recently and it really helped me regain confidence in myself and my bike when cornering. He is very attentive to detail, and adapts the training to suit your learning style. Fantastic experience: I did not have the best experience learning how to ride a motorcycle while getting my Ls and Daniel put me at ease even from the first phone call. Throughout our 1:1 session Daniel was very patient, upbeat and was my cheerleader. Even though I had in the past developed a block on some of the basic skills, he explained things in different ways according to learning style, provided good feedback and most importantly built my confidence back bit by bit with encouragement - even going overtime to ensure we squeeze in everything and turned my very negative association with manual bikes into a positive one. The hired gear and bike were in fantastic condition. I felt supported with the ongoing follow up emails and notes, and the next day went on the road by myself with a rented bike - something I would have not have been able to do without Daniel's expertise and teachings. Looking forward to more practice and getting my Ps once I am ready! If you are after for a coach on riding, look no further, Daniel is you guy!

Was very nervous about taking my Ps but Daniel was great at teaching the course as we'll as self help tips for riding on the road. Fantastic experience: I recently did a Revision for Pre Learners + Advanced session with Daniel and can’t recommend him highly enough. After completing the Pre-Learners course I didn’t feel even close to being ready to get on the road. I booked the lesson not really knowing what to expect , especially as an older (50s) new learner, and was a bit nervous about it. But Daniel quickly made me feel at ease and we worked through a lesson that was really tailored to what I needed to focus on, and which by the end was fun. He is a knowledgeable and patient teacher and a great communicator who has the knack of providing constructive feedback without sounding judgemental – not only during the lesson but also in detailed written feedback afterwards. He even provided ongoing advice about what bikes might suit best and answered questions way beyond what the session covered. There was a lot of value add! After the session I felt confident enough to go ahead and buy my own bike and get out on the road for the first time. Thanks Daniel!

I took a one-on-one revision course with Dan and the improvement and comfort I came away with just in the space of a single morning was surprising and fun. The progression of exercises we went through was the perfect evolution to get you going from baby steps/refreshers to feeling seamless and confident at all speeds. Fantastic experience: I really recommend this instructor(Daniel). I had to do the MOST to transfer my driver's license from overseas but didn't ride a motorcycle for at least 4 years, and with only 90 minutes he was able to help me to pass. Fantastic experience: I messaged Daniel about MOST Training and he was able to fit me in the same afternoon. I was nervous as I was booked to go for my P's in 2 weeks but was really struggling with the cone weaves and U-turns. Daniel was able to give me constructive feedback on what I was doing and what I should change to improve my riding. He was patient, friendly and knowledgeable which helped me relax. Fantastic experience: I had MOST training with Daniel in May 2019. I was very happy with the help and support that Daniel provided. Daniel is a very friendly and knowledgeable trainer. The MOST practice session supported me with all the correct knowledge for the MOST. He was also able to point out some long running mistakes I had during our session, and I was able to learn from this for the better, not only for the MOST, but also in day to day riding. Using the techniques Daniel taught me, I was able to pass my MOST with 0 error points incurred on the day of my test, not only that, but I was one of the only students in the group to score no errors. Fantastic experience: Daniel is a very patient person. He provides very careful observation and critiques of skills in an open and non-threatening manner. Being a rider who does not ride enough and who needed some skills and a boost in confidence fast, he was patient enough to work through my 'areas of improvement' and was very encouraging. I have booked one on one learning sessions as I was very confused and scared from the pre-Learner course that I completed few weeks before and had a very bad Experience with motorcycle accident as a teenager pillion. After only one hour I could've ridden with more control,motivation and less fear. I was so proud of myself choosing the right teacher for that process ! Daniel is a real modest tutor, very patience with high tolerance for everything ,a great rider with lots of experience ,methods and tips! Fantastic experience: I have returned to motorcycling after a very long 'pause', and been to NAX twice now for help in getting back into it. I have been very satisfied with both experiences. Bike Hire: I had done some research on what bike to be buying and (having previously owned an CB250N) was most interested in the LAMS CBR500R. I did not want to make an $8,000 purchase based on just a 5 minute dealer test ride, so went looking for rental options. I stumbled across NAX on-line and was delighted to see that they had a 2016 CBR500R for rent by the day, week or more. I knew that one day would be sufficient so made the booking through Daniel. The whole hiring process was a breeze and very professional, and the bike was in show room condition (as a rental bike, I was frankly expecting it to be slightly beaten up). My one day rental was perfect for me to be confident that this model was the right one for me (which I then bought the following week). MOST Lesson: Despite having a P bike license many years ago, it had lapsed and I had to go through the whole NSW licensing process again. Soon after getting my L license, I had booked in my Provisional Test (MOST). When I saw the test requirements I thought some training would be useful, and recalled seeing when hiring the CBR500R that NAX also did rider training, so I contacted Daniel again for a MOST lesson. This was a one-on-one lesson for an hour on his mock MOST course, and he gave me some very good advice on both how to ride slowly correctly, and what to watch out for during the test (common failure areas). Over the coming weeks, I went away to practice what he had taught me and he also helped me later over email with a few stubborn problems I was still having. I can report that I did my MOST yesterday and passed with 0 points deducted. One other test participant also passed with 0 points deducted, two others scraped through (one right on the maximum allowable 8 points deducted), and two failed (one dropping his bike). So the test was not a walk in the park, but with Daniel's help I was as confident as possible when I showed up on the day. I have seen many earlier reviews of NAX, and I know that I am just echoing the majority sentiment already expressed, but I wanted to write a review of my own to thank Daniel for the great service offered (rental and training). When I am off my P's in one year's time (I can go straight to black) I will surely be contacting Daniel again to rent again some of his bigger bikes - I can't wait... :-) Thanks for a great service Daniel! Positive experience: We hired a three bikes from Daniel. The bikes were delivered to the track and scrutineered already meaning we had an easy time in the morning. Daniel then left a charger (one bike may require it apparently) and some spare fuel (which we didn't need due to the rain reducing our track time). We then completed the paperwork, deposit payment and damage forms as you'd expect. The bikes were in average condition (understandably, they're track bikes!) with one Triumph 675 having a major repair on the front fibreglass. It affected the aesthetics but not performance. We asked about tyre pressures and were told they were all 'road pressures' which should be fine for the tyres. Later we found one of the bikes has 11psi in the rear which was not due to a puncture or valve. After re-filling and missing a session to check there was no leak, my friend had low confidence in the bike so only ended up doing 3 (expensive!) laps all day due to a damp track, and the tyre pressure issue. When comparing track bike hire at Eastern Creek ($400 for a brand new R6), I would go with Eastern Creek hire instead of NAX in future, hence the 3* for value-for-money. The bikes are a little shoddy when compared to other available, and no-one was at the track in case of issue (as we experienced) when compared to other hires that do include a mechanic to be with you. The lower damage deposit is appealing however vs. the $3k deposit for an E/C R6.

Fantastic experience: I rented the cb250 and a helmet/gloves. Daniel went over everything on the bike in extreme detail, every scratch and nuance. I had a great day cruising around Sydney and the bike performed perfectly. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to get on a bike again.

Fantastic experience: Daniel was fantastic in teaching me how to ride and helping me get my Ls. I'm not naturally in sync with the road and pretty short so my confidence wasn't the best but he brought it right up !! After getting VERY PATIENTLY taught by Daniel I passed the test with flying colours and look forward to coming back for some more top of the line training for my Ps!!! He was also very flexible and accommodating time schedules. Recommended Daniel to my friends as well and they adore his selection of bikes and friendly professional services.

Fantastic experience: When you call NAX you will talk to the most customer friendly man in whole of Sydney, Daniel. I was a bit late with ordering a bike, but Daniel and NAX has a lot of nice bikes to offer, so he hooked me up with a very nice, red, Ducati Monster 679 which i enjoyed to the fullest! I have always been a fan of Ducati and its details, but never driven one before, but I must say it was a very fun bike to ride and not to mention all the heads turning when your riding along! One thing I liked the most is the honesty, and no hidden fees of NAX (which I have experienced other places). They also rent out gear which is nice. Thank you so much for the bike rent NAX and Daniel!

Fantastic experience: Just got my license and undecided about what bike and size to get. Hired the LAMS CBR500 and had a great day. Have gear to hire also and Daniel was great help. Good area to start riding around before going further and getting confidence up. Next to grounds and Rocks brewery down the road have a good breakfast.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with NAX Motorbike hire. We were visiting Sydney from the U.S. We had reserved a bike for a given day, but it turned out to be very rainy weather that day. We rescheduled for the next day which was much better weather. Daniel was very nice and accommodating to reschedule and meet us when it was convenient for us at short notice. The bike was in excellent condition. Daniel also provided recommendations and maps for good rides. We had a great ride out to Royal National Park. Thanks a lot for the great service!

Fantastic experience: Excellent bike hire experience with NAX! I had to convert my international rider's licence to NSW's. After nearly 20 years without riding a motorbike, i needed to get some practice before going to the test. Daniel was extremely helpful and professional, he gave me heaps of tips on how to perform at the test, and helped me to chooses the right motorbike. There is a good selection of LAMS bikes available at NAX. The bike and gear are in good condition. I got a red Honda CB125E for my practice and the MOST test. I have successfully passed the test and got my full rider license. I'll definitely go back to rent a motorbike for a weekend trip.

I’ve rented from much larger outfits in the US and Australia, and I’d place NAX as #1 in terms service, general professionalism, and even range of bikes (they may not have the quantity or ‘depth’ of manufacturer choices of larger rental firms, but when it comes to Triumph, Ducati, or BMW they are spot on). The ‘by appointment’ worked perfectly for my pick-up and drop-off, offering much more flexibility than other rental agencies in the market. Fantastic experience: So far I hired multiple different bikes from NAX motorbike hire and they were always in top condition for a weekend full of fun. I never had any issues on the roughly 5000 kilometres that I rode the bikes provided - until last weekend. Far out between Taralga and Goulburn the Ducati Monster started to 'swim' and when I stopped I could see the dilemma - a flat tyre. My friends disappeared at the horizon, flies heckling me and to make it worse, no property close by and zero mobile reception. That was around 3.30pm. One of my friends returned after about 20minutes and I took his bike to ride to a spot with mobile reception. A phone call to Daniel later and a text to specify my location I got confirmation from roadside assistance. Due to a lack of tow trucks at the point in time it took a tyre repair kit, the roadside assistance's compressor and some time to get the bike to Goulburn were we fortunately had booked our accommodation. As soon as we knew that a tow truck is available to take me to Sydney at about 6.30pm Daniel prepared the Street Triple R for me. I eventually arrived In Alexandria on the tow truck around 9pm and rode back to Goulburn. After a nights sleep Sunday was Funday on a new bike. Thank you, Daniel for caring for your customers and making it happen. I will definitely come back for more...

Fantastic experience: As a learner I was wary of committing to something I might not like in the longer term, but needed to get some practice in. Now having been to NAX I'm sorry I didn't start this sooner... There's a good selection of LAMS machines available. Bike and gear was in great condition and clearly well cared for. Importantly, dealing with Daniel was a genuine pleasure from start to finish: nice bloke, straightforward processes, great communication start to finish. I'll definitely be back.

Fantastic experience: I was introduced to this place by a friend, and have rented more than 7 times since then. Daniel was a straight-forward gentleman with each hire, and his knowledge of the bikes was/and is reassuring. I have never had a problem with any vehicle there, and would not hesitate in recommending Daniel and his great fleet to any hirer who loves and respects bikes . As for the unintelligible and ambiguous statement below - most likely either from the competition due to the coincidental and simultaneous review on their site , and / or did not treat the bike with the due respect. Keep up the great work Mr Daniel - and please get a monster 1100!

Negative experience: Rented three bikes. One of them had a flat tyre in the middle of the journey. We called the shop but didn't get any reply. A few hours after I received a call, and the person on the other side seemed a little bit helpless and clueless, like they had never seen that happening. At the end of the day, we were charged extra $220 for repair, bike transport, admin fees and other random things.

Fantastic experience: They also rent out just gear (helmet, jacket and gloves) for fairly cheap. Great place.
