Negative experience: racist place, don't go there. take your appointment from somewhere else.
Positive experience: I recently completed the pre-learner course with Neil. While I passed, I found his teaching style challenging and often discouraging. His comments felt personal, discriminatory, and included uncalled-for negative remarks about accidents and death, which were distressing. His approach was sometimes rude and derogatory, making the environment intimidating. A more considerate and empathetic approach would be more effective, especially for mature learners.
Negative experience: I have been in Australia for 9 months, and this is the first time I have experienced such blatant discrimination. The instructor mocked my accent, claimed they couldn’t understand my English, and removed me from the class. On top of that, they publicly suggested using a translator, which was extremely humiliating. Instructors with this kind of attitude should not be in such positions.
Fantastic experience: I have been riding a motorbike since I was 20 years old and now I am 34.

Fantastic experience: Had both Aron and Ben. They were fantastic and very patient. Both explained the logic and reasoning behind everything we did. Highly recommend them!! Will definitely be coming back to complete the next course when I’m ready for my P’s
Fantastic experience: The trainers here are unbelievably patient and accommodating of all types. Definitely take a water bottle and snacks. There is a water cooler you can refill from. Plenty of parking and you have a dedicated classroom for your training.
Fantastic experience: It's an amazing place to learn with the right teacher that was learning us I wanna thank teacher Paul for his patience . His one the professional teacher and I was lucky to have him , but I couldn't attend the second session because of sickness and I'd if I can still attend for the second lesson. Fantastic experience: best experience. My man “Neil was hilarious and very helpful”. Also the sir general manager helped us to give us more tips and tricks about motorbike safety and efficient use. Not gonna lie this place has really really good instructors. And special thanks to “Neil”, man you are cool and really engaging. You made us laugh while also teaching us really important concepts. Fantastic experience: Tim was the best instructor I had for my Ps test, mostly because he was the only instructor I had for my Ps test that day. But in all seriousness, after attending 3 different stay upright locations, I can say that Tom stands out from the rest. His easygoing approach and sense of humour made the learning easy and the entire experience enjoyable.

Fantastic experience: (Hi I am owen) Very good destination. I was initially highly hesitant and even a little afraid of attending my Pre-Learner's Course in July 2024 given the negative reviews about potential racial prejudice. However, my gosh I was surprised on how friendly the staff were. I had Daniel Low as my Pre-Learner's Instructor, he was absolutely fantastic. Very patient and friendly which overall made the experience even more enjoyable. I didn't even think it was a teaching session, just good old riding around motorcycles. Come now November 5th 2024, Dale Blackmore was my Pre-Provisional Instructor along with my MOST Examiner. Also very fantastic. Overall very similar to Daniel, very friendly and loved his personal anecdotes as valuable life-experiences for officially getting a P-Plate. Ultimately, passed the MOST Test. Good destination!

Fantastic experience: Great Experience. Jean instructed us very well. His focus was purely on technique and making us a better rider than just getting the test done. Extremely friendly, calm and fun to learn with. I cleared my test in the first go.
Fantastic experience: Attended the Pre-Learners course with Dan. He was absolutely incredible, one of the best experiences with training I have ever had. All instructions were clear and we found the sessions not only informative and educational, but not overly intimidating. This was purely to do with the patience and attitude Dan had towards the course. Dan you are the man! and appreciate your efforts with helping us get on the road on two wheels.

Negative experience: Had Alan as an instructor at Clyde on my learner test This is the 2nd time I’ve done the test due to Covid my last licence expired Extremely disappointed as he kicked me out for supposedly going over 25 when I wasn’t even close to it Said he gave me warnings when in fact he did not Extremely rude to other Asian students and yelling at them

Fantastic experience: I had Jim for the P plater course and he is a fantastic instructor give him a raise. Provides clear and detailed instruction and tips to improve on your skill. Has humour and a great attitude towards everyone. If you can request him he's a great bloke to instruct you and take you through the course.

Fantastic experience: Mr.Soon Neo is the go to person, very patience good at teaching and observation… straight forward person, was there for a conversion of Motorcycle license he was the person helped in educating the manoeuvre, rules etc… Downside is for conversion they will give you the motorcycle for 1 practice round that’s all, it’s your talent to pass in the test

Fantastic experience: Ben is a Amazing instructor .. especially for a beginner like me. He taught us the reason why ,the logic with interesting theory.. and then demonstrate the steps ..and let us have a try with lots of patience until we made it ... have to say :he brought the confidence to me when riding motor bike .. compared the other wheel skill training centre near Central Coast . here is more like " learning heaven " .. definitely I will leave the p course here..and hope the instructor is him again !!!

Fantastic experience: Daniel is a kind and good instructor. He’s able to quietly understand and relate to each learner’s level and picks up areas of improvement for each rider even through there are at least 4 in a class. I went from having never sat on a motorbike to confidently switch to second gear in only 7 hours of training. He’s also good with classroom sessions and keeps them interesting. I really would like to thank Daniel for his time and patience in helping me and my 3 other co-trainees complete our pre-learners in one shot. Fantastic experience: I just finished two sessions of pre learners course. we are lucky to have Dean as our instructor. He was very patient with our group and emphasize the value of safety, basics and fundamentals of motorcycle riding . if you are planning to go into motorcycle riding, do yourself a favour and enrol at stay up. well worth it - Fred

Fantastic experience: Had an instructor by the name of Greg. Try and ask for him when you book - highly recommend him. He gives real life examples, very clear instructions, and even preparing you for what you'll be tested on when going for your P's.

Fantastic experience: I had Minh Nguyen as my instructor yesterday and today! He is amazing!!!! You can tell that he’s actually got the passion to teach. He understands that we are all new learners and shows a lot of patience. He’s funny and makes the class very interesting. I’ve done my pre learners before and failed in a different location with a different instructor. I don’t think I would have failed if I had Minh as my instructor!! Fantastic experience: Awesome school for learning to ride a motorcycle, and the overpass even kept us (mostly) out of the rain. Our instructor Dean was super fun and friendly, clearly experienced and had a vested interest in teaching us safe riding techniques. Ill definitely be back for my Ps in a couple of months!

Fantastic experience: I recently completed my riding course to obtain my red P licence at Stay Upright, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Instructor Alan livings was out right rude and a disgrace to the Australian culture.he rejected a friend of mine because of what looked to be personal issues with him. He has no care for teaching about riding and is a power hungry greedy person

Negative experience: Paul was my instructor on the first day of pre learner’s course he was not patient empathetic to the group and he was not very knowledgeable on how to overcome weaknesses of a person that is learning. Paul is not appropriate instructor to teach learners and beginner riders. He does not give support and encouragement during the course. Me and my partner and the group felt in a hurry to learn and expect no wrong and he made me feel stupid by saying in my face “are you sure you want this “ multiple times ! as a learner this will discourage a person and loss confidence. All he wanted was to keep up with the other group and rushing learners to get the task finished. On the other I have totally different experiences in the stay upright Botany. They were great and excellent instructors and would never recommend Stay upright Clyde to anyone.

Negative experience: I had never ridden a motorcycle before, Paul was my instructor. He had no patience at all and was only interested in discouraging you to ride! He made me very nervous and was on a strict time line ! Everything had to be done within a certain time frame! All he kept saying was “it’s not for everyone “ . Zero encouragement and enjoyment . I literally put my head down and got through it!

Positive experience: I am really sorry for leaving a 3 Star review. I am very disappointed that you had to change the timings of a scheduled course in less than 48 hours just because the instructor would not be able to make it. The dates / Course timings are provided on your website for a reason and when people book on a specific date / time, they factor into several things and make sure they are free for the duration of the course. I understand if its something beyond your control, like weather / any incident you can alter the course timings. But just because an Instructor is not able to make it, you cannot have the entire class to change timings just to suit the instructors availability. This should be communicated well in advance, so that we can make necessary changes to attend the course. We all have other important appointments as well and just cannot cancel them at the last minute. There is no point in booking the course one month in advance and then having it cancel in the last minute due to a Instructors availability. As we students needs to strictly abide by the timings, it is also equally important for the Instructor to do the same. I hear some very good reviews / feedback about this center, but these kind of issues make it hard to believe. I hope you take this feedback seriously!

Negative experience: Instructor were fantastic but they messed up in the most important part, i did my course for manual but when they put the result in the system they put it up as Automatic(for scooters). Wasted literally a week explaining everything to the service nsw over and over again. Geez ♂️♂️

Negative experience: I have attended the first day of the course yesterday. We were 5 with 1 instructor. Mixed scooter and motorbike which I believe it would be much better if they were separated. During the course, I fell over. After that the instructor told me I can’t ride today or tomorrow because they have to keep going. I wasn't injured. He told me I have to book the 2 hours remdials. No extra money. It just ruined my day and my plans. Kicking me out of class because I had a fall. It's a pre-learner course, supposed to be for people who never rode a bike. Which was my case. Totally disappointed that I have to wait 2 more weeks for the 2 hour remedial. Maybe you should add on the website that you will kick people out if they have a fall

Negative experience: Everything would be fine except the classes are too big so the teachers can't accomodate for those who need extra help. Even something as simple as stalling the bike because you haven't practiced releasing the clutch is enough for them to remove you from class. Some of us need extra attention rather than removing us from the class and now I'm required to pay the full fee all over again and wait a month and a half. Would not recommend for slow learners. This experience was terrible.

Negative experience: Went for my pre-learner 2 day course a while ago. Didn't leave a review but after going to Stay Upright Loftus (which was amazing), I'm here to tell those reading reviews, just go to Loftus or any other Stay Upright location instead of Clyde. They're way better. Talk to other riders who had the same experience but didn't leave a review either. I assume all the low scoring reviews are the same instructor, so apologies for the instructors there that are amazing. I remember clearly our instructor just doesn't like being there or teaching people. Stuck in their past talking about how much better it was back then. All he did was fear monger instead of boosting confidence. There was another woman in the class who didn't get it first go and he straight up told her she's better off taking a bus. Didn't teach us how to pick up a bike properly when you dropped it or other tips and tricks. He just expected you to get it without him actually teaching. I went home totally discouraged. My boyfriend was so disappointed and had to teach me everything that was missed and thankfully encouraged me to go to a different place for my Ps and boy is the difference night and day. Hope this helps the next person looking to get on a bike. I'm sure not all instructors are bad, but there's clearly a bad egg.

Fantastic experience: Tim a new instructor on Clyde, a instructor with decades of experience, positive, supportive and a really standup guy. Instructor Tim guided me through the MOST Ps course, spoke loud and clear, genuinely took time for his students to understand instructions, gave amazing advice to pass “kiss the mirror to counter steer”. Overall Tim made everyone feel at home, even if I didn’t pass it would’ve been a good memory and somehow loads of fun.

Fantastic experience: I wasn't sure what to expect when I showed up today for my pre-provisional riders course & MOST test. I had a very traumatic experience at HART a few months ago for my Ls and was stressing out about getting my Ps. I had Ted as my instructor/tester today and he was so understanding, chilled and explained everything clearly. Great sense of humour too. Thanks so much Ted, for a stress-free day!!! Having a great instructor really made a difference. People are nervous enough about tests, having a friendly instructor really helps!

Fantastic experience: Ted was an absolutely incredible instructor cannot praise him enough, he’s extremely friendly, cracked jokes all day and made it such a relaxed atmosphere even up to the end of the test. His teaching and advice was great and I’ll remember it everyday I ride because overall he made me a better and safer rider

Fantastic experience: I went to stay up right to do my pre learner course and now that I got my L’s I’m really confident in my ability to ride. And Ben is an amazing instructor and informs you on proper procedures to ride safely and carefully. He’s a super good instructor

Negative experience: Unfortunately had the worst experience day 1 of my pre learners . I had an instructor who clearly didn’t want to be there. He didn’t teach according to the level and was awfully rude when you asked questions. I asked for a different location. My other instructors were really good. I would not recommend coming to the Clyde centre for pre learners .

Fantastic experience: It's a really great place to take training for learners license or provisional ones. The staff are really friendly over there. The entrance is a bit confusing as it is right underneath the motorway. They do have vending machines for sweet snacks and chips. There is motorcycle parking inside the premise but if you are taking a car, you have to park it outside.

Fantastic experience: Did my pre-learner course here over 3 days. I was not successful on the 1st day so was asked to do a remedial session. I completed that and went onto get my learner licence. They aren't just passing everyone, they actually have great instructions that care about you being safe on the road. Important safety tips were very emphasised during the lessons so that we do not get into bad habits and we were explained the best practices from the start. I agree with the other reviews about it being a bit loud being under the JRD underpass however I was able to hear the instructor through my helmet Looking forward to coming back and doing the pre-provisional and MOST tests.

Fantastic experience: Very pleased with Thomas as an instructor last weekend. I've completed the course before, but I didn't feel left behind at any point. He was very patient with my partner who was the only unridden person in the course. Fantastic instructor 10/10

Fantastic experience: Had a very pleasant pre-learner course over the weekend.
