Fantastic experience: Thomas will be the number one choice if you need a professional, careful, and punctual instructor in Kalgoorlie. He was strict and taught me to get rid of bad habits and a lack of safety while driving. He listened to my desires and adjusted to help me become confident in my driving journey and prepare for my PDA test. I passed on the first try, and I wouldn't have been able to do it without Thomas' support.

Negative experience: I only just found this google review section, but did lessons in 2021. He was extremely condescending and made me lose all confidence. He would constantly scold me for my driving ability and then refused to cancel my bookings going forward after I left my lessons crying. I intended to receive lessons on how to parallel park and do some practice tests before going for my PDA but he refused to let me drive further than a block, treating me like a beginner. He continuously pulled the wheel, trying to guide me, but causing me to panic due to the danger of doing so, and not actually correcting what I was doing, or my posture. I would not recommend to anyone as he lacks the patience for a beginner to feel safe in the car. I later switched to another instructor who said I was a good driver, I just lacked confidence, which I likely lost due to the terrible treatment from Golden Stars Driving Academy. I passed my test after taking lessons with this new instructor and have never been in an accident or damaged my car, it has been 2years since I took lessons with this instructor and I believe his off-hand comments were uncalled for and unprofessional. I have noticed most of the positive reviews are from males, or people who never got to the lesson stage, hopefully this isn't reflective of the instructors attitudes towards students and drivers in general.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant service. My instructor was Thomas is very friendly and he had a knack of correcting my driving in a very short time period. He was punctual and patient with me, and managed to have me pass my test in only 4 lessons!

Fantastic experience: Thomas is a fantastic instructor; he teaches you to drive safely and correctly, not just to pass the driving test but for life. He also has a great knowledge of mechanics and educates you on how your driving style affects the lifespan of your vehicle and your wallet. I highly recommend Golden Star Academy for those who want to obtain a C driver's license.

Negative experience: Big scammers...I requested class and rent a car and they told me they cannot help me only if I buy several lessons. Avoid very corrupt people

Very pragmatic, well summarised checklists to prepare you for all situations. Did pass HPT and PDA in first attempt. 5/5 Would book with him again.
