Negative experience: Absolute robbers would not recommend these people to anybody. I gave notification that I may not be able to attend an appointment was charged $750 they call a fine, more like robbery there definitely reasons they are doing training and have got out of the haulage industry.

Dale was great to spend the day with very friendly and professional and gave me all the skills necessary to pass my test first time. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THESE GUYS !!!!!!!!!!

Negative experience: How can it be that my experience differs so much from the other positive reviews? I can only guess that ‘Heavy Vee’ are not too interested in LR training. I must say that I was not impressed with my female instructor’s bullish training methodology. Also, I mentioned to her that the indicators on the bus were self-cancelling in error. I was wanting to learn the skills of LR driving rather than continually fighting erroneous indicators! She informed me that the Dale, business owner, was aware of the fault but as the bus was 30 years old, he was not prepared to spend $1,000 plus to repair it. Not my idea of professionalism. In hindsight I should have pulled off the road and aborted the training session. On reviewing my test results, I note that I would have passed had there been indicators working properly on that bus. I informed the testing officer that there was a problem with the indicators constantly cancelling and assumed that if I correctly indicated, that would be acceptable. I failed the test because I failed to correct the indicators each time they cancelled. At the conclusion of the test, I was advised by my female instructor, that there would not be another opportunity to sit the test until mid-January. I telephoned Janelle, (Heavy Vee office manager), and asked her to book the first opportunity for another test. She advised that she would call me back within two hours. Twenty-four days later I have yet to receive that call. I decided to book a test with the transport department myself and was bemused to learn that there were vacancies in December, in fact a vacancy in three days time. Before Christmas, I took the test in my own vehicle and passed. I would not recommend this company for LR Training.

Fantastic experience: We put some of our boys through a 1 day, and 2 day course. Both passed on their first go. Both boys said Dale was a great instructor and they learned a lot. Whilst from an admin point of view Janelle was also wonderful and extremely helpful. Definitely our new go to when it comes to getting our boys truck licenses. Can't recommend them enough.

Fantastic experience: What a great experience!!! From my initial call with Janelle she explained everything very clearly and was a pleasure to deal with. Meeting Dale and the truck on the day was also a very easy and pleasurable encounter. Dale is a great instructor. Very relaxed, patient and easy to talk to. He is very clear with his instruction and has loads of experience and knowledge. The trucks are in really good condition and easy to drive. I passed my test on the first go and in large part I put this down to the way the guys handled everything form phone call to test. Well done guys keep up the good work. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company and wonderful people.
