Wheel-Skills Rider Training Centre: Reviews
Fantastic experience: I completed both my L’s and P’s with Pat at the Wollongbar Wheel-skills Centre, and I cannot recommend him enough. He is an outstanding instructor — highly supportive, calm, and genuinely hilarious — while taking his craft incredibly seriously. I adore his passion for motorbikes and learned a lot. As a female in an often male-dominated setting, I felt completely comfortable and at ease. Thanks Pat, you’re a legend! :)
Negative experience: Im incredibly disappointed with the experience my partner had at Wheel Skills Motorcycle Training. The instructor was not only unprofessional but outright sexist and belittled her in front of the entire group. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable in any setting, let alone in a learning environment where everyone should feel safe and respected. When she raised her concerns in a letter to the company, they dismissed her, further demonstrating a lack of accountability or care for their customers. I cannot recommend this company to anyone, especially women who deserve a supportive, respectful environment when learning important skills like motorcycle riding. This company needs to take responsibility for their actions and work to create a more inclusive and respectful atmosphere. Until they do, I would advise others to steer clear.
Fantastic experience: Awesome service, clear and efficient. The teachers are on point and experienced. Real talk and training to set you up for success
Negative experience: Poor communication skills. Recommend going elsewhere.
Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Wheel-Skills. As a never rider Ahim went over everything clearly. No question was stupid. I would recommend this even for people who have been riding for years.
Positive experience: If you want to get your L's these are this is the perfect place to go. Our instructor was very good at relaxing you with a bit of a laugh , but was serious when needed. The course was over 2 days, from midday ish to 3:30 pm. You have to wear long pants & either a long sleeved shirt or bring a jacket. Dont be late, or you wont get to do the course. I did a thurs & fri as Saturday's were booked out. First day was learing how to start a bike & mounting & dismounting, how to balance, where to look when riding so you go in the direction you need to be going in. It was all very helpful and interesting to learn. We had one of the team have a bit of a mishap, he was ok, but the bike wasn't. The instructor was very good about it all and was worried about the rider not the bike. Advised why it had happened and got another bike and we were off practising again. It was handled extremely well. The 2nd day i wasn't feeling that great, and I was so nervous i went off the course and failed. I stayed for the rest of the course watching & i get to go back and do it all again for free. Im very happy with that as i knew i wasn't ready to be on the road just yet with other traffic. Oh and the course is around $100. Mark just over. And the person that crashed passed at the end of the 2nd day. Never had a licence of any type before.
Negative experience: Shocking!!! My had a course booked and got Covid the day before which was a Saturday. Tried to contact the centre but couldn't get a response because it was the weekend. Was told need 7 days notice to advise if not attending. I told them he had covid and was told he should have still come but worn a mask - fine if you're not sick as a dog with covid, but obviously not good enough. POOR FORM Wheel Skills - makes NO sense whatsoever.
Fantastic experience: Provisional rider training and assessment was quite involved but also very valuable as a novice. Definitely have taken home some new key points in rider safety and skills for the road. I would recommend this provider of training and assessment for learner and Provisional motorcycle licensing.
Fantastic experience: Myself and two friends took our learner rider course last weekend and we all had such a brilliant weekend, all thanks to Paul our instructor. Paul is a real gem, and was incredibly patient with me which was really needed seeing as it was my first time ever riding a motorbike. Paul was quick to praise everybody when they rode well, he explained every activity thoroughly, and he was punctual both days, from start to finish. We all had a lot of fun, and most importantly we learnt some very vital riding skills. Invaluable. Thanks so much Paul!
Fantastic experience: Best learning
Fantastic experience: Natalie was a fantastic trainer. She was very thorough throughout the course. The Wheelskills staff were very helpful too over the phone.
Fantastic experience: Good place if you want your license. I mean where else do you want to go lol
Fantastic experience: Very professional recommended
