Negative experience: Cancelled the night before for a Saturday lesson and failed to show at all for the Sunday lesson. Whole weekend with the family ruined. Book elsewhere. Won't use again.

Negative experience: Had Ian as my instructor. Was very impatient and rude. Do not book with him if you’re still just starting out. He will expect you to know everything even if you tell him your still fairly new to driving

Negative experience: Worst driving school to deal with. The driving instructor named Elisha, has cancelled and rescheduled bookings 3 times IN A ROW with us, with different excuses every time. She contacts us 5 minutes BEFORE the appointment to reschedule, and says “sorry we will have to reschedule due to *reason*”… We get no notice at all, and then we have to wait another week or so before the appointment again, which gets rescheduled again!!! It’s been a terrible experience. What a joke..

Fantastic experience: I am quite selective who I choose to be my driving instructor because I had a fear of driving plus anxiety. I had Ian as my instructor. Working with him, he help me to build my confidence. I find him to be patient, professional, nonjudgmental, and calm. In my experience with him, he gives clear instructions and he gave me some really useful tips in driving. I am so appreciative of having him as my driving instructor to help me achieve my goal. With his help, my life has changed and opened more doors and opportunities. Thank you Ian, you are the greatest! Also, In-Step Driving School is affordable and I like how I can book my test + care hire through them. I do find sometimes they don't always respond to my email within 24 hours, and sometimes I don't get an sms notification before my lessons.

Fantastic experience: After trying so hard to find a driving instructor who didn't make my phobia of driving WORSE - I finally found In-Step and with Courtney as my instructor was immediately put to ease, she is funny and easygoing which melted my nerves and allowed me to continue driving and get my license! Thanks so much!

Negative experience: My instructor is Ian, very confusing and impatient. Which made me so nervous during the lesson ☹️ not recommend

Fantastic experience: I had Joanne for my lesson's and she was and has been the most incredible instructor throughout this past year. Highly recommend Joanne and her skills, she is just amazing and is so so kind, can’t be thankful enough! :)

Fantastic experience: Went really well with my lessons. Joanne was super nice and lovely to practice with over the year and I appreciate her help a lot! Definitely recommended her to my friends who are starting to drive soon :) she was very understanding and empathetic to my situation and worked around to what makes me feel most comfortable. so thanks instep- I passed my Ps!

Fantastic experience: I gave up twice of driving from two different company but then when I tried instep I was like this is it! I had a great instructor Joanne. She has a lot of patience for me.thank you instep and Joanne

Negative experience: Instructors are not confident with students! Will teach you unless stuff to waste your time and money. I've had multiple teens come to me and tell me how their Instructor caused them horrible anxiety by telling them bad stories of past students or was being rude to the student. This school won't teach you on what you need to learn to past your Ps and will incourage bad driving habits for your child.

Fantastic experience: My instructor was understanding, professional and supportive throughout my lessons and cheered me on when I went for my first Practical Test, which helped me in passing it that day. Thank you In-Step and Joanne.

Fantastic experience: My son, Zayden two months ago got his P1 License. I just wanted to thank Dean and Ian for making this process so much easier and to also let them know how much we appreciate all the effort and support you both put in to help Zayden succeed to reach his goal of achieving his license. Zayden is now competently and confidently driving and learning his way around Townsville and I have them to thank. Thank you for supporting my son and my family and I highly recommend them to anyone who is unsure of which driving school to choose.
