Fantastic experience: Great day! Very informative, friendly and helpful instructors. Highly recommended.

Negative experience: DO NOT PURCHASE A VOUCHER! Due to covid lockdowns and other personal reasons I was unable to use my voucher within the valid period. When I called, the customer service agent had no empathy for the situation and refused to compromise. Essentially this means $385 for absolutely nothing. It's a shame that Driving Solutions are happy to lose a potential future customer for their own short term profit. I would not recommend doing business with a company with this ethos. Before booking, it is perhaps worth considering who's hands you're in should something go awry on the track.

Fantastic experience: My partner did a driving solutions 1/2 track day with instructor on 14/2/24. Her instructor was Ryan Gilroy. The whole day was so professional, friendly & reassuring. I cannot recommend or praise Driving Solutions highly enough. A great bunch of people. We'll be back. 10/10.

Negative experience: Poor Management, Wouldn't return calls nor emails. Take your money elsewhere !!!

Fantastic experience: 4-5 years ago, I attempted my driving test and failed multiple times - to the point where I almost felt hopeless and that driving just wasn't meant for me. I then stopped driving because of the pandemic and to focus on my studies. After graduating from university, I decided to try again. I booked an assessment lesson and met my instructor, Alom, who was very understanding of my situation and immediately tailored the session to my current abilities after the long break in driving. After the session, I felt a lot more confident and he suggested I book a 16-hour intensive driving course. I booked the course, and after about 2 weeks I had been found a test date in a month's time, which was fantastic considering the still-present covid backlog. For my course, I was instructed by Alom again, as I requested him after my assessment. Alom is a really professional and friendly instructor who can effectively balance both a relaxed and stern teaching style when either is required. He will quickly identify and correct bad habits, whilst pushing your limits in a way that assures you have improved in both ability and confidence after each lesson. Alom made sure my ability was ready for the test day, and ensured I had every little advantage in place for success. Because of my history with driving tests, I was still very nervous. Regardless, I passed my test with 4 minors, where most were silly mistakes due to nerves. Overall, I am so glad I booked with driving solutions. The prices are fair, the service is sound, and the instructors are top-tier. Special thanks to Alom.

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience on their driving course. Very professional and friendly bunch. One team member even went above and beyond to help me with a serious issue on my car.

Negative experience: Completely unavoidable car issue which caused cancellation requirement within the 7 day reschedule period. Understand their policy but even offered to pay for additional future sessions upfront to compensate and try to salvage even a portion of my lost payment. Zero empathy, and a completely dismissive response. Terrible service. A good approach to a bad situation would’ve been a opportunity.

Fantastic experience: Went for the advanced driving course. The instructors were great! Very friendly and very knowledgeable. They hit a good balance between talk/theory vs. real driving. They tried to tailor the class somewhat to meet the expectations of people who were there. Overall great experience and i'll be going back for their other courses.

Negative experience: Booked in for a track day, one of the staff was assisting with topping up a tyre and noticed I had bad internal shoulder wear and wouldn't allow the car on track. The receptionist who also indicated they were the key decision maker was not at all interested in rescheduling or offering a credit for another course. "7 day cancellation policy", not willing to discuss further. While it is my responsibility to turn up in a safe car the context is that it was a beginner level track day, and the tyre problem was only evident if you turned the wheels full lock or looked under the car. Who expects a serious alignment problem on a 2yr old performance car ? So 1 star for the courteous guy who found the tyre problem, and 1 star only for their total disinterest in finding a way to provide the service I had paid for. It would have cost them nothing to move me to an alternative lightly booked day.

Fantastic experience: A fantastic night with Driving Solutions on the skidpan. Great instructor(s) who not only provided guidance but made the entire experience fun. A social conscience as well from this organisation, as this night was also in aid of MS Research for the Trish Research Foundation.. Thanks for a great night and you generosity...

Fantastic experience: Great day with James and Cameron with my 4WD course. Had lots of fun and learnt the limits of my Mercedes GLS350d (with off road optional pack). Surprised me what my car can do even though It’s not a ‘typical’ off-roader of choice by most. With James appropriately stopping me from being over enthusiastic with what I wanted to do with my car wading through water. Now I know the manufacturer’s claim of off road prowess with this car does come close to most of the off-roaders with the only exception of wading depth, provided correct all terrain tyres are used. Learnt basic off-road driving skills and the importance of the choice of tyres. Loved the experience. Now I feel more prepared with knowledge to start tackling some basic 4WD tracks with some basic recovery equipment requirements that I learnt from the course. (After I change my tyres)

Negative experience: Wasn’t my experience but my sons . Thought he would greatly benefit from this experience being an advanced driver training course. I should have trained him myself in the local industrial estate . Didn’t get out of second gear , No mention of corner apex’s , trail breaking , throttle application through a corner wet or dry. Just knowing what your abs feels like , a bit of under steering a skid pan ,and a clown on the hand brake. very disappointed

Fantastic experience: I was learning for almost 2 years due to a medical issue I had, however my driving instructor Loc was very professional and understanding, and was supportive to me. They were very good and patient with me, and Loc was firm but fair with learning, and we always had a good chat. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is learning.

Negative experience: I recently booked an advanced driving course with this company. After I paid, i was directed to a registration page and read the terms and conditions. I was seriously concerned by the indemnity clauses. I AM NOT A LAWYER AND YOU SHOULD GET YOUR OWN ADVICE HOWEVER THESE TYPES OF CLAUSES CAN BE DANGEROUS. READ THIS CAREFULLY! The clause: The participant agrees: (a) to indemnify, and keep indemnified and hold harmless the organiser, its officers, trustees, employees, servants and agents from and against any and all claims by any person arising from or as a result of or in connection with their participation in recreational activity, the use of equipment, or the provision of the recreational service including the NEGLIGENCE OF THE ORGANISER THE PROMOTER, ANY OTHER SUPPLIER AND OF THEIR OFFICERS, TRUSTEES EMPLOYEES SERVANTS and agents; and (b) to assume full responsibility for and to indemnify and keep indemnified and hold harmless the organiser, its officers, trustees, employees, servants and agents for any property damage arising from or as a result of or in connection with the recreational service or their participation in the recreational events. In this clause ‘claim’ means and includes any action, cause of action, suit, proceeding, claim, demand, injury, penalty, cost or expense (including legal fees and costs) however arising but does not include a claim made by any person entitled to make a claim under a relevant insurance policy taken out by the organiser”. I read this clause to mean that it exposes "the participant" to a claim even if you had nothing to do with the incident as long as the incident arose because of you simply being at the course and it doesn’t matter who to, or how it happened, as long as they were there involved in some way, because of you being at the course. Such clauses may either void your insurance or you may not be insured. All i asked was that Driving Solutions include a phrase that limited my liability to any act by me rather than the broadness of this clause., which was refused; "our lawyers and insurance broker have advised that we should keep our waiver as written, and don't recommend any changes". They offered me a refund which i immediately accepted. Such indemnity clauses are one of the subject matters in the ACCC unfair contract terms legislation review currently underway. Heads up these can be dangerous clauses that you may not be able to insure for or your insurer may not cover you.

Fantastic experience: Did the Advanced Driver Training course and learnt so much. James and Cameron have the patience of saint's and are both really personable and great to be around. I didn't think I would benefit as much as I did from.the course. The upside of the course is that it is the MOST fun I have ever had whilst learning. A definite must if you want.to be a better driver, a definite must if you want an incredibly fun experience.
