Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Rick at Patience Driving School. I passed my driving test first go and I Couldn't have done it without my lessons with Rick. He is very calm and has great attention to detail as well as heaps of little tips to make the test easier. I feel like a more confident safer driver because of him. Gail was so helpful and managed to fit me in last minute, and Rick arranged coming half an hour earlier so I could get some extra last minute practice, it made all the difference! I will be recommending Patience Driving School to all my friends :)

I’m a big sufferer of anxiety and have been very late in getting my license (I’m in my 30s), Rick helped ease this anxiety after a single lesson. Fantastic experience: Extremely professional service would highly recommend. My partner (Jeral) recently completed 8 driving lessons with Rick, Jeral hadn’t done much driving and was going for his red P’s at 25 without needing his 100hrs experience. After just 8hrs of experience on the road he was able to pass the red P’s test thanks to Rick. Gail was always super helpful and managed to fit Jeral in perfectly to align with when he had booked the test. Jeral appreciated how knowledgeable Rick was whilst still being extremely easy going and friendly, he managed to put his mind at ease knowing they had practiced everything they needed to going into the test.

Fantastic experience: Absolute legends, both Mish and Rick. I got my licence in record time thanks to Mish. I'm 27 and I had only 4 weeks to get my license whilst back in Australia (I live and study overseas full time in Europe). After looking on Google for driving schools in Lismore, I found Patience Plus and immediately I could see they were real deal. I was lucky enough to drive with Mish, who is an absolute legend. Mish is everything I wanted in a teacher and he really personifies the definition of patient and competent. I was really happy to have a guy that's close to my age in the car and I feel like he really understood exactly what I needed and how to get through to me easily. I had some lessons almost 10 years ago with another school but that was not a good experience. Because I have spent almost my entire adult life overseas I've never had a real chance to sit the driving test for my license. When I have come back it's usually only been for a few weeks. This time I wanted to get it done and I had barely a month to prepare. Mish and Rick fit me in around their busy schedule and 5 lessons later from Mish, I passed my driving test at Lismore RMS. This was just 4 days before I fly back to the other side of the world for at least 18 months. I don't believe any other school could have got me there in such a short time. Now I can go back to Europe and drive! Mish and Rick are both amazing teachers. I was even lucky enough to have Rick give me some pointers on one of my lessons. Both of these blokes are calm and completely unintimidating. You get plenty of time each lesson and they know the RMS testers and the routes they take. If you want to get your license, Mish and Rick are the ones to go with. I would honestly recommend them to anyone. I don't think anyone else would have taken me from zero to 95% in such a short period of time. Never underestimate the value of just a few lessons from people who really know how to drive. 11/10 for these guys. Thanks again to both of you!

Fantastic experience: A huge MERCI to Rick thanks to who I got my driver licence after few lessons! Not easy to drive in the other side of the road (I'm french)...but Rick was very patient and clear explaining me the Australian driving rules and he gave me all the tips I needed for the exam. Fantastic experience: Rick is awesome. Because of his lessons I got my Ps first go. I was an anxious mess and being dyslexic I struggled with a lot of the aspects of driving but with 4 or 5 months of lessons with Rick I passed with 98% first go and am a confident driver now.

Fantastic experience: I'm stunned at how much my son learned, and was able to achieve, in a single lesson with Rick. He got his Learners permit 2 days ago and we had only just touched the surface when it came to learning how to use the clutch and brakes (on our own). I originally learned to drive an automatic, so teaching manual from scratch is tricky. In his lesson with Rick he learned: - safe steering techniques (I learned some stuff too) - how to take off without even using the accelerator - how to do a hill start (amazing!) - how to do a u-turn - how and when to change gears - indicating - navigating quiet streets - emergency braking + more I'm a very confident driver but I'm sure it would have taken weeks to help my son reach this level of competence. Highly recommend!!!

Fantastic experience: I had previously taught my two older children to drive but decided with my last child to try something different and had an initial three lessons with Rick at Patience Plus Driving School....oh how I wished I'd done that with the other two! My son came to me with a sound understanding of using the clutch and a whole raft of information to help him to become a competent and safe driver. I was able to immediately allow him to drive me all the time so his hours accrued quickly. We had several more lessons over the year particularly with reversing, parking and using roundabouts. Rick is a kind and patient instructor who really knows his stuff. After my son's driving test the tester knew he had been taught by Rick because of his strong safety skills.
