Fantastic experience: I went to Alert Motorcycle School from barely having any experience on a motorbike (could turn it on and get to first gear), all the way to confidently getting my PDA out of the way! All the instructors were great and very patient. Learned a lot on how to ride safely and confidently. I'll definitely be going back when it's time for my open class license and I'm on the big bikes :)

Fantastic experience: I got my motorbike license with my instructor Rosa. Because I work away and don’t have a lot of time at home, I had booked my first lesson 4 days before my test & although having some motorbike experience off-road, I was totally unprepared & had little knowledge of road craft. Rosa whipped me into shape and managed to get me over the line in that short time that we had before my test. Thanks Rosa you’re a legend!

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience with Alert, can't recommend them enough. They got me in on short notice and helped me over the course of a couple of lessons to get my R class. Fantastic experience: As I wanted to learn to how to ride a motorcycle, I started with a previous instructor that seemed quite pushy and uninterested as I did not possess the necessary skills. I searched for another instructor and came across Alert Motorcycle School as it was local in the Bayswater area, from my initial contact to my first lesson I felt I was in great hands with David and Rosa. Their instructions and methods allowed me to learn all the basics and necessary skills to gain confidence to become a safe rider in all types of road conditions. I would like to thank the team at Alert Motorcycle School, David and Joel, but especially Rosa, her knowledge, patience and professionalism, she stuck by me even after I started to become frustrated in myself due to a couple of failed test attempts, but Rosa believed in me and helped regain the confidence I needed to finally pass my RE test. I would highly recommend Alert Motorcycle School to anyone who is wanting to learn how to ride a motorcycle.

Fantastic experience: I started my lessons without any knowledge or any experience riding before and Alert has helped me get through all the basics and eventually get my R-E licence 8 months later. I did fail 4 times before passing the 5th time but that is totally my issue and they were aware of those mistakes before and they have been helping me work those out and I did but nerves always got in the way in every test. The team has been very patient with me and I was the one frustrated with myself in every fail. They did tell me that I just have to deal with the nerves myself because they believed that I was ready and I think I was anyway. Thank you to the whole team (Polly, Rosa, David and Joel) for sticking with me and being patient. I have been enjoying the ride since January will continue to enjoy it in the coming years, thanks to you. Hope to see the whole team again after 2 years for my R.

Fantastic experience: Rosa, Polly and David are hands down next level above for motorbike training. Supported by Joel, this team is the real deal. I started with other trainers, but decided to explore other alternatives...Sooo glad I did! The other guys are one-man-bands and just go through the motions... Safety is emphasized paramount from minute one. No exceptions. Motorbike handling techniques come next, then road craft, and psychology of riding (and driving) are added. They are all very understanding, patient, and amazingly make every part of every lesson fun :-) By the time the team say "you are ready", you are actually ready to ride alone! Passing the PDA was easy, these guys teach much more than simply passing a test. If you, or a loved one is considering motorcycling, please send them to Alert. That way you know you (or they) are always coming home safe.

Fantastic experience: A great experience and fantastic teaching. I hadn't ridden a bike for 10 years so needed a refresher and confidence boost. Polly is an amazing instructor and I learned more in my first lesson than I did when I got my licence in 2006. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Rosa was absolutely brilliant and patient with a silly old codger that had not ridden a scooter for over 40 years and gave me the confidence in her short period of 2 hours to go again at 67 years old. Fantastic experience: I got my RE and R class licence through Alert more than 10 years ago and, at the time, was impressed by both the instructors and professionalism. After not riding for 7 years I decided to get back in the saddle and, as the bike I bought was bigger than I had ever ridden, decided to go back to Alert for a refresher lesson. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the instructor I had (Polly) was as good (if not better) than those that I had previously. She quickly picked up on my problem areas and corrected those, while managing to keep the lesson fun and entertaining. I would highly recommend Alert to anyone looking to learn how to ride or improve their riding skills.

Negative experience: Rosa my instructor was good,she did get me confused with another student and seemed a bit baffled when I didn't know anything about what she was showing me and didn't seem to believe she hadn't yet taught me that, later she apologized and realised she hadn't shown me, was very nice about it and we moved forward, life is busy, things happen so I thought. The communication at this business is however very lacking. I had previously arrived for a lesson that was confirmed over the phone but no instructor arrived, I couldn't reach anyone so I left. A couple of weeks later I had to change a booking as was suffering chronic hayfever and so I called prior to the booking and asked if I could reschedule, I specifically said why and that if I couldn't I would come down anyway and just push through. I was told could be a safety issue and it was ok to reschedule. I arrived for my next lesson and then was told I was being charged for that one, this would have been ok if I hadn't been told it was not a problem to reschedule. I asked about their stuff up when they didn't show and I was told it was never confirmed and the guy who I had spoken with said he recalls the conversation and giving me a lesson time but that it wasn't in the diary, I said isn't that your issue and not mine? I was pretty annoyed and gave the feedback it probably wasn't the best time to raise this prior to the lesson and that I think I will just leave it and get lessons elsewhere, I paid the cancellation fee and angrily left. I really can't understand them feeling it's ok to miscommunicate and waste my time but charge me for theirs.

Having now passed my REA and RE riding tests first time after being trained by them, I cannot recommend them highly enough!
