Fantastic experience: This is a very overdue review. I had a couple of lessons with Ian and I passed the first test without issue. This would not have happened if I did not practice wit Ian. He gave super detailed instructions, made sure that he was very satisfied with a certain skill that I need improvement on and was extremely patient until I perfected the certain skill. He gave sincere opinions if you are ready. He is an absolute legend. Highly recommended. Thanks so much Ian.

Fantastic experience: Ian is an excellent teacher. After many years of not driving and lacking confidence, I needed to get my licence and am so glad I came across Ian and Wheels Driving Academy. After 10 lessons I comfortably passed my test and am a confident driver. Being pregnant at the same time was added stress but Ian has helped many mothers-to-be get their licence in time for baby's arrival! Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Ian is an excellent teacher. I went to a couple of other schools in the area, and the quality difference was night and day. While other instructors were indifferent, stressful and unclear on the rules and in their instruction, Ian was calm, clear, technically precise and deeply knowledgeable. Having failed my test with other instructors, I passed on my first time with Ian - I can’t recommend him enough. He is also a lovely guy.

Fantastic experience: Ian is diligent and consistent. Me and my friend passed first time and received the exact same level of attention from Ian. He aims to pass you first time by teaching you best practice at all times. Additionally Ian is sincere and fair. Ian is the best possible driving instructor you can find and it has been a true pleasure going through this learning journey with him. To me Ian is not only by far the most knowledgeable teacher but also a very patient and supportive one. I can’t recommend him enough! His approach and teaching methods are well-proven and he adapts according to your level. As I was a new driver with minimal experience, Ian taught me the fundamentals of driving a manual car and really made sure I did the basics right and well. Ian knows exactly what is required to do well and get the licence on the first attempt, so he helped me practice and fine-tune until I became confident. I had many moments of doubts and gaps in my practice due to travels etc., but Ian’s patience and support helped me get into to the right mindset and improve. Fantastic experience: Ian was incredible, he will tailor a program to suit you and your confidence level. His experience as an instructor in multiple countries and patience will give you the confidence to pass first go. He doesn’t just focus on passing but in ensureing that you’re a courteous and safe driver. He’s not only a great instructor but also a genuinely nice guy to have to got have known throughout the lessons.

I tried learning to drive twice before and had two previous driving instructors. However, I gave up as I struggling with my confidence and technique. Ian helped me become more confident on the road and after a few months I passed my test. Ian is patient and puts you at ease the minute you sit into the car. Negative experience: Don't ever use this guy as a driving educator for your loved ones!! The arrogance he displayed today in "queue jumping" to take a car park (while I had been patiently) waiting for one, was only superseded by his claims he was doing nothing wrong and he'd "only be a few minutes so don't worry another park will be there for you soon". If his students are learning this sort of irresponsible, lack of courtesy as road users, then we are all in danger! Time for you to go and look for a mother vocation mate, its not how we do things in our community!! (I note he's also shown little respect for others' cars by another post here!! He probably also "stole" these two car parking spots appearing in his promotional photo?)

Fantastic experience: Ian is a fantastic driving instructor. He is extremely knowledgeable about safe driving and the requirements of the test, and his methodical approach to teaching ensures all necessary maneuvers and situations are mastered. His gentle and patient demeanour helped me keep calm and continue driving instead of succumbing to nerves whenever I made a mistake or got us into a tricky situation. He was also very flexible about scheduling (and rescheduling as needed) lessons to suit my availability. Thanks to Ian I passed the test on my first attempt with a near perfect score. I definitely recommend him to anyone looking to get their license.
