Fantastic experience: Big thanks to Simon for the advice over the phone and Malcolm for helping me get it over line to obtain my R class. Malcolm is an amazing trainer. He generally believes in you and your capabilities he's very knowledgeable and really helps you hone your skills. He doesn't overload you with information. Communicates effectively and allows you to go at your own pace. The gsx8r was a pleasure to ride, but over the whole experience, it was amazing. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Training with Malcom, he grew my confidence to pass my R class PDA. He knew I could ride, with all my experience he never undermined my abilities. He communicated clearly and is an attentive teacher. Having his belief in me I had the confidence to pass my R class. I attempted 3 times. 1st was my motorbike was not up to Canningtons DOT standards because of my tail tiedy. 2nd was because I forgot the date. 3rd time I passed at West Perth with a very fair instructor, Jamie. Overall a great experience with Malcom and someone I can trust.

Fantastic experience: 5/5 Fantastic rider training! Kody was my instructor operating out of Belmont. He gives very clear and patient instruction and is a pleasure to deal and ride with! I was looking forward to my lesson every week. He always made sure I was safe on the road, and also taught me how to keep myself safe when riding. Every time I ride and do something stupid I hear his voice in the back of my head :) Not only passed the test first try, but feel safe and confident riding by myself. Thanks!

Fantastic experience: Kody was a brilliant instructor with the patience of a saint. Id never ridden before and he took me from a nervous starter to a confident rider capable of keeping myself safe on the road. Not once did he suggest extra lessons for his financial benefit - as soon as he knew I was ready to take the test he let me know. Not only did he teach safe riding but he made it fun as well with some decent banter along the way. Would recommend to anyone looking to get their licence!!

Fantastic experience: I recently undertook training for my RE- Class license at Smart Rider training. My instructor Kody proved to be knowledgable and encouraging. When it came time for the test I felt confident, knowing we’d covered all its components. Kody was able to evaluate my riding skills from the first lesson. He is a really friendly guy and a brilliant instructor. I was able to pass first time thanks to the excellent training I received. But I go out on the roads now with confidence, not because I could pass a test, but because he showed me again and again, the level of alertness required to ride safe. Cheers Kody!

I have had experience on two wheels off road before but he knew exactly where to start and concentrated on which areas I would need to work on to transition to the road. He has made me a much more comfortable rider and I will be recommending him to anyone looking to get their bike licence. Great guy too!

Fantastic experience: Simon Poole is currently teaching me to ride. He has given me the confidence to get out on the road safely. His patience and knowledge is amazing, allowing me to learn techniques and traffic rules whilst riding. As I work full time, he has been really flexible fitting in lessons to suit me. Fantastic experience: Started motorcycle lessons with Simon early March 2017 and passed my RE yesterday on the first attempt less than 4 weeks in (I haven't got on a bike since more than 10 years ago). Simon is an easy going instructor who genuinely cares for his students safety and improving their riding skills. He reads his students well on a bike and would give you good feedback on points to improve and knows what you are doing when you are riding with him. Couldn't recommend him enough for anyone who wants to learn the road craft the right way and also more importantly, acquire survival skills on the road. Will go back for lessons once a year has passed for my full R license.

Fantastic experience: Cannot recommend Simon enough for anyone new or old looking to learn or improve their riding skills and knowledge. I started with Simon to achieve my restricted licence and then again for my open class. I could tell from the start Simon has a true passion for bikes and keeping the men and women on them safe. His knowledge base is great and covers both sport and cruiser style bikes and riding (I ride cruisers). Most importantly I know of a few times since riding Simon's training and tricks has kept me from hitting the road or cars hitting you! Enjoy and ride safe

Fantastic experience: I took up the idea of getting my license in 2013, I rang Simon to let him know that I was completely green to riding and he detailed what I would learn. Simon's way of teaching is done in a relaxed and easy going manner. Wouldn't rush to the next step, would let you understand and grasp the ideas of an aspect and would only move on if he saw the confidence and improvements he is looking for in a rider. He would explain scenarios in how they happen and what to do to stay safe. The bikes are very easy to control and quite modern .Simon has made learning to ride a very enjoyable experience. So for anyone looking for a top notch instructor, you can't go past Simon at Smartrider motorcycle training.

Fantastic experience: Simons knowledge and instructing capabilities are second to none. He was able to adapt his teaching methods to suit the way in which i learned and his explanation and scenarios of why we do this or that made it clear in my head the importance of good riding position, bike control and situational awareness when on the road. I will be lookig at doing my R class license later this year and I will definitely be going back to smartrider to fine tune my skills, correct my bad habits and graduate to a big bike. Fantastic experience: I decide to learn to ride a bike about three years ago. I took my first couple of lessons with another school and the instructor got me in a couple of situations that scared me, because I wasn't ready to be doing the things asked of me as I simply didn't have the skills. Being in my early 40's I wondered if it was worth it and had some trepidation as to continuing to learn to ride. But I decided to give it another shot, and that's how I ended up with Simon. What a difference a different instructor made. Simon is very knowledgeable about the actual techniques it takes to ride, and describes them so clearly that by the end of my first lesson with him I was enjoying myself and feeling I could truly control a motorcycle and that motorcycling was for me. Simon progresses you at every lesson, but never takes you outside your comfort zone. And with Simon's calm, relaxed manner, your comfort on a motorcycle grows rapidly. I took lessons with Simon for both my motorcycle classes and past both tests first time, because Simon gave me the skills to be in control of a motorcycle, and most importantly, to be always safe on the road. Since having my licence, I have had the pleasure of riding some of the most powerful production motorcycles ever built. I'm no Guy Martin, but I've been able to climb aboard these powerful bikes with confidence and ride them within my limits thanks to the lessons learnt from Simon. I have had relatives and friends take lessons with Simon based on my experiences with him. I can't recommend him highly enough.

Fantastic experience: Simon is an excellent instructor who puts safety and common sense before all else. Learning to ride a bike was a daunting exercise mentally, but when I met Simon and began training with Smartrider, my confidence on the bike flew up and with the knowledge that I'm learning to ride with a highly exerienced instructor and that I was learning skills and techniques that would possibly one day save my life. For all this and much more, I could never recommend Simon and Smartrider enough. Excellent instructor, highly enjoyable lessons.

Fantastic experience: My experience with Smart Rider Training and Simon simply put; was best money and time I have spent. He taught me some of the best rules by which I still ride today. I was able to pass my test on the first try for R-E Class. I am still in touch with Simon because he is always happy to share his knowledge of motorcycles and I will need his help with my R-Class! Fantastic experience: I'm over 65 and hadn't ridden a bike before. This was one of the best training experiences I've ever had. Simon was succinct, thorough, patient, good natured and friendly. He prepped thoroughly before we started and explained all the potential dangers and how to avoid them. He pointed out all the features of the bike and how they worked and then, during the various exercises, he repeated the process as often as I needed until it became intuitive. I learnt a lot in a short time and as a result of this course, I gained enough knowledge and confidence to go out and buy a bike and now I'm riding country roads and in city traffic and loving every minute of it. Simon's a great teacher and I highly recommend anyone wanting to learn to ride to give him call.
