Fantastic experience: Hubby and I attended the 2 day course for caravan towing. It was an amazing hands on experience and education. Paul, our instructor, was incredible and so knowledgeable. We started with getting to know our vehicle and ended with knowing our vehicle with van in tow. Paul tutored us in all things essential for knowing both our car and van - braking at speeds from 40km to 50km with our van - wet and dry - in a safe controlled environment. We did straight, slalom forwards and backwards, reversing and right angle reversing. It was the best spent two days ever - building knowledge and confidence. We highly recommend this course and know we have walked away knowing so much more than when we started and also knowing we need to continue to practice what we have learned. Thanks Roadcraft Driver Education and Paul - our instructor.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend the Roadcraft 2 Day Towing Course. We are newbie caravanners & never towed a caravan before. Thanks to our instructor Paul, I now have confidence & know the 'how to' reversing a caravan & implementing practice manoeuvring of "the beast" (20.6ft caravan) in a safe road training environment was great. Moreover, we learnt a valuable lesson in applying threshold & emergency brakes in wet & dry conditions at various speeds in a safe environment that demonstrated the braking distance of the vehicle alone & with caravan attached. It was reassuring to see the rig handled well. Now to get out there & consolidate the valuable knowledge & skills into practice. Fantastic experience: If you’ve never done a road safety course before, I highly recommend Roadcraft. The two day towing course was excellent. I learned a great deal, despite 40+ years of towing experience. Our trainer, Max, was knowledgeable and presented us with challenges to test our driving skills and knowledge of road rules. We covered everything from emergency braking, to tyre pressures, trailer weights, and how to provide assistance to your partner, backing the vehicle without creating a domestic dispute. There were just two vehicles (2 couples) on the course, which provided good opportunity for practice under Max’s watchful eye. Even with full two days, we had trouble getting through all of the training exercises. No witches hats were injured. .

Fantastic experience: As a new driver, I learnt a lot of skills that will keep me safer on the road. The learning was not only engaging, but enjoyable. The instructors, particularly Mark and Jeff were fantastic and allowed me to feel safe in the vehicle, and understand and engage in the theory work completed in the classroom. Thanks, Roadcraft!

Fantastic experience: The 2-day safe towing course is a must for all caravaners. The course exceeded my expectations, it was great to gain an understanding of how our van and vehicle combination handles emergency situations plus the tips and knowledge that we came away with. The instructor was friendly and personal. This course is worth every cent.

Fantastic experience: My partner and I recently completed the two day towing course. We both learned some great tips and advice, not to mention the fact I had never towed a caravan and was right angle reversing and driving through Gympie after one day! And I got behind the wheel on the way home. The course also increased our awareness of the time and space theory and practice, resulting in both of us definitely changing our driving behaviour. Fantastic experience: My partner and I were new to towing a caravan, so we attended the 2 day Towing course at Roadcraft. We could not have been happier, having received excellent tuition and guidance in every area, many of which we weren't even aware of. The facilities are excellent and well maintained, the teacher, Paul, had decades of experience and was extremely generous with sharing his invaluable knowledge, and was a really lovely and passionate guy as well. We learned so much not only about safely towing caravans, but it was a well overdue revisiting of many of the road rules that us 'experienced' drivers tend to forget. The expertise that Paul has now passed onto us is invaluable, If you have a caravan this is a must do course. Not only will you find out the capabilities of your car & caravan, you will leave with so much confidence. My wife was a very hesitant participant going into the course but is now very confident when it comes to towing and reversing into a tight spot like some caravan parks give us. Highly Recommend.

Fantastic experience: If you own a caravan, trailer or camper, I recommend this course without hesitation. The course contains invaluable information that you will take with you whenever you set off on the open road. I learnt so much in the 2 days not only about my caravan, but also about my vehicle. The training facilities are 1st class. I cannot speak highly enough of our instructor who was incredibly knowledgeable, courteous & encouraged us to ask questions if we were not sure about something, no matter how trivial it might have seemed. The fact that the Queensland Ambulance Service send their paramedics there for driver training speaks volumes. Before the course, my reversing skills were quite frankly terrible. In fact the very thought of trying to reverse my caravan terrified the living daylights out of me. But now, thanks to the efforts of our instructor, and lots & lots of practice on the training facility, I can now reverse my caravan with confidence. I learnt about electronic braking, which I had fitted to my vehicle, but had absolutely no idea how it should be set up, and that it required different settings depending on whether I was on the open road, or if I was in a built up area. I really was a complete novice. Thank you Roadcraft for providing me with the skills, knowledge and driver training that I now possess that I will take with me for the rest of my life. Fantastic experience: Would highly recommend the 2 day towing course at Roadcraft Driver Education in Gympie for anyone, novice or experienced, who tows a caravan. This course will teach you far more about safe towing than how to reverse a caravan! I have attended a number of driver training courses over the years and this one stands head and shoulders above the others.

Fantastic experience: I had the opportunity to attend a Provisional Driver Course at Roadcraft over this last weekend. As a person with approximately 40 years of quite varied driving experience I was very impressed with every aspect. It had a perfect blend of theoretical information and hands on practical driving in a a challenging but safe environment. The Instructors Jeff and Jordan were very knowledgeable and approachable and made everything not only informative but enjoyable. A great learning experience for all of the participants . After taking part and seeing it for myself I am confident that it will build on skills that are potentially life saving. I would highly recommend Roadcraft Driver Training to anyone considering taking part in any of the courses offered.

Negative experience: An excellent 2 day 4wd training course. Trainer personalised the course to suit our vehicle and the type of terrain that we intend to use it for. Relaxed, in-vehicle coaching and encouragement from Glen left us feeling fully aware of our vehicle's capabilities and gave us the confidence to tackle things we wouldn't have attempted befores. Safety and recovery training has also added to our confidence.

Through no fault of Roadcraft we had to leave the course on the first day and they contacted us to arrange a later date to complete the course at no additional cost to us. Anyone towing something heavy for the first time should complete this course. Professional instructors, relevant course content and a good mix of theory and practical training. Fantastic experience: Awesome course! Enrolled with my partner who had no caravan towing experience (and some reluctance). The program was personal, tailored and a great blend on theoretical and practical. All new caravanners should undertake the course, you won't regret the decision. We both feel much better equipped to tow our van across Australia and have a much better understanding of how our vehicle and van with perform under unexpected circumstances.

Fantastic experience: I attended a one-day Defensive Driving Course yesterday at Benaraby with Dee and Phill and the amount of insight and skills that i learnt while with them both thoughtout the day was eye-opening! Both Dee and Phill were highly professional and shared personal experiences and actions on how to safely operate a vehicle. Highly recommended the day course to anyone who wants to gain more confidence on the road.

Fantastic experience: My husband just completed a 5 day intensive training program as part of his QAS training. The instructors are incredible and really take the time to ensure you get the most out of your course. He cannot commend them highly enough for the effort they put into every student. These guys and girls teach Paramedics how to drive so you know they are the best of the best. Thanks Roadcraft!!

Fantastic experience: Craig at Roadcraft, delivered a fully logical, comprehensive program with Roadcraft's assistant teachers, on the day. Our vehicles were the daily ride for our School Kids, so it was very important for us to learn our capabilities with our Busses. The program, as set down, fully allowed us to learn how our Busses behaved at their limits, in a thoroughly controlled area. Creds to all the crew at Roadcraft, job well done.

Fantastic experience: My daughter and her cousin just completed the 2 day learner course. They said all of the trainers were extremely knowledgeable and made it fun. I completed the course myself at their age but that was 27 years ago. It was reassuring that they also loved it! The difference one extra second of stopping distance and 5kms over the speed limit makes to their driving definitely resonated with my daughter. She will go for her driving test in about 2 weeks and the instructors feedback has not only improved her driving skills but also given her confidence a little boost. I will continue to highly recommend this course for every learner driver and look forward to bringing my son in 12 months. Thanks to the entire team!

Fantastic experience: We completed the two day towing course which includes both theory and practical exercises. As a towing novice, I now have the awareness of safe towing, of tools and processes I can use that give me the highest probability of keeping myself and others safe. This course gives you far more than the confidence to reverse and manoeuvre - for me, it was improving my entire driving skills. The instructor Rick was completely supportive. Fantastic experience: My wife and I recently did the 2 day caravan towing course, our instructor was Paul. The course was fantastic, great theory tuition and excellent practical training on the purpose built driver training track. Paul’s knowledge and patience during the 2 days made the whole course a successful experience for us both. I would thoroughly recommend this course to everyone towing a caravan whether you are experienced or a newbie. In fact this type of training should be mandatory for all caravaners.

Fantastic experience: All instructors are professional and take pride in what they do at Roadcraft, they also do attempt and succeed to bring some fun into what is a serious learning experience for drivers. Ben, Ray, Paul and Jeff were all respectful and taught new driving skills to the young drivers on the 2 day course. Have just completed the 2 day provisional course, Jeff and Jordan were very good and the personal info on your car you learn is worth it. Would recommend to anyone. Also you are not a good driver.

Fantastic experience: I completed the Adult Defensive Driver course and could not recommend Roadcraft enough. Craig was so professional, knowledgeable and really showed us how we can use the techniques learnt from the course into our everyday driving. With small class sizes, you are getting a lot of one on one time with the instructor. I would highly recommend Roadcraft if you are looking at doing a driving course in the future.

Fantastic experience: This training is excellent. I was underconfident and had never backed a trailer previously. The training significantly improved my skill, confidence and technique in both driving and towing. I can now back a caravan confidently and maneuver it into a 90 degree parking spot. Who would have thought that was possible?

Fantastic experience: Fantastic course, we cannot believe how much we learned, we drove over large rocks, through water, up and down steep hills, learned how to get out of trouble in deep mud and snatch other vehicles. Most importantly we experienced what our vehicle is capable of and we learned how to use all the gears. Our instructors Craig and Paul were fantastic. For the girls, if you want to build you confidence and learn how to 4WD properly do this course. Thanks Roadcraft.

Fantastic experience: I thought this course was fantastic. The trainer Dee was very knowledgeable and explained each aspect of what we were learning. I think all drivers young and old should do a course like this. I have found myself being more aware when driving and put into practice what I learned during the course I attended. Well done.

Fantastic experience: Due to cancellations, we were invited to attend the towing course we were wanting to take part of earlier than expected. We were able to take our hybrid camper trailer and got all the attention and assistance of our instructor, Woody, as we were the only students. It was a great weekend and we learned new things as well as refreshed and updated old knowledge. Highly recommend these courses.

Fantastic experience: Just did the Safe Towing course as we are first time caravaners about to "do the lap". Wow! what an experience to learn how to handle the vehicle first and then with the van. We have both come away with great skills (to practice) and heaps of knowledge to apply to our everyday driving as well as our towing journey. Every car owner should have to do one of the safe driving courses, and it should be mandatory for caravaners as you soon realise how much you DON'T know, as compared with what you think you do. Fantastic experience: The day was very informative and presented in a friendly and comfortable manner. Information given was clear and precise. I was impressed with the kindness and consideration given to all the aged participants.

Fantastic experience: My instuctor MAX has a great personality and this enables him to communicate and translate vital information to drivers who might think they are good drivers but really fall short of what it takes to totally avoid a road accident with a pedestrian or another motor vehicle. That was me. My eyes were literally OPENED to see the big picture of what a motorist should be looking for while driving anywhere at any time. I only needed this one day with MAX and my whole perspective of SAFE road travel and actions that can be consciously undertaken every moment that you are driving, were activated, and seem to be constantly coming to mind as I drove my car today. I think my driving life and even other life activities will change due to being totally aware of OBSERVATION (primary and peripheral) before entering into a possible calamity. THANKS MAX FOR ADDING TO MY LIFE SKILLS

Fantastic experience: Definitely recommend everyone doing a course here. The tutors are great and I learnt a lot about the finer points of 4WDing, driving physics and had a great time at it! Excellent initiative.

Fantastic experience: The defensive driver course for P drivers is so good. I went for a drive with one of the instructors around the facilities and was so surprised with what the have available and to offer for all driving courses (4wd, defensive). As they do all of the defensive driving courses for Qld Ambulance you have a lot of confidence in what they offer. Both of our youngest have done their courses here and both were highly complimentary about what they learned and how much it improved their awareness and driving.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely loved going there earlier this week and I had great fun driving the cars. Peter and Warren were very nice driving instructors and I really liked them and they taught me everything. We practiced cornering and braking and zig zagging and leant a lot of new things. 100% going back there and driving the cars and learning the same things again. Well done Peter and Warren you are really good driving instructors and taught me new things’ keep it up.

Fantastic experience: We did the 2 day towing course and found it to be very beneficial even though we have been towing our 3 tonne + caravan around for 4 years. I have been towing boats and box trailers around for many, many years and felt confident stepping up to the heavier loads of caravans, however, Mike, our instructor, displayed exceptional knowledge in relation to all aspects of towing, braking & manoeuvring to the degree that I learnt things I didn't know and even my wife feels totally confident handling the car & van combination. After doing this course I would highly recommend that anyone who has a caravan or considering purchasing one should undertake this course for the safety of themselves and other road users. Fantastic experience: I attended the one day course today 18/1/2020. I was so very fortunate to have Rod as my Educator. The program was well delivered with patience, clear direction and respectfully. After 42 years of driving i was wrong in thinking i didnt have much to learn. Positive experience: I attended the course 6 months ago, and am now in a position to leave a review on the course I attended. The course and instructor and location where all 5 star. However I feel the course our company attended was not suited for the issues we have had at our company and continue to have. Fantastic experience: I have an open license and recently completed the adult driver course. I've learned so much from the experienced instructor from the theory then straight to the track. I didn't know my car could could slide like that! Safety is paramount and given a location to safely carry out more advanced driving techniques. Fantastic experience: This course was absolutely amazing. Even though it was only two days I learnt so much on how to save myself and others on the road from crashing. I also learnt how to see hazards before I come up to them and safer personnel driving that could save my life if I got hit for any reason. I really got to give up to the gentlemen who taught us and guided us through the courses and Peter who taught us the theory side of the causes and the effects. Once again I thank road craft for this amazing self saving knowledge and experience. I hope you can spread the word out more and get others to acknowledge everything I learnt and the the other students. I really hope more can come to these courses and learn how to save themselves from any situation.

Fantastic experience: I attended Roadcraft on 8/9 June 2019 to update my towing skills and knowledge. Roadcraft facilities are fantastic, all theory is done in their offices and practical work is done on their private roadway course. There were only 2 students during our course, which meant we had plenty of 1 on 1 time with the instructor. Our instructor was very good, he made the course interesting and easy to understand. He encouraged us to ask questions and to get involved in all aspects of the course. In fact, all staff members I had contact with were excellent, very helpful and easy going. I learnt so much about towing a caravan and the capabilities of my tow vehicle. Most importantly, I gained a lot of knowledge and a huge confidence boost when towing. I would highly recommend Roadcraft to anyone who is keen to improve their driving skills and knowledge.

Fantastic experience: (i am 16 and on my Ls) Awesome!! so so good i left feeling more safe on the roads knowing what to do in situations and how to keep myself safe. this should be compulsory for every student my age everyone needs to know this stuff i'm so so glad i've been equipped with the knowledge that will allow me to potentiality save mine and my passenger's lives one day. the instructors had so much knowledge and tips to offer for any skill level driver, and were patient and friendly. Fantastic experience: I attended roadcraft yesterday and today (May 13 & 14) had an amazing time. Not only educational but fun! Rod, the man who assisted my group in the car was very trusting and patient and was always ready to answer questions. Max was also very helpful. Being able to create a fun vibe in a classroom is hard but he never failed to do so. I appreciate the experience they provided to me and my class mates. Very happy I attended. Thank you roadcraft!

Fantastic experience: My wife and I completed the "Safe Towing Course" and would highly recommend this course and the organisation to people of all skill levels. (Check it out they have a range of courses available). The admin staff are approachable accommodating and professional with all inquiries. Our trainer made the experience enjoyable, educational and most importantly developed our skills and ability. Doing this course has increased our individual and joint confidence. We can't wait to get "out there" and put into practice the range of enhanced "defensive driving" skills we learnt. The opportunity to be trained in a classroom environment and then have practical experience in our own vehicles in emergency braking was unique. Fantastic experience: We have recently completed a two day Drive and Manoeuvre Trailers course, and have to say what an excellent course this is. From knowing all about your towing vehicle to your trailer/caravan details, to Road Rules and actually driving with and without your trailer. Learning defensive and safe driving skills and so much more. Tutors were second to none and certainly knew their stuff. Thanks Mike and Tom. Now we are putting it into practise, and have gained so much more confidence by also knowing the legal requirements to safely tow. Would certainly recommend this course to both new people wanting to tow, and existing caravaners like ourselves. Thanks to a really professional organisation, and we got a certificate as well.

After 40+ years of driving I had much to learn especially useful to fine tune my driving techniques to reduce risk and stay safer on the roads. The Driving Educators were very professional and delivered clear messages across all participants, mostly young guys who clearly took home safer driving capabilities. Both theory and practical skills were demonstrated and practiced with each participant taking turns in small groups, all taking on board advice received from patient Educators. I recommend anybody driving to look and book one of a wide range of courses available at Roadcraft - it could save your life!

Fantastic experience: The 2 day Safe Tow Course run by Roadcraft is something EVERY caravanner should do! The techniques you learn, as well as understanding the potential performance of your rig, instills a confidence that only practice can improve, and you will find you can't wait to get out there and practice more! What had started as a bit of a daunting experience when we realized just how big and heavy the van we'd ordered was actually going to be, has now become quite exciting. We both take turns driving and feel confident with each other's abilities having both passed all the tests. This is also an important thing to do if you ever plan on travelling remotely - if something was to happen healthwise to the usual driver, the other needs to be able to take over whether it's to get to help, or meet the partner after the RFDS took them elsewhere, and you don't want the first time you handle the rig to be under such duress, it needs to be virtually second nature. This is also a govt accredited course, so if they do end up bringing in new licencing rules, we've already got it covered and receive a certificate to that effect. Cannot recommend highly enough. Not only could it mean a lot less caravan accidents, but a lot less nerves for people trying to park them! I repeat, just do it. Think of the cost as being less than your excess if something does go wrong, and having done this, that chance is reduced.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I took part in the 2 day towing and reversing course at Roadcraft. It was absolutely fantastic. Woody, our instructor, had so much experience in driving and towing caravans and buses so he was able to use many real life examples to match the theory he was teaching us. The theory part was presented in an easy to follow and interesting way and there was always time made for questions and discussions. It was a great time to refresh road rules and learn new ones. The practical side was excellent. As there were only 2 couples we all were given lots of time to be behind the wheel of our car to experience driving at different speeds and experiencing how the car reacted and then the difference when our caravan was connected to the car. We picked up lots of tips for reversing and Woody was a very patient teacher assisting each of us when we were having difficulties. An excellent course. Woody also gave us tips on tyres pressures, connecting our caravan correctly and weights on tow balls and in the car. I would recommend it to anyone, whether they were a new driver or had been driving for between 40 and 50 years as most of us had. I would encourage any new driver to enrol in the defensive driving part especially. Well done Roadcraft, you are doing a great job. Keep up the good work. Jean and Col
