Eclipse Driving School

Negative experience: Drove down to their office on Dec 19/2024 only to find the door closed with no information why not open. Spoke with nearby unit who said they had not been there for several months and thought they were working from a residential address. Phoned them and was advised the company was winding down and closing. Why did they leave the web site and address active when it was non operational from that address. Not very good and totally wasted my time going to the office to discuss in person lessons for autistic person. Disappointed to say the least

Negative experience: Business is uncontactable. Driving instructor turned up in a non driving school car. Car old and dirty. Whole experience made my 16 year old daughter feel uncomfortable. Very unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: I just passed my driving test after practicing a few weeks with instructor Mike! Absolutely recommended, every lesson is great fun with so many amazing stories while remaining professional and instructional.

His knowledge of the road and ability to remain calm and collective during lessons is unmatched by any instructor that I've ever had. Thanks to his teaching, I passed my test with minimal marks. Negative experience: Instructor cancelled on me 20 minutes before my lesson, meaning I didn’t get to hire the car for my pda, failed because I had to use a big 4x4 instead

Negative experience: I had a test package with this company booked about maybe a year ago and they didn’t show up and I lost $100 that was my PDA, booked with my job provider. Quite frustrating honestly I did email them even called them about it with no response . Never heard back from them

Fantastic experience: I have just completed a full 50 hours of manual driving lessons with driving instructor Mike Kurzawa in which I had passed the practical driving test on my first attempt. Mike was a fantastic educator for the manual driving license, and as such, I can highly recommend his services if you are interested in learning manual.

Fantastic experience: Previously I learned by myself but was unsuccessful the PDA. I think it is important that the instructor to help me pass and repeat practice. I would like to recommend Margaret from Eclipse Driving School. I learned 5 hr lesson, 1 hr lesson and driving test. She was very patience and guided throughout the lesson. Finally I passed at Rockingham.

Negative experience: Watch out for Kristie Chambers if you're dealing with this company! She's an instructor with a superiority complex who will cancel appointments at the drop of a hat, without any regard for your time or schedule. And if you dare question her actions, get ready to be called rude and difficult. Oh, and if you happen to be from Centrelink? Forget about being treated with respect; she sees you as nothing more than a lowly second-class citizen. Ms chamber you definitely don’t teach me for free the government provides funding to assist financially challenged students like myself to access quality instructions. I’m not here for your to talk to me however you like.

Negative experience: Not very professional. It's unfortunate to say but we took the 10 lessons package and manage to only get 4 lessons as on three occasions the morning sessions would get cancelled all though the 7:30 am timeslot was provided as an option. I would not recommend them. We've requested for a refund for the remainder of the lessons.

Fantastic experience: Highly Recommend Eclipse Driving School. Our son had Fatemeh as his instructor who was absolutely amazing, she gave our son such great confidence behind the wheel and got him to pass his PDA on his 1st go. Thank you Fatemeh!!!

Negative experience: Iv been cancelled on 3 different times by 2 different people on the day, the instructors are disrespectful and mean and my first lesson with them I learnt nothing because I went on long straight roads and they didn’t explain how Manuel works.

Negative experience: usually wouldn’t post stuff like this but honestly so disappointed with the non communication i had trying to contact the rockingham office for an instructor for my PDA.Hours state that they are open during 7am-7pm monday-saturday yet i’ve tried calling all day and no call back nor an email. Would expect a response back after hours or calling

Fantastic experience: Got Mike as an instructor and couldn't be happier, passed second time around and was nothing but a good teacher.

Negative experience: Would not recommend them to anyone after the display one of there instructors put on today. Completely ignored a 40 zone with workers on the road and continued at 70. Failed to acknowledge a merge sign and continued to push ahead until they had to slam there brakes on. Tailgated numerous people. If you don't know how to drive you shouldn't be teaching others.

With all the drivers a helping the kids with all the driving skills and tips. It’s a great day to hangout and to get a bit of knowledge about todays road rules. I will be coming back

Fantastic experience: Eclipse caught my eye offering female instructors after I had negative experiences with egos of male driving instructors at other schools. I learnt to drive a manual with Pat Prosser and couldn't be happier. She treated me like the grown human I am. She took a very patient, kind and skilled approach. She appropriately encouraged me to make safe driving moves I needed the push to take. Pat is a passionate teacher who really knows the PDA back to front. I was able to pass first time in Midland thanks to Pat (and actually had fun along the way)

Negative experience: Bought 2 X driving lesson packages for my son, the first one a 10 lesson pack and then a 25 lesson pack. After 11 lessons, due to a severe medical issue, which his instructor was aware of, he is unable to use the remainder of the 25 pack. For a week I have been asking for a refund of the 24 unused lessons. Each time i call the very polite and helpful office staff promise that they have passed my messages onto Trish and that my refund will be processed, but nothing happens. Today, Friday the 12th March I requested a call from Trish to explain to me what the issue was but i didn’t receive any contact from her at all. Extremely disappointed as my son who is coming to terms with his diagnosis is also now blaming himself for the $1400 that is yet to be refunded to us.

Fantastic experience: Sanjay is a very professional instructor. He helped my daughter build her confidence within a fewlessons. He explained everything very clearly, and was very patient with her. He remained calm at all times. I can now sleep with peace knowing she is confident on the road.

Negative experience: Shocking experience. I believe that even the owner can't be a director due to his police record.

Fantastic experience: Rick was patient, reassuring and professional. While driving well, my son had failed 2 previous PDA attempts and his confidence was badly affected. A lesson, mock test, and pre-test lesson with Rick made all the difference and he passed the next attempt. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: My instructor Sanjay was without a doubt the best one around! From the first lesson to the last lesson an hour before my test he was calm, reassuring, informative and positive. His standards are high and he’s very precise, something that resulted in me passing the test first time! Sanjay focuses mostly on the importance of being a safe driver, once he teaches you the appropriate driving skills required to travel safely you realise that the test is easy! I would recommend him to anyone who wants to not only pass the test, but also learn how to be an expert on the roads! Couldn’t thank him enough for an amazing experience!

My son enjoyed all aspects of the morning and was impressed that both driving instructors made him feel comfortable. Fantastic experience: I had a driving lesson with Pat for one hour and in that hour she covered everything i needed to know to ensure i passed my drivers test. After failing on 2 other occasions i finally passed due to a one hour driving lesson with eclipse and a very experienced instrutor Pat.

Fantastic experience: Eclipse Taught my son the Right and Lawful way to Drive his instructor Dave was amazin and I noticed the difference in his safe driving after just the first lesson. My son Passed his PDA first time. Then at my request went on to complete Advanced driving lessons out of the city bounds so that he could learn to make life saving decisions in Emergency situations. I can not recommend this company high enough because Dave's Guidance changed my sons whole attitude and knowledge of being on the road. I didn't want my son to just pass I wanted him to stay alive once he was out there alone.

Negative experience: Not at all Professional.The Team is a cheat who gives half information to attract the customer and later back-off from their commitments.Had a terrible experience when the team left me days before my test saying they do not have slots to accommodate me. A big "No" if you want to choose them.

Fantastic experience: I was required to convert my overseas licence to a Western Australian licence. As I was unsure of the process for PDA here I enlisted the help of EDS to help me prepare. I had two lessons with Margo and can not fault the service I received. She prepared me very well and I felt confident going into the PDA. I would recommend Eclipse to anyone who is after reliable and friendly service.

His teaching techniques are easy to follow and If you are especially nervous like me.. he is soo good with calming your nerves, helping you breathe and paying attention to what you need to do on the road. Went above and beyond in his teaching. Would highly recommend him to anyone! Thanks Haithman I learnt a lot of important skills and feel more confident driving on the road now

Negative experience: The worst customer service I have ever had.I called to reschedule a lesson and without hearing me out the customer service guy(DAVID) cancelled my previous lesson and hanged up.I called again, he immediately told me to go elsewhere right after I introduced myself and hanged up

Negative experience: I am really sorry, to be leaving a negative review on your web page the service we have received from your driving school was extremely lacking. Even though my son had a great repour with your instructor it was not enough, my son had a great first lesson but your instructor did not schedule another lesson after this even though he recommended a further 2 more lessons prior to his PDA the following week. Then trying to make another appointment for these lessons was difficult as we got no response from your instructor. Your instructor cancelled lessons with 4 hours notice, now if were to cancel this lesson we would have needed 24 hours notice! Then proceeded to book my son in for a 2 hour lesson prior to his PDA keep in mind his PDA was booked for 7.55 am which instructor was 10 minutes late for. Then at some point the instructors car check engine light came on due to what my son was told was different fuel and the instructor proceeded to have this vehicle checked prior to the PDA to ensure the vehicle was road worthy this in turn made them late for the PDA as they only arrived 1 minute prior to the PDA instead of the required 15 minutes. I can’t help but think if we have had the lesson on the Tuesday the instructor should have been experienced enough to know that my son was not ready for his PDA instead it turned out to be a very expensive day and early morning, not even a offer of a free lesson was given. Your services are lacking, and we have been left feeling like you just took advantage we will be doing our research in future and be sure to read all reviews prior to selecting these services, my son will not be booking in again with your driving school and we will recommend this service.

Fantastic experience: I 100% recommend Dave Beneke when booking lessons. He covers plenty of the south of the river suburbs. Not only is he super patient and knowledgable, he’s very friendly and puts 100% effort into every lesson. His methods are incredibly easy to understand and execute making every lesson enjoyable.

Fantastic experience: Thank you to Wilma for teaching me defensive driving. Wilma had a great manner that made me feel at ease during the lesson. She was professional, friendly and encouraging. I have been driving for 15 years but it was great to brush up on my skills as I had picked up a lot of bad habits. My driving feels so much smoother and I'm now feeling more confident on the road. The defensive driving course also taught me how to read other cars and driving conditions. This should make me a safer driver which is especially important with my baby in the car. Fantastic experience: This is a Great School. It has Great instructors. I highly Recommend HAITHAM IDRIS. I took my lessons with him and he made driving so easy. He has a very Calm approach. This enabled me to relax and learn quickly. I passed my driving test shortly after.

Negative experience: They have messed up so many times now, firstly they wouldn't even pick up their phone, then the owner put in the wrong date for my appointment I'm not happy with this service, get it together guys. Edit: You continue to disappoint me, because I left a bad review they have cancelled an appointment I already had booked, how professional.

Fantastic experience: Before starting at eclipse driving school I had terrible anxiety driving and had tried other driving schools but didn’t feel I was getting any closer to being ready to sit my test. After only a few lessons with Julie I was already feeling more confident and capable. Parking was always a nightmare for me and made me really stressed but Julie explained each step so clearly that my fear of parking is now a thing of the past. I passed my test first time with a perfect score and non of that would have been possible with out Julie from eclipse driving school...thank you so much!!

Negative experience: I was driving along Kwinan Freeway on Tuesday at 2pm when an Eclipse Driving School vehicle (white, Hyundai accent) driven by a heavy-set guy in his late 30's mid to 40's, with a beard, was weaving all over the road, exceeding speed limit and attempting to cut in and out of traffic...he was in a big hurry!. He was driving dangerously and erractically and nearly caused a couple of accidents, but that didn't seem to bother him. I hope he had stolen one of your vehicles, rather than was an employee. Just sayin'...

Fantastic experience: Phoning and booking my 2 hour appointment and car use for test was quick, easy and the gentleman was very helpful even with my 100 questions. On the day of lesson I had the most lovely, very helpful, professional and very, very experienced Julie who I just loved from the get go. Positive experience: My daughter attended the pre-learner course on the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. The program is a great way to introduce safety and driving to young people in a controlled environment. She didn’t get to try driving a manual car as there wasn’t enough time but she enjoyed driving in the auto car. The stopping distance demonstration was a great way to finish off the morning. Thanks to all the sponsors and volunteers for their time to provide this educational experience.

Fantastic experience: My instructor David Robertson is an absolute champ. So chilled and helpful. I had a bad experience with another driving school in Perth, where the instructor was super condescending and gave very little advice on how to do anything unless prompted multiple times. My experience with David was the polar opposite. On the first lesson he sat down and went through what I was going to be tested on and whenever we attempted a new manoeuvre he would explain the steps to me first and guided me the whole time. Honestly can’t say enough good things about him. Always goes the extra mile and has made me feel like a confident driver.

Fantastic experience: Went from knowing nothing about driving to passing my test in less then 2 months time! Thanks to my driving instructor Dave Beneke! Taught me all the tricks and made sure I was ready for my test! Have already recommended to my other friends!

Negative experience: I don't pay you to yell at me or get impatient with me, I pay you to teach me

Negative experience: My driving instructor was difficult to understand and when I told him I didn't understand his explanation he looked at me as if i was stupid / crazy, he made driving very stressful by regularly raising his voice which I had to ignore so I didn't get distracted and crash, he regularly reached over and grabbed the steering wheel when i was confused as to which way to turn in instead of just telling me so i had to opportunity to learn and at one point in my lesson he directed me to go when I was stopped at a roundabout but there was a car coming that he hadn't seen and I had to slam on the breaks as hard as I could to avoid hitting the car because he used the peddles on his side to drive forward instead of allowing me to go when i knew it was safe.

Fantastic experience: Very happy with Eclipse Driving School, went to the Pre- learner driver course and could't fault them.

Fantastic experience: I hired Eclipse Driving School to provide commentary drive training to our site-based workforce in Pinjarra and Kwinana. Dave came in to give the teams a briefing and test their knowledge of road safety. After that, we booked in 6 days of driver training. Dave was very knowledgeable and accommodating and our people got a lot of value out of the experience. I highly recommend giving Dave and his team a go if you want great value one on one driver training.

Negative experience: My wife is Thai and could already drive but I got her three lessons so that she would know what was required. I specifically told the instructor this. She failed before she started the test because she didn't tell the tester to put her seat belt on. Not told this by the driving school. When I called the school about this they were unaware that a driver must check that a front seat passenger has fastened seat belt before driving. My wife now wants me to out with her as I am more helpful than either of the instructors from Eclipse. I suppose I am cheaper at least.

Fantastic experience: I had my foreign license (left hand steering) exchanged and passed the pda on my first attempt with Eclipse driving school. My instructor was Haitham Idris and he is top class.
